To begin with, you get to ride the "funicular" up to the restaurant...which was a treat. The service at J&G is top notch. We could not have asked for better servers. I had the tasting menu...which is always a good choice because I love variety. My favorite course was the tuna tartare--if I could I would eat it every day for the rest of my life...it was that good. This would be the perfect restaurant to impress clients. J&G Grill makes a powerful statement about delicious food and makes a lasting impression.

Big mistake to select the J&G fit our Saturday night dinner. From start to finish it was subpar and left us sad that we hadn't gone to one of usual spots. Very poor service- food was less than okay/ the trout was "too fishy" and the pork chop dry and flavorless. The one person that was working hard was the table busser- she kept trying to clear our table everytime the fork was rested--- she did clear our plates with more than half left that we decided wasn't worth eating- before the server ever came by to actually ask us how the dinner was. Still feeling hungry we tried the warm chocolate cake and ice cream dessert---- how can that be bad right?? Well we should have known- the mini ice cream scoop was freezer froze and the warm cake - cold.

A few slip-ups in service, but we could forgive the gaffs due to it being the "off" season. However, the food is top notch! Everything was delicious, and attractively presented! Wait staff - nice and accommodating, even after a few mistakes:) Love this resort / love this restaurant! Our first visit to Park City/Salt Lake, so we wanted to visit other local restaurants - mistake. J&G is best! I had the salmon & my husband had the pork chop - perfection. The salmon tasted just caught - so fresh! The pork chop was seasoned & very tender. Yum! On the 3rd floor of The St. Regis Resort Deer Valley, valet parking or self parking, and you ride up to the restaurant in a funicular. So cool! One elevator or stairway to go, and you're there:) A winner!

We expected the restaurant to be nice given the reputation and location. Everything about the restaurant far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we entered we felt very welcomed. As for the food, each course of the meal was a taste treat with excellent presentation. The pacing of the meal was exactly how a top of the line restaurant should be. I cannot express how impressed we were with the service. Nothing was overlooked. The meal became a full dining experience. We will certainly recommended it to both friends and family.

my husband and I went to celebrate my 50th birthday at J&G. I will cut to the chase and say that it is a beautiful facility. Calm, quiet, large, and yet warm. We sat on the beautiful deck ( our table rocked the entire time) so we could enjoy the view. Our waitress called me "my dear" about 500 times which not only made me feel like an old woman in a nursing home, but it was annoying and "over doing it" on all levels. Anyway...we first ordered the small flat bread app. - it was brick oven burned and had two pieces of veg. on it. For the main course we had the short ribs and the salmon......I must pause here because the level of underwhelming is hard to describe. Small, cold, and did not smell " fresh and local" as described.

The ambience was beautiful. Taking the funicular up to the restaurant was a fun treat. The service was impeccable and the food was to die for. I had the heirloom tomato with crispy onion salad and I was in heaven. The French fries and the back truffle pizza are a must! Highly recommend this place.

There are many good restaurants in Park City, but this my personal favorite. Starting with the views from the funicular that whisks you from lower Deer Valley up to the hotel and ending with great desserts, everything about J&G Grill is first class. It is not inexpensive, but it is a good value.

Take a tram ride up the mountain, a unique entrance. Restaurant was bright and airy w/very high ceilings and large windows looking out to mountains. Food was very good (though we've had a bit better at this price point - just an observation, not a complaint - the food is quite recommendable) and service was excellent (staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Nice lounge next door. Both had outdoor space for dining and/or cocktails. We liked both places very much.

I had high expectations as it is rated #1 of PC/DV restaurants when dining on Saturday,June 28.Party of 4, which really was 3, got a seat by the window as requested. They had no record of my Open Table reservation but were able to honor my request in spite of that. Service was from about 6 people and the only one that fell short was the server of food to the table. He never brought my dessert even though it sat on the service counter. Main table waiter did not charge me and comp't the other 2 desserts. Food was seasoned with Asian spices that I did not care for. The "plainly" cooked items were delicious.Beautiful restaurant with a great view. It was 3/4 full on a summer weekend night.

Restaurant never fails to deliver first rate food & service. The tuna tartare was fresh and perfectly seasoned with a ginger soy sauce. Spring tasting menu included roasted beets on ricotta cheese with a medly of herbs. This was followed by perfectly cooked red snapper: crisp skin with moist tasty fish. Next up ribs with fresh vegetables, moist and very tasty. Finale: warm chocolate cake w/vanilla ice cream and warm choco ssuce. Portion sizes were perfect, the pace excellent. All this with fabulous views as night fell over the mountains.

Easter Brunch was nothing special. I have had much better eggs Benedict elsewhere. The potatoes served with the eggs were over cooked, dried out. The dressing on the steamed shrimp salad was terrible, very bitter lacking any flavor. The vanilla bean creme brûlée was nothing special, not enough vanilla bean. I expected much better. We had to take our son somewhere else to eat after our brunch because he was still hungry.

We've eaten at J&G several times, and I'm pleased to say this was our best experience yet. Service was professional and friendly, the food was excellent, and the room was busy but not overly noisy. Lamb and tuna mains were expertly prepared, as were other courses. The wine list is extensive (and expensive), but the friendly sommelier pointed us toward a reasonable choice that complemented our food. If J&G does this consistently, it will remain one of Park City's best restaurants.

Great atmosphere. Need to take a Funicular to get up to the restaurant and the view on the way is amazing. The restaurant is awesome, the art is great, the ambiance and decorations are amazing. The wine list was amazing and we had an amazing bottle of darioush. We got 2 apps, 3 sides and 4 entrees between the four of us. it was over all great. It is pricey so definitely plan on a large tab, but its worth it. Also I reccommend walking around the hotel - the art, furniture, fire pit , etc are worth seeing for sure.
