"Though this is primarily a steaks restaurant, the rex sole is our favorite dish, as good as we have experienced anywhere. One of our party had the barbecue ribs and thought they had had much better and would not order it again. We have found the steaks to be excellent in the past though the prices have gone up on these a significant amount. Service by our waitress, Bonnie, was just perfection!"

"Always wanted to try it since we pass by it every time we get off the 101 to get to our house. And now we know and don't particularly need to go back. Food was just ok (ribs and prime rib) although I really enjoyed the company. There are many places with better food though, so although we didn't hate it, there's just not enough time to go back to somewhere with just ok food. Of course comparing the prime rib to Lawry's is probably unfair, but that's our standard for prime rib now. As far as the ribs go, the meet didn't have much flavor and it was smothered with a sauce that was too sweet and salty. Would have liked to have less sauce and more flavor on the meat. Sides were just ok too. Typical steak place where everything is dark, but cute"

"Very nice meal for this "repeat offender" (customer), with 2 minor problems: (1) Drink orders came rather late (at least 10 min.) and we were never asked for/given water; (2) One of us had skirt steak ordered med.-rare, and it was med.-well. The waiter kindly replaced it fairly quickly, however. All in all, a nice experience."

"Their prime rib is hands down the best (next to House of Prime Rib) and their au jus...omg this is the real deal, not a quick mix brown powder with water concoction. Really good dinner, just think it's a bit lame to nickel and dime for the added bacon and cheese for the baked potato, but whatever, it's only a $1.50 extra for both, and the cheese is freshly grated and the bacon is real. So in essence, no complaints. This is our go-to chop house in the Peninsula. Plus, you get to take a fresh apple from their giant apple bowl!"
