A word from Iron Works Tavern

The Iron Works Tavern is located in a beautifully restored 1800's brick building that once served as the offices for the Rhode Island Malleable Iron Works. The Iron Works Tavern menu selections including locally harvested seafood as well as fresh seasonal vegetables and imaginatively created pasta… dishes. Our hand cut prime steaks are cooked on our wood-fire grill and served with a variety of house sauces to compliment every palate.
Listen to live entertainment every Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights. All wines by the glass from our extensive list are half price everyday from 11:30am - 6:00pm. We also feature an extensive beer list, “Tavern- Tini” and Bar Bites menu from 3-6pm daily, which make this the perfect spot for after work cocktails.

"PLEASE KEEP IN MIND...I/WE LOVE DOWNSTAIRS. UPSTAIRS ON VALENTINES DAY/EVE THE FOOD WAS AWFUL AND I DON'T REMEMBER EVER SAYING THAT ABOUT ANY OTHER RESTAURANT. TINY PORTIONS, BAD MENU AND WE ARE NOT BIG EATERS. OUR RESERVATION WAS FOR 7:30 AND WE ARRIVED AT 7:20. WE GOT SEATED RIGHT AWAY, BUT OUR MAIN ENTRE WAS SERVED AT 9:15. VALENTINES DAY IS SPECIAL AND UNFORTUNATELY THAT TOOK AWAY FROM THE DAY. WAITER SAID THERE WAS ONE CHIEF UPSTAIRS AND HE WAS OVERWHELMED."

"Noisy from the bar. Oil for dipping bread was blah. French onion soup was boiling hot! Tasted ok. Lobster sauté over linguine was excellent. Lobster was very delicious. Large portion. Cheesecake was ok. Husband had salad and loved it, lobster sauté and bread pudding thought were excellent. Would recommend restaurant. Service was very good. No atmosphere on the night we visited. Would go back again."

"My wife and I enjoyed the restaurant, we have been there a couple of times, the hostess,waiters and the manager were great. I recommend this to a lot of people. We will go back there again."
