Very approachable. He didn't talk much or try to engage us in any conversation, it's not a big issue
Or a problem but it made it a bit awkward at times because he didn't talk or smile. My friends actually tried to engage in a conversation
With him so it wouldn't be so awakard but he didn't respond.9/4/2013 12:00:00 AMYou can't go wrong with panchetta!I'd recommend the fusili lunghi. It's fusili in oregano cream and panchetta. The fusili was firm, so if you like softer noodles, request to have them cooked longer. My friend raved about the Ochi from lupo, but I didn't find it that satisfying despite of t lamb and sausage. My other friend didn't like her margherita pizza. I didn't like it either. The ingredients were fresh, but it was bland. Italian Kitchen did call me for feedback and they are taking care of the pizza the next time I'm in there.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat new experience.First time coming to this restaurant,, which just happened to be on a holiday. The atmosphere was pleasant and servers were very friendly. The menus had good variety and the large wine menu definitely caught my attention. We had appetizers, pastas, wine, and dessert. The food was very good, but the dessert at the end was definitely the best part of the night. We had the pasta platter, a good way to try 4 different types of pasta. Daniel was our waiter that evening, and he was very accommodating to our requests. We will definitely eat at Italian Kitchen when we visit Vancouver again, and try the rest of Glowbal's restaurants.
We have to mention something about the noise level - it was energetic, but one table (actually, it was one man) made it very unpleasant by talking (more like shouting) very loudly. We could see other patrons were not pleased either.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI have sampled several ofI have sampled several of the Italian Kitchen's pasta dishes over the past few years and all have been excellent. My favourite is still the spaghetti with their signature meatballs. The staff are upbeat, friendly and courteous. At lunch time, if you are in a hurry, they can get you in and out in less than an hour even if you don't order the items which they promise a 45 minute turn around time for. That said, if you have time, savour the food and pair it with a glass (or two) of wine from their many selections.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMYummiest Pasta!Went for a pre-show dinner here and ordered the pasta platter for the 3 of us. We only managed to eat half of the platter, but all the pasta was really good, especially the pesto gnocchi & linguine gamberi! And the meatballs were awesome! We got to chatting a bit and unfortunately learned that the meatballs are best eaten when hot! The only thing that prevented a full 5 stars was the spacing around our table was a bit squishy and we are by no means large people! Really took awya from n otherwise great evening. I would have thought that the waiter might ask them to quiet down a bit but that didnt happen.
