Service was well timed. The food
is consistent. Not had a bad meal here."

This restaurant is exceptionally
wonderful with a diverse menu for foodies. The complex combination of spices and presentation is comparable to a NYC five star restaurant. This place is a gem with great service and suggestions from your waiter to try something new and not be disappointed. The restaurant manager constantly walks around and oversees everything. This is a very good and well run establishment and nothing goes unseen."

The food is great, here. The menu
is never the same because they have unusual and delicious specials. Never a bad meal, here and the wait staff is cordial and professional! "

This is the third time I've been
to this restaurant where the food was not very good. My boyfriend ordered the seafood casserole and the scallops were not fresh. They had a bitter taste. Food that isn't fresh, especially seafood is unacceptable. I keep coming back because I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, but the food just isn't up to par. My advice is hire a new chef."
Dined on 3/17/2014
Loud too long for service didn't
get what I ordered need I say more. I don't mind paying for good food and drinks. This was horrible experience"
Dined on 3/15/2014
Another enjoyable meal. The
service and food continue to be very good. The seafood casserole was expertly cooked, with just the right amount of butter for flavor and moisture. The meatloaf was a rather large slice, the mash potatoes were perfect. The seasonal vegetables, carrots and string beans, were good but the string beans could have been cooked slightly longer. For starters the Asian Calamari was properly seasoned and a good variation from the usual RI style. The Chicken Asian Wraps had the perfect amount of Asian species. To finish off the meal we shared the Raspberry and Mango Sorbet, a perfect ending to a great meal."
Dined on 3/12/2014
always great food and service and
close to airport calamari is great ... coworker will now only eat RI style from here on out"
Dined on 3/4/2014
Soon after we sat down our waiter
greeted us and knew we were both gluten-free. We were so happy that someone paid attention to our comments on Open Table! There were many good choices and a separate menu for those on a gluten -free diet. We both ordered seafood dishes and for my seafood casserole they left off the cracker crumbs and substituted other vegetables. It was absolutele delicious! My husband and I both agreed that it is a restaurant we will both come back to!"

Even though Iron Works is located
in the property for a neighboring hotel, the food's prices are fairly reasonable and the food quality is very good. There is everything from casual sandwiches to seafood to steaks on the menu. The atmosphere is like a brewery inside, with it's brick and copper. I'd say it's more adult in atmosphere though they'd welcome families/children. They have a nice assortment of custom cocktails, a decent selection of wines, and delicious appetizers and deserts."

Great oasis in a dearth of
restaurants. Food was good. Service good."
Dined on 2/4/2014
Iron works tavern is a great place
for lunch, dinner or a work party. The food is fairly good and consistent and the restaurant can get fairly busy, so I would recommend reservations, especially if you have access to Open Table and can make the reservations on the fly."
Dined on 1/23/2014
was not aware restaurant was
connected to hotel but was surprised that i was so good and very crowded...glad i had reservation......service and choices were great.....great deal was menu for restaurant week.....recommend this place as food is very good but make a reservation"

Did not realize it was "Restaurant
Week" when, sort of last minute, we decided to go to Iron Works for dinner! Even busier, more bustling than ever at 6:15 PM yet the food was just as great as ever and service was friendly and very efficient. We (2 of us) did not feel at all rushed, enjoyed our tasty meals (everything I have had here has always been tasty), and were on our way home in just about one hour! Wide menu selection and prices very reasonable!"

Went for the New Years Eve Buffet
in the upstairs dining room . A little pricey but the food was great and servers were attentive."
Dined on 12/31/2013
Dinned here again nice place, can
get crowded so make reservations they do their best to get you seated .. they have some great daily specials and good choice of steaks and seafood options ... have been here since they opened and never a bad meal or poor service...."
Dined on 12/4/2013
i have dinner here a few time when
visiting RI . nice that it is attached to the Hilton Garden Inn they have a good menu nice specials during the week .. it can fill up during dinner hr and they now have an upstairs I will have to check that out next time suggest reservations it can get noisy because of the high ceilings and cement floors never a bad meal good steaks i like the short rib but it is only 1 rib could use 2-3 for that price .."

We had a good meal last Saturday.
Wine list somewhat limited but the beer selection was better and interesting. The menu was also quite eclectic and interesting which is good if you wish to try something new. It was rather loud for normal volume conversation, which was a negative for us. The bar looked inviting, but we didn't sit there. Plenty of parking in a historic building that has been restored with exposed old beams and brick......nice."

