Ivy at the GlennIvy on Mother's DayWe were seated immediately. The soft chairs seat you too low for the table making it very uncomfortable for dining. Although with booster cushions you are seated at the right height for the table, it makes it hard to sit down without sliding the cushion(s) out from under you. Highly recommend replacing the chairs. Our waiter was exceptional as were the host staff. So many choices on the buffet made it hard to decide what to have - a nice problem to have since the food was excellent. Maybe a little on the pricy side until you see what is on the buffet. This was our second time to Ivy at the Glenn. Now we have to try dinner. We will be back, and will recommend Ivy to friends and family. GREAT service!! Then, the food was ridiculously phenomenal, along with the extremely reasonable prices!
Not only did he make it fun for us, but my wife's mother and our grandson were also delighted by the attention to each person's needs. To top it off, the owner came out introduced himself, spent some time at the table and even outdid Scott's "sprinkles on the ice cream cone for our grandson, by giving him a little plate so he could keep dipping his cone into sprinkles. Now that was one happy little guy!

We were sat at a table that I felt was too close to the next table, but they were paying as we sat, so it was either well timed or a great coincidence. Their wine list is interactive as they use an iPad so you can read about the wines, see points, etc... It was a neat concept, but made a usually easy decision a little distracting, they do have a nice selection, though. The food and service were excellent. I dined on a spring rack of lamb dish while my husband had the petite sirloin. Both were equally delicious. The wait staff was as pleasant as they were unintrusive. The ambiance was nice with the right amount of noise, not too loud, but not whisper quiet. Brunch buffets are tough for even the best restaurants, and Ivy really delivered. The seafood offerings really made the modest price a great value. The owner and staff were extremely attentive. SEasonal menu with seasonal specials gives a great variety and keeps the selection "new". The ambiance is great for conversation, celebration or romance! The fireplace adds the element of coziness and there is outdoor dining available when weather permits! All of our meals were perfectly cooked. We loved the tree stump wall and tables! This time it seemed as though the service was off just a bit, we had to ask for the bread for our table, which others had received already.
