Diner Reviews
  • "Great service and food. Can't beat the view; somewhat expensive, but food and sevice justify the cost"

  • "Heading to the St Regis is always a treat and J & G Grill does not disappoint! Everything was wonderful!"

  • "Service was excellent. The atmosphere was beautiful. The food was extremely average and overall bill was expensive."

  • "My family and I are visiting the Park City Utah area and have had lunch there on two occasions. The food and service were excellent. The view from the dining room is fantastic along with ambience of the restaurant. My wife and I had dinner there one night and it was equally as good."

  • "Make it your special night out. Great food & ambiance. Also, fun to take the funicular up to the hotel."

  • "I had high expectations as it is rated #1 of PC/DV restaurants when dining on Saturday,June 28.Party of 4, which really was 3, got a seat by the window as requested. They had no record of my Open Table reservation but were able to honor my request in spite of that. Service was from about 6 people and the only one that fell short was the server of food to the table. He never brought my dessert even though it sat on the service counter. Main table waiter did not charge me and comp't the other 2 desserts. Food was seasoned with Asian spices that I did not care for. The "plainly" cooked items were delicious.Beautiful restaurant with a great view. It was 3/4 full on a summer weekend night."

  • "If you are in the Park City area you need to try this restaurant. Excellent food and service. Fantastic view of the mountains."

  • "By far the best meal I have had in Park City, I cannot wait to go back."
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "Perfect food parings, perfect presentation and excellent service. We were attended by Glenn and couldn't ask for better service and conversation. It was an excellent experience in a great atmosphere. The relaxing, unhurried atmosphere contributed to the overall excellent food experience by allowing us the time to really savor both the presentation and preparation of the meal. Wonderful people, excellent food. Greatly appreciated and highly recommended."

  • "We were staying at the St. Regis and decided to dine at the J&G for Father's Day. I read reviews on this restaurant and they were great but we were still pleasantly surprised at how great everything tasted. Service was also outstanding! Would highly recommend."

  • "The ride up the funicular was delightful and the setting and ambiance were very nice. Food was good but not memorable. Server was a bit pretentious. He did to need to impress us with the importance of Jean-Georges."

  • "The Mother's Day brunch was memorable. The service was excellent (I wish I could remember our server's name). The food fabulous. We loved it."

  • "Restaurant never fails to deliver first rate food & service. The tuna tartare was fresh and perfectly seasoned with a ginger soy sauce. Spring tasting menu included roasted beets on ricotta cheese with a medly of herbs. This was followed by perfectly cooked red snapper: crisp skin with moist tasty fish. Next up ribs with fresh vegetables, moist and very tasty. Finale: warm chocolate cake w/vanilla ice cream and warm choco ssuce. Portion sizes were perfect, the pace excellent. All this with fabulous views as night fell over the mountains."

  • "Glenn, our waiter was just wonderful. The food was fabulous. My only criticism was the food was so good, I would like slightly larger portions. That would be an easy fix for you."
    Dined on 4/23/2014
  • "In my opinion and have been to many other Park City restaurants its not one of my favorite as far as the food is concerned and its a bit over priced location and service were great"
    Dined on 4/21/2014
  • "Easter Brunch was nothing special. I have had much better eggs Benedict elsewhere. The potatoes served with the eggs were over cooked, dried out. The dressing on the steamed shrimp salad was terrible, very bitter lacking any flavor. The vanilla bean creme brûlée was nothing special, not enough vanilla bean. I expected much better. We had to take our son somewhere else to eat after our brunch because he was still hungry. "

  • "Tuna tartare, split pea soup, yellow fin tuna, short ribs & popcorn for dessert were delicious. Service was very poor, especially the wine service."

    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "The food and ambience were wonderful, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars on the food was because the side of mashed potatoes for $10.00 was instant potatoes."

  • "We were so pleased with the entire experience! The food was exquisite, the service perfect, the atmosphere comfortable. We enjoyed something from every offering ~ tuna tartare, scallops, truffle pizza - all perfect, salads were all great, short rib, salmon, trout, New York Strip, you can't go wrong! And make sure you try the salted caramel sundae.... WOW! We'll be back!"

  • "We have been going to J&G since it opened and the restaurant never disappoints. The food is excellent, the service awesome, and the atmosphere great. Highly recommend."

  • "We've eaten at J&G several times, and I'm pleased to say this was our best experience yet. Service was professional and friendly, the food was excellent, and the room was busy but not overly noisy. Lamb and tuna mains were expertly prepared, as were other courses. The wine list is extensive (and expensive), but the friendly sommelier pointed us toward a reasonable choice that complemented our food. If J&G does this consistently, it will remain one of Park City's best restaurants."

