We were an hour early for our reservation and everyone was so accommodating and were able to seat us right away. Everything we had was wonderful with the exception of the oysters which seemed a little mushy. Service was very good, but downgraded one level as the kitchen seemed to have a hard time coping with the volume. Both the table next to us and we had to remind the server about missing second courses which consequently impacted the timing of the third course. The salmon carpaccio was excellent. Dessert wines are scant in choices, but the rest of the list complemented the food very nicely. I went with friends and we really enjoyed ourselves. The waiter was attentive and answered all our questions. Each person ordered 4 dishes which made it about 12 dishes for us. We got to share the main courses which were delicious. Definitely did not skimp on portions for this promotion. The duck and streak were the highlight, but the scallops and mussels are good also. For some unknown reason, we have not been here for a few years. It is so nice to find it just as good as ever. The Dine About Town special was of a great value, everything the four of us ordered was excellent and the service was tops. The "outdoor" seating is actually a completely covered patio, but it's nice. The heaters are too close to the tables and kind of infringe and make service awkward. We felt a little rushed at the end of the meal...kind of "here's your check - get the heck out so we can seat the next party." The food was remarkable; beautifully presented, fresh, seasoned perfectly. Our waiter was very attentive but not intrusive. He made sure we had a great dining experience. All of the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The service was quick, but we never felt hurried. They have a happy hour special for $5 wine and that's a really good. Our server recommended the Chardonnay to go with the see bass and that was a really good choice. They also have a 3-course $29 set menu offer from Monday to Wednesday. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, I had the sea bass and my coworker had the halibut, both are really really good. Location en route to the Golden Gate Bridge was perfect to allow us to avoid the rush hour, holiday weekend traffic, and still get up to Marin at a reasonable hour. The waiter was amazing and recommended items that were restaurant favorites without us even having to ask. The menu lists that they have small plates and entrees. We were a little nervous at first because of the pricing but in the end we all shared a few of the small plates as appetizers (which one plate was shareable by 4 people) and then each ordered an entree and the amount of food was perfect. The wine was amazing. The seabass was deliciously cooked... very moist and tender; the flat iron steak was great; the chicken was outstanding; the risotto rich and yummy . We had four pre fixe meals and a single entree (the seabass, which was not offered as a pre fixe). The pre fixe included an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert (very limited choices). We had the mussels, the goat cheese (a favorite with us), the calamari, and the salmon carpaccio as our appetizers; all were wonderful. Two of us had ordered the flat iron steak for our entrees, but the waiter forgot to bring one of them, so we canceled that pre fixe and just paid for the appetizer. Great food! Since it is completely enclosed, there is no alfresco feel to it whatsoever so we moved to the small front dining area. All my hesitation evaporated after the first course. The dungeness crab salad was lightly dressed and delicious. The grilled shrimp were tasty and sweet. Seared scallops with orzo, great too. The restaurant has a funny policy of serving food as it's ready, which means that your first course may not arrive at the same time as your companion's first course. This meal was different, and something was wrong. Staff had a hard time seating everyone when they arrived, was very late to getting drink orders and delivering, had little of substance to say about various offerings. Half-way through the delicious steamed mussels the entrees arrived. I had to hold my mussels so they would not be taken away. Desserts arrived early, before we were finished. Based on this experience we would rethink our choice. This restaurantAmazing food. This restaurant is family style. Order multiple plates and share with your friends. It's a great restaurant and the food is truly top notch and worth it. On the night we were there they only had 2 waiters for the whole restaurant because they send someone home and so the service was incredibly slow. Saw the waitress maybe 2 times the whole time. Once the crowd died down we did see her a bit more frequently but we were finished with our meal by then.

And the food was really incredible. Everyone ordered from the tasting menu and we shared everything, so got lots of tastes. We agreed that the spaghetti with truffles, tomatoes and olives was perfectly prepared and delicious. The halibut was excellent, as were the flat iron steak and the chicken. We were less enthusiastic about the squid - the sweetness just didnt work - and the mussels, which is a tough dish to share. Since the restaurant bills itself as family style, I think a better way to share that dish needs to be found.

We had a LOVELY time, even though the patio was a bit noisy. We had the prix fixe menu and loved all of our selections. (We also thought it was a great price for all of the food that we received!) I have several food allergies and they were able to make special accommodations to ensure that I had a healthy yet delicious meal.
