Diner Reviews
  • "Never a bad meal here. By far the best Italian restaurant in South Jersey"

  • "Ordered the special for the evening, sirloin tips. I usually think of tips of at least 1 inch pieces, these were more like scraps cut off of the end with gristle. On two occassions I was asked how we enjoyed our meal and my comment was it was "OK". The server responded he was sorry and left it at that. The host at the desk was quite satisfied with the response. Not sure we will return. On a positive note, the bottle of wine on special was good."

  • "Really enjoyed dining at Italian Affair. Nice place and bar. Outdoor seating looked great. Pork Chop with meat sauce and hots was excellent as were all the appetizers."

  • "I've lived in Glassboro for a while, and finally tried Italian Affair for Valentine's Day with my wife. They went the extra mile to make it special. The service was excellent, the food was amazing (I had the Chilean sea bass, which melted in my mouth), and the ambiance was romantic. Overall, we really enjoyed our time, and will definitely be back."

  • "My wife's dinner was very good. I ordered Filet and it was very tough. Could barely cut it with the knife. I did not finish it"

  • "While on business in Gloucester NJ we decided to go to this restaurant. The menu was very diverse and provided my colleague and I the chance to try a variety of selections. I tried the Salmon and Argula Salad. It was excellent and the potion size more than adequate. I also had a side of Asparagus and while I wished it would have been served grilled the olive oil and garlic was a nice change. My guest enjoyed the Stuffed Eggplant which she found to be very tasty."

  • "First time dining here and all I can say is that I wish I had tried them sooner. Flatbread on specials menu for appetizer was excellent. My wife had a scallop, shrimp and crabmeat pasta dish that was done perfectly and loaded with crab and had large scallops. But my veal dish (veal paisano) was extraordinary. It may have been the most tender, best piece of veal I've had anywhere, Will definitely return."

  • "Was disappointed that there was no Italian rum cake. It was 7:30 pm and they said they already ran out of cake."

  • "This restuarant gives you your moneys worth in food. The food was hot and the time to wait was not bad. I come back every year at the same time for the great food."

  • "My wife and I have been coming to Italian Affair off and on for years. At least ever since opened in Glassboro. Was a very regular and FAVORITE place of ours to go. Then we fell on some hard times. So going as often wasn't in the budjet. But still managed to go for special occasions at the very least. Lovely, pleasant servers. Fresh tasting mouth watering foods. Outstanding service. Very accommodating should you want to deviate from menu just a little."

  • "Nice local Italian restaurant, with consistently good food. The little (sourdough?) rolls which are served piping hot from the oven are delish! My husband had the lobster ravioli which was very good, and I had the veal special which was also very good. Prices are very reasonable. My only complaint was that it was very cold in the dining room, and we asked for the heat to be raised, several times. I (and diners at other tables) had their coats on - not a comfortable way to dine."

  • "I had the Healthy entree #1 - salmon and asparagus with wheat penne in a light rosa sauce. It was delicious. Great service and loved the live music."

  • "Had a great time on Saturday for a birthday dinner for my manfriend, The food is great and the service was great, our waitress Morgan was very pleasant. The only thing that could be improved is your wine list for Pinot Grigio. The cheaper wines was good but there was more of a selection in the past. Overall, the dining experience was great and remains my favorite place to dine. Thank You Anne M KIng"

  • "I'd been here for a catered affair and it was wonderful but wanted to try the whole menu. What a fantastic choice that was! We had the Chicken Boscaiola and Veal Parm with meat ravioli. The flavors were wonderful and the portions clearly large enough to bring home for a second meal. I wanted to try a specific liqueur that I'd never had. Our waitress brought that and recommended another one that she was specifically familiar with as she thought I might like it more. (Vecchio Amaro del Capo...and I liked it better too!) A very lovely place and I clearly recommend it!"

  • "Based on great Open Table reviews, we gave it a try on New Years Eve. Menu was extensive. Portions plentiful. But the food was a bit off. I had the Fruit due Peace. The lobster was unevenly cooked. The mussels were clunky. The light .marinara had the consistency of tomato soup. She had the Chicken Saltimbkca, which had a mysterious and over powering seasoning. The waiter was overly attentive. There are better options in the area in the same price range."

  • "Love love love this restaurant, Excellent Service. Our waiter Jake is the best. Very attentive and always happy. Great service. Portions are big. The pasta is homemade on premises. We always bring home leftovers. Our favorite is the Pollo Capri, the Pumpkin Raviolis and the French Cut Stuff Pork Chop. You can't go wrong with any item on the menu. Been coming for about ten years. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves pasta. I have been to many Italian restaurants in the Big Cities and this by far is the best!!!!"

  • "As a first time diner at IAR we were impressed with the overall ambience. But what really was delightfully surprising was the food. My wife's Filet was perfectly done (medium well). I had the Veal Parm and it too was beautifully done."

  • "This is one of our special, favorite restaurants. We were celebrating my birthday. My husband had the stuffed pork chop-stuffed with prosciutto and provolone, served with paperadelle pasta with a cream mushroom sauce; absolutely delicious. I had shrimp with lump crabmeat over paperadelle pasta; again delicious. Run, don't walk for a delicious meal."

  • "We chose this restaurant as it was close to TD bank center. Neither my gps in the car or my phone could find its location, but we knew the road so we took a chance. It was well worth it. The service was pleasant, knowledgeable and timely. Our waiter Nataly gave reccomendations on menu items other than the specials and was very nice and he managed to anticipate our needs. The wine list was very broad and contained many good selections both by bottle and glass. Our meal was served quickly and in large portions. We started with the lamb chops which were accompanied by long hots, which added a nice spice and kick to the very light an tasty lamb. Our entrees of penne arrabiata and penne ala vodka were absolutely delicious."

  • "We went to Italian Affair to take our son out to dinner before his concert at Rowan University. We were pleasantly surprise at this very nice Italian restaurant in a shopping center right down the street from the school. The menu had everything, even a healthy section with whole wheat pasta and a small portions section just right for my 89 year old mother. The service was great also. They have a large enclosed outdoor patio - I can't wait to go back in the spring to sit outside. We sure will go back again and not wait for the spring."
