  • "From the first bite, every thing that was ordered was absolutely delicious. We couldn't get over how great the service and the food was. The only downside was that it was difficult to hear our conversation. It could be because our dinner for two was right beside a table for 8."

  • "In hindsight I probably should have read reviews before coming here on a first date, and my birthday. The food was EXCELLENT, but the place was SO loud; I couldn't hear the person across from me. I could easily place my hands on the shoulders of guests at the tables on either side of me. The waitress was very nice and easy going, but I sort of expected a more professional attitude. Referring to a bottle of wine as "Like, Redic" caught me off guard. Seemed better suited for the bar area. The company I was with felt awkward being there, so we made the most of it and got dessert and coffee somewhere a little more intimate. As for dress code, as mentioned on the door: People beside me were in lulu's and a hoodie, so dont worry about that."

  • "I enjoyed this restaurant except for two things. One, it is very noisy. Two, when we arrived, the hostess put us upstairs at the table that is at the end of the server's station/bar. It is up against a wall and there is barely enough room for people to walk by when you are seated here. We requested another table. We got another table but were told we had to be gone by 830pm as another large party was coming. While we were eating, I noticed another group of four were seated at the table we did not want. The look on their faces said it all: the table is poorly located, inappropriate and uncomfortable. Restaurant is simply trying to squeeze in 4 more diners at the expense of the patrons dining experience. This table should be removed"

  • "I've been twice now. First time waited an hour to be seated despite making a reservation. Was told we had the best server in the place. Unfortunately he was apathetic. This time the server was very kind to my Mom who was seated beneath a cold air return on a cold rainy day. He gave her a blanket. Otherwise not so good. Had to ask for coffee refill. Waited almost 5 min for fresh ground pepper. My eggs Benny were good although would have liked them to ask how I like my eggs poached. Runny eggs aren't my preference. The salad was swimming in dressing. Yuck! You get the idea. My Mom did like her meal hence the 'good' rating. Have to say this is my least favourite of the Glowball Group. Better to go to Black & Blue or Coast"

  • "I had been warned by several people that the seating was very crowded in this restaurant and noisy and now I would agree.You actually would have to turn sideways along the two tables to get in behind it to sit. We were taken upstairs only to find the decor very dated and not at all the same atmosphere as downstairs and the noise level was to the point where I almost had to shout at the person across the table from me with the restaurant only being half full. Service was poor. The food was very good after we had to ask for bread, pepper and cheese."

  • "Came here for a birthday celebration, the server was forgetful. Ordered bread to start which never came. The visa machine was not working and I had to try 3 more times for it to work, with the girl implying that I had no credit on my card. Saw a chef using his phone while working (very unprofessional) then did not proceed to wash his hands. Food was alright, out of the 3 dishes that came only one was delicious. Would not come back again."

  • "The restaurant came highly recommended, I booked almost a month in advance to secure a table. We were didappointed to find ourselves seated in an aisleway upstairs beside the bar where every server had to lift trays over our heads in order to get buy. The starters were adequate but the mains completely devoid of any flavour - between the four of us we each had a different pasts entree. Mine, the gnocchi, was hard to swallow - literally. It was so clumpy it stuck to the roof of my mouth - horrible stuff. My guests all only ate part of their meals and at the end all said the tastes left much to be desitred. I could have made a better dinner at home with a boxed pasta and sauce - very disappointing !! The staff were nice tho'."

  • "The Italian Kitchen is great! It's very inviting and the staff is quick to notice you. The atmosphere is fun and exciting. The food is wonderful! We had the veal piccata and it was perfect. I really appreciate when your food comes on a hot plate, you know it hasn't been sitting on the chefs counter. Our server recommended a lovely wine to compliment our meal. We are definitely going back!"

  • "Overall, Italian Kitchen is wonderful. I made reso 1 month ago, although our whole party arrived 10-15 mins late, they did the courtesy to hold our table for us (we had 1-2 ppl there first, but we had a 6 person table). The food was wonderful, as always, service was great, they even made a "happy birthday" sign for the tiramisu we ordered. The only down side is, this is almost the only Italian restaurant that holds large party and the whole venue was really loud. We had to yell at each other to hear (but hey, it was Friday night). Other than that, everything was fantastic!"

Secondly, can't remember the taste of main course, it was not bad but not special too. I loved the terimisu cake!   • "I went with my family for dinner, and we had an absolutely amazing time! Our server Kent was a delight - he was great at anticipating our needs, and he has a great sense of humour! My Dad can be hard to please, but he raved about the entire experience - which says a lot! I had the truffle spaghetti and meatballs which was delicious, as were the leftovers :) I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion from girls night to date night to family night!"

The dessert with mini round chocolate filled powdered donuts which came with sweet cream to dip were excellent as well! Although prices were a bit steep, the food quality makes up for it. After 7pm on a weeknight this restaurant feels more like a bar/lounge than a quiet place to enjoy a romantic or peaceful meal. The ambieance is loud, crowded and hectic. If you're intersted in trendy, busy "it"place to be, then this is the restaurant for you. If you're looking for anything other than that, then keep looking."

  • "Went there during dine out. Surprisingly noisy but not too too bad. The staff were nice and friendly, the restaurant has an open kitchen but you will not smell anything from there. Open kitchen was pretty cool. I had lobster ravioli, the portion was pretty small. However it was really delicious. The dessert was excellent, I love the dessert. Also noticed they have $11 beer & burger (and fries) special every Friday lunch, that is an awesome deal. This is one of the most popular restaurant in downtown Vancouver, I highly recommend to anyone"

I have been to this restaurant many times and this recent experience makes me wonder if I would go again because there are so many other choices."

  • "First time for brunch. Best classic Eggs Benedict, and all five of us were very happy with the food. Had a piece of Breakfast pizza the next day, still delicious! Good service, and good food. Cannot stand the noise level at night, but will definitely return for brunch."
