We ate here as part of the modified american plan at the Breakers. The food is quite good, but pricey if you have to pay out of pocket on your own. The house salad is one of the best salads I have ever had, and my wife greatly enjoyed the gorgonzola pear salad. Shrimp scampi was tasty, the veal saltimbocca also very good, but the sauce a bit heavier than I expected. Also the veal was very pricey. Dessets were excellent as is the usual at the Breakers. Overall a very nice dining experience.

Hidden gem. Many people think the restaurant is exclusive or only something to be enjoyed if you are patronizing The Breakers hotel. As it turns out, you don't need to break the bank to have some of the best Italian food around. Everything was excellent from bread and wine to dessert. That and you're already at one of the best locations to walk off your food coma.

In all the years we've gone to The Breakers, we've never ventured into the Italian Restaurant until recently. We now know why....we didn't realize this was a restaurant that catered to families with kids. Lots of kids running around, running back and forth from playroom to tables and yelling. That being said, the food was very good, as was our service. If you are traveling or dining out with children, this is a good place for you to go. If you're looking for a quiet romantic night out, try one of their sister restaurants, like Echo or Top Of The Point.

The food was very salty. I ordered the Osso Bucco and what I got was a plate full of pasta with a few small pieces of meat. I have never been served Osso Bucco off the bone. The service was slow and the noise level was high with many children running around. Staying at the Breakers, We also had the pleasure of eating at the Flagler Steak House. This experience was wonderful. The food, service and ambience were all top notch.

This Italian Restaurant was on the Breakers grounds. Very beautiful scenic walk to get there. Once inside, it there were kids everywhere, not to mention the indoor playground as soon as you walk in on the right. The pictures on line were of a rustic Italian bistro, but the children out numbered the adults and for a Saturday night, the four of us were less than pleased with the ambiance. The service was fair, the food ok, but unless I bring my grandchildren, they won't see us any time soon.

The Italian Restaurant is one of the casual dining opportunities at The Breakers Hotel. There is a children's play area right off of the dining room and another area with a large fish tank and a small movie theatre with a big screen TV and rows of folding chairs. There's also a smaller, quieter area in the bar/lounge nearby. We went for "Flavor of the Palm Beaches" which offered a three course meal for $35.00. Everything was extraordinary and my Osso Bucco was to die for. The valet (which was free with a validation from the waiter)informed us that all of the herbs used in the food are grown on the premises. They did add the gratuity without telling us and we almost paid a double tip.

The Service at the Italian Restaurant was the best we had all weekend! Our server Michael was energetic, engaged, and attentive, while the food is the best Italian food palm beach has to offer. I would recommend the Italinan Restaurant to families looking for a 5 star meal in an amazing, fun atmosphere!

I was not aware that this restaurant is geared for family dining because I didn't scroll down to read all of the reviews! It is adjacent to a children's activity room. When we arrived, families with children were in the majority. They were well behaved, but children just seem to increase the noise and energy in a room. That being said, it may not be the ideal choice if you are planning an intimate dinner for two or a quiet dinner with friends, unless seating is available in bar area. Gracious reception from hostess. Lovely service - professional, but friendly. The three Course Flavor Palm Beach menu offers creative choices and is an excellent value, but be aware that adding wine and beverages will significantly increase the bill.

The food and service were outstanding. We ordered from the standard menu as well as the specials (lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, Italian "shrimp and grits") and the children's menus (homemade/organic Mac and cheese, fish and veggies). All were excellent. The servers brought fruit out while we were ordering (with out permission) to keep the kids engaged. The toy and activities rooms off the main dining room are discreet but very useful and were enjoyed by our toddler.

Absolutely delicious! We were seated immediately, and our server was very attentive! Suggested a great drink and brought it out promptly. The food was amazing. Expensive, but worth it for a special occasion. The restaurant is connected to a children's play area, so I can imagine an early dinner may have a lot of little ones. For a romantic evening, I suggest going later! I'd absolutely visit again!

  • This is the only "family"
    OpenTable Diner Since 2012
    Dined on 7/28/2012
This is the only "family" restaurant on site and management appears to realize it. The kid friendly amenities are nice, but there is a cynical vibe that is off-putting. The wine list is a bit obscure; thus, patrons will have a hard time realizing that the prices are bottle-shocking. The basic pasta dishes are fine and would be considered very good at $15-$20. Not so much at closer to $30. For value, best to go off campus.

Although the decor is pleasant, the restaurant is right in the middle of the Breaker's childrens center. Consequently the running, notice from. Ideo games and such rather ruined the evening. The food was average at best. The eggplant parmigiana was obviously frozen and reheated, and the snapper was quite fishy tasting, indicating it was also frozen. The staff were rather harried and not attentive. The staff was not at all trained to work in this level of resort. Very unpolished.

While the food was great, the service was lacking. We were greeted promptly and seated, the place was not even half full. During the course of the meal, had to ask for water refills, wrong entree was delivered and desert menu wasn't offered to half the party. Imagine my surprise to see an automatic 20% gratuity on a party of 5. Perhaps that explains the attention to detail. Not what we expected from The Breakers.

We had a great dinner. The service was fantastic. The food came promptly and was very good. We were able to eat outside, although they don't have many outside tables. Our kids (15 yrs old) had fun because they could go to the nearby arcade after ordering. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommended, especially if you have kids who like Italian food.

Loved, loved, loved eating at this restaurant. The food was outstanding (and I have spent a ton of time visiting and living in Italy so I think I'm a fair critic). I did bring my 1 1/2 year old with me. She loved her food (a rarity!) and by the time she was antsy they brought her a hot fudge sundae and she was in heaven. She loved taking breaks in the playroom, which I thought was well far enough away from the restaurant to not bother or annoy patrons dining w/o kids. We strolled through the Breakers hotel afterward and loved every minute of our visit. Service was top notch and so friendly. I had the veal saltimbocca and I'm still thinking about how delicious it was! I would definitely go back here on my next visit to Palm Beach.

I had a wonderful time and received great service Friday night. I had hosted eight friends/business associates to dinner last Friday night between 7:30 and 9:30-although I left at 10:30 PM. The nine of us had a great time, with great food and great service. We were seated in the semi-private room in the rear of the restaurant and were well –taken care of by one of your best waiters and your entire wait staff. While we had feared that “the family-oriented restaurant at The Breakers would not be appropriate for a business dinner, the semi-private room and your service and attention was great.

An amazing property, The Breakers Palm Beach, is home to this restaurant . We went expecting a casual "fine" dining experience but found a very family oriented casual restaurant with the little ones running about. The food was good- the service outstanding. Great spot if your bringing the troops for pasta/pizza. Not so great for adults expecting a "breakers experience". Thanks to Reagen at the bar for saving the night

Hi I was surprised that the food was not so special. The calamari with tomatoe appetizer was very good. I had Talapia and I thought the presentation was poor. I also thought the deserts were poor. My daughter had a 40th birthday and they brought 3 pieces of desert. I thought they were terrible. I had some berries with sauce and the blueberries were old and the sauce was not good. The waiter Daniel was wonderful and We all enjoyed the atmosphere but I would never tell anyone that the food was good. Shame on the Breaker's. They could really do a much better job. I planned on reporting this information to the Events Manager. I am not a chef but a good cook and for sure my food looks better and taste much better than anything in the Italian Re
