IVYMom's lunch on the patioThere were 10 of us and we sat on the patio for a beautiful lunch. I've been here several times, food and service is always excellent. I had the Ahi Tuna salad and it was EXCELLENT with slices of ginger and not too much dressing. I had lunch with 6 ladies, all of our food was great, great service and the outside dining was perfect. The selections on the menu vary from season to season, but always include something special along with traditional items. The food is always well-prepared and delicious. The building is beautiful inside and includes spaces for private events. The outside patio is lovely and relaxing, and often features musicians. Dick and Carol are friendly and welcoming - we are always treated like a special guest, and the service is excellent. They are very accomodating and have amazing lunch sandwiches as well as entrees. Everything was very nice. We all enjoyed our meals and the carpaccio appetizer which all 4 of us shared. The food is tasty and attractively presented. The portions are not outrageous, but even so, I had to bring half my dinner home. You can feel free to recommend the Ivy in Wheaton, IL as a wonderful dining experience. For a party of 4, and with liberal cocktails and an appetizer for the table, our bill was very reasonable, per diner. AND, my request for a comfortable corner booth to accommodate my 90-year old dad's frail (formerly broken) back was honored AND they set the table so beautifully for his wedding anniversary, right down to the "happy anniversary" table cloth. It was a wonderful experience. Three of us had the lamb chop lunch entree and the price amazed them. All said they want to come back and one of them is considering having a family graduation celebration in the patio room. Even though the restaurant was nearly full, we were able to converse at a normal volume. That isn't possible in many places.
