We started with drinks in the bar - their signature Bloody Mary is out of this world. We timed it so that we could see the sabering of the champagne before heading to dinner. The level of service that we received from the entire staff at the St. Regis was phenomenal. Our waiter gave us incredible recommendations as did the server in the bar and we decided to try the tasting menu to give everything a try. It was a delicious meal, with beautiful views of the mountain and the highlight of our entire trip. It is a great way for children to see how they run the kitchen. The service and food are outstanding. The mussels and salted caramel desert are two of their best dishes. The manager Regis Perret and Executive Chef Matt Harris could not have been nicer. Foodies delight!First of I am a foodie...My husband & are are celebrating decade birthdays all this year and this was a terrific venue to start. We loved taking the tram ride up to the St Regis, enjoying the lovely afternoon views. We enjoyed the black truffle/fontina pizza appetizer & glasses of red on the outdoor deck first for an hour, so refreshing in the mountain air. We had 7:00pm reservations and the waiter was most gracious & accommodating to our desires... We enjoyed the arugula & Bibb salad with the ginger/carrot/sesame dressing, (John our waiter secured the recipe for me!) and then we both ordered the glazed Niman short rib with a side of sautéed. We shared together the Salter Caramel Sundae..OMG!

It did not disappoint. Our experience was memorable from the moment we stepped on the lift to go up to the hotel. Our children especially loved the lift. J&G is beautifully decorated and the service was excellent. The truffle pizza appetizer and the short ribs were memorable.
