I read some reviews prior to making a reservation that stated service was not very good. Well, I will tell you, service was excellent in every respect. Our waiter was attentive and there when you needed something. He knew the menu well and made some great recommendations. Food was very, very good. Wine list is mostly Italian. Would have preferred a few more options, but hey, it's an Italian restaurant! The tables are close to one another, so if you are looking for an intimate dining experience, this may not be your place. But, we found it fun, and actually it was nice to strike up conversations with dinners sitting next to us. Highly recommend.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMBest dining experience in SoHoNot only the food is really good but the interiors are so wonderful and comfortable that the place makes you feel as if you we're dining in your own gorgeous terrace. You will not want to leave! Or course, I am bias since I designed the place but the fact is that they keep it up and enhance it every so often making it fresh and updated with new "touches" every so often.
Plus an added bonus is that every time I go, there are local and/or international celebrities enjoying the beautiful space and food. Maya Lin was having lunch when I was there this time!

It looks like you are inside a greenhouse so you almost feel like you are outside and the decor is beautiful. If you go in through Crosby street, there is a great outdoor area. The food was very good. All the crudos are delicious as well as the fish. Its set in one giant greenhouse type room with lots of greenery and beautiful chandeliers. We started with raspberry, white peach bellinis at the bar which were made with fresh fruit and were absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a lot of meat and fish enters, this is not the place for you. However, there is a really nice selection of pizza and pasta. The service, from our waitress to the bus boys and the person who filled our water glasses, was very attentive and friendly - pretty amazing. The food was also excellent. High marks to our plate of cheese, nuts, and meats antipasta; the beets salad; cod cheeks; tuna crudo; and the veal raviolis. The entrees of steak and chicken were very good, although we all preferred the shared appetizers more.
I had read the reviews about the poor service and the loud music, but my party did not experience any of that. Cauliflower Agnolotti with truffle butter, mushrooms and parmesan. Yum. The waitress made a great wine recco as well. I was expecting the scene to be intimidating, even on a Tuesday night, but I guess because it was a Tuesday, it actually felt very relaxed and chill. Nice to have a surprisingly low-key moment at this hot spot. There were no shortage of celebs, though, we saw Emma Watson and Jonah Hill (who must have been staying at the Mondrian since they just walked through the restaurant together) and Ashley Tisdale, who was having a drink at the bar.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was very good.Everything was very good. That said, the food is not to be believed: really authentic Italian cuisine. The service people were very helpful and professional, something that is hard to find today.