Balsamic dressing on caprese salad
was delicious, one of the best we've ever tasted."
Dined on 10/29/2013
This was my 3rd visit. The first
time everything was excellent. The 2nd time the service was poor but the food was good. This visit was during Providence Restaurant week. The service was OK not great. The food portions were smaller due to the packaging for restaurant week with a fixed priced menu. The savings based on the menu prices was about $2 but the portions are smaller. It makes more sense to order from the regular menu. There are so many better reliable restaurants in the area so I doubt that I will ever return."
Dined on 7/16/2012
Had the restaurant week menu;
eggplant app, braised short rib and banana foster dessert. She had veggie ravioli. Service was great, Kevin Duffney, the head chef, stopped by to say hi. Highly recommended and we would return."
Dined on 7/14/2012
Great Decor, low lighting for
average dining or date night! The prime rib was excellent, waiter right on the money, overall great atmosphere for a reasonable price. I love the darker, brick-like decor, if you want warm come here, if you want white and modern go elsewhere. Pick your mood and then pick the place!"

We visited Iron Works for the
first time 2 weeks ago and the food and service was fantastic. We decided to go back for a 2nd visit. The food was still great but our waiter was poor. The only good thing is that he did get the dinner order correct. We were never offered bread and all of the tables around us had bread and the table next to us had their bread refilled. Our drink glasses were empty and we were never asked if we wanted refills even when he brought our check. We saw the manager visiting other tables but he never stopped at our table. We are not in a rush to go back again."

Quality estaishment has good food
and pub atmossphere. Broad beer selection. Seems to be a popular local night spot. Staff was pleasant and friendly."
Dined on 6/16/2012
I would recommend Iron Works to
anyone who is looking for awesome place to go"

vegetable rissotto delicious!"

Food was very good. You could go
here on a date or bring the kids. Nice decor, and service was good too. Definitely recommend giving it a try."

Great music on St Patrick's Day!
Food was delicious and reasonably priced . Fried clams were the best we have had in a long time."
Dined on 3/17/2012
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND...I/WE LOVE
DOWNSTAIRS. UPSTAIRS ON VALENTINES DAY/EVE THE FOOD WAS AWFUL AND I DON'T REMEMBER EVER SAYING THAT ABOUT ANY OTHER RESTAURANT. TINY PORTIONS, BAD MENU AND WE ARE NOT BIG EATERS. OUR RESERVATION WAS FOR 7:30 AND WE ARRIVED AT 7:20. WE GOT SEATED RIGHT AWAY, BUT OUR MAIN ENTRE WAS SERVED AT 9:15. VALENTINES DAY IS SPECIAL AND UNFORTUNATELY THAT TOOK AWAY FROM THE DAY. WAITER SAID THERE WAS ONE CHIEF UPSTAIRS AND HE WAS OVERWHELMED."
Dined on 2/14/2012
The dinner was very good, the
atmosphere was a bit noisy."
Dined on 1/25/2012
It was our first visit but won't
be our last. We had impeccable service, and the food was not only beautiful to the eye but delicious. The best calamari I've ever had."
Dined on 1/21/2012
Noisy from the bar. Oil for
dipping bread was blah. French onion soup was boiling hot! Tasted ok. Lobster sauté over linguine was excellent. Lobster was very delicious. Large portion. Cheesecake was ok. Husband had salad and loved it, lobster sauté and bread pudding thought were excellent. Would recommend restaurant. Service was very good. No atmosphere on the night we visited. Would go back again."
Dined on 1/21/2012
This restaurant is definitely
worth a trip to. The food is excellent - wait staff is excellent - and always a good meal."
Dined on 1/19/2012
Really enjoyed my first visit and
will return. Everything was excellent"
Dined on 1/19/2012
My wife and I enjoyed the
restaurant, we have been there a couple of times, the hostess, waiters and the manager were great. I recommend this to a lot of people. We will go back there again."
Dined on 1/7/2012
First time there and it was so
awsome we will be back with friends this time"
Dined on 12/3/2011
Asaian Calamari Was Extremely
Soggy. Service Was Fair Due To Restaurant Being Busy."
Dined on 12/3/2011
Our dining experience was
wonderful from start to finish. The upstairs rooms were very quiet and lovely, and the food was excellent."
Dined on 11/12/2011
My husband and I went to dinner
with two other couples. The food and ambiance was fabulous!!!"
Dined on 10/29/2011
Food from the menu is excellent
but the chef specials are the way to go - always different and unique but delicious. We love to sit at the bar but they just renovated the second floor and it is very attractive with several sized private rooms for parties. It is conveniently located near the new parking garage by the airport."