  • "From the hostess staff to the wait-staff to the chef and cooks; all were amazing. Food was excellent. We went there for lunch the next day and had the best lobster roll ever. It was fabulous!"

  • "Ambience was beautiful and light. Beautiful views of the ski resort. Good and service was great. We went with our 7 and 9 year old and had a wonderful time. Worth the price of the meal."

  • "Great atmosphere. Need to take a Funicular to get up to the restaurant and the view on the way is amazing. The restaurant is awesome, the art is great, the ambiance and decorations are amazing. The wine list was amazing and we had an amazing bottle of darioush. We got 2 apps, 3 sides and 4 entrees between the four of us. it was over all great. It is pricey so definitely plan on a large tab, but its worth it. Also I reccommend walking around the hotel - the art, furniture, fire pit , etc are worth seeing for sure."

  • "I am a big fan of Jean-Georges, but this restaurant definitely did not live up to my expectations. I ordered the salmon, and it was perfectly cooked. However, it was on top of cold mashed potatoes and itself was not warm. They tried again, and the second time everything was warm, yet the fish was chewy and dry--inedible. My boyfriend ordered a rare steak, and it came out medium-well. The cut was not good, so he didn't make a second attempt. The wine and service were good."

  • "Very nice ambientation, wonderful place, but too manny kids and it seems to be a family hotel, that's good but parents must take care of kids, nice service, noisy, expensive but very nice that the restaurant it's open for not guests of the hotel."

  • "My wife took me here for my birthday and we had a superb time. We had the lamb and sea bass and both were very wonderful. The service from both Kyle and Summer was outstanding. Being the special setting it is you will be paying for the senic views and special treatment you receive but it is worth it for the special occasions. I want to go back in the summer to eat outside!"

  • "Food for park city was only average quality. Would go to many other places before going back."

  • "We ate her twice for dinner during our trip -- both times at the Kitchen Counter. That appears to be where they put guests lacking reservations, but we requested it in our reservation and would recommend it to others. The chef cooked tasting menus for us -- not the one on the menu, but what he felt like. This was the way to go. This is the best food in Park City, we believe, and the service and special attention was fabulous. One in our party had a dairy and soy allergy, and this was enthusiastically accomdated. Highly recommended!"

  • "Not sure how a family resort has a restaurant that makes it clear that kids are not welcome. The manager practically asked us to leave. Our children were very well behaved, esp for ages 4-10. It was quite upsetting to have just spent $1,200 and to be treated this way. We would not return. Our wait staff was unbelievable and thought our kids were just great. To then be addressed by the manager was unbelievable. With all the great places around DV, no need to stop here. Apparently the Montage has a much more kid-friendly staff w/ a bowling alley and game room."

  • "This was our first dining experience at J&G - which came highly recommended by locals. The bar was set high given the many reviews and J&G did not disappoint. The atmosphere was perfect, our server was a gem and the food was fantastic. The chef's point of view was explained with each course - local ingredients, preparation style to preserve the nutrients and benefits of the food, etc. The wine list was phenomenal - with quality options for every price range. Our server - Brandon - did an outstanding job helping guide us to new wine selections based on known likes. Expensive - but worth it. This was hands down one of the best dining experiences our party of 6 has ever had. Well done J&G.... well done!"

  • "Wonderful location, food, and service. The hotel, St. Regis, where the restaurant is located, sits atop a hill, and one must take the funicular up to the hotel from the road. Quite cool! The food was gourmet and delicious. The mushroom pizza for an appetizer was outstanding. The short ribs were tasty as were other entrees my dining partners ordered. Service was good, but not quite the five-star level. For example, after dinner coffee cups were filled at the table, but spilled over to the saucer. When all four cups were filled, the server left the carafe on the table as if there was more coffee left in the carafe. When one of us was ready to have the second cup, we realized the carafe was empty! Nevertheless, highly recommended."

  • "for $750 I would of expected better service....our waiter disappeared for 30 minutes after our meal was served. over priced compared to other restaurants in park city"

  • "The service and ambience was excellent. My husband enjoyed his chili glazed pork chop & I enjoyed my beet salad. However, I was disappointed in my vegetarian pasta. I asked the waitress my options and it was a vege plate or the pasta. I chose the pasta, but what I got was a plate of penne with a few routine veges thrown on, such as carrots and stems of broccoli rabe. Considering the reputation and the prices, this was very disappointing & the kitchen should not be proud of serving this dish. I regretted not speaking up when I was there, so decided to write a review in case there are other vegetarians who dine here. There were many side dish veges that could have been used, so no excuse. If you're not vegetarian, will probably enjoy."
