Our waiter, Alfredo was marvelous, the raspberry wheat beer was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. With our Open Table reservation, we walked in and were whisked right to our table. The waiter appeared promptly and was available, but not intrusive. The appetizers and entrees were delivered in a timely fashion, not too early, not too late. Just perfect! The only slight negative is that there is limited parking in the area. However, I felt that the quality of the dining experience overrides that issue. I would go back any time. I had one with prosciutto and cherries, and I thought the flavors went together perfectly. My friends had shrimp, sausage, red beans, and rice and the fish and chips. Both said they liked their food but did not finish. I had shrimp soft tacos and thought they were excellent. The flavors of the pineapple, shrimp, cabbage and crema mixed really well together. We had the cupcake trio for dessert and they were good but they tasted as if they had been in the fridge all day. Our waiter was really clueless, and slow. I don't think he was trying to be rude. It is always a good experience at the Iron Hill Phoenixville. But if you are trying to get a meal before going to a show or movie, they are your best choice. Iron Hill beers are always good and the seasonal menu changes more often than expected. Reservations are an absolute must Thursday - Sunday. We have had everything from handmade pizzas (try the goat cheese one--it is truly outstanding) to scallops (also amazing) and most everything in between, and we have never been disappointed. The sweet potato fries appetizer is particularly delicious. The beers vary depending on what is currently being brewed, and the variety is usually so good that we seldom have trouble finding something we like. If you have kids, head in for an early dinner and you will certainly not be the only ones with little ones in tow, but if you are craving a bar-like atmosphere, you won't be disappointed either--the dining room & bar are separated effectively.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently goodConsistently good food and a nice selection of their own house brews. The beers are favorites of my husband and friends. I can't get enough of the desserts! The salted caramel cupcake - OMG! I ate 3! The Malted Bourbon Pecan Ice Cream is also very yummy. I love the Fish Taco and it is a must have if you like fresh fish, pineapple salsa and a warm soft tortilla.
