The seating a bit uncomfortable, and seating a bit comfortable but great since you can bring your own wine. The menu pretty stable with a few specials. During the day it serves up tasty coffee, breakfasts, and lunches. It also has a nice selection of smoothies. At 5:00, the restaurant switches over to a bistro - the prices rise, the dishes are more ambitious, and musical entertainment arrives outside.
We went for dinner...which was OK...but I wish I could recommend it more highly. All the pieces of a truly marvelous experience are there...they just don't quite know how to put it together. I think my wife's experience sums up the restaurant quite nicely. She ordered the fish special and it came out of the kitchen ridiculously overcooked. Homemade island ice cream was great too! Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We ate here for breakfast and dinner during our week stay on Kona. A little for everyone on the menu, food was well prepared, very tasty, large portions. Service was very good, waitress knew menu well, explained dishes we needed help with, made recommendations. Outdoor seating, a local musician providing island oriented music, and view to the ocean along with the food and the service make this a not to be missed place to eat while in Kona.
