Had a delicious burger and beer while catching up with some old friends. The service was just okay, not fantastic, but they were super-busy on a Saturday night. Love that they change their menu seasonally.

I'd been to Iron Hill several times with the family for dinner which is why I picked it for the business lunch that was this visit. The actual lunch menu is kind of limited, but I assume that you can order anything from the dinner menu for lunch. What surprised me was how quiet and peaceful the place was. Perfect for an earnest business discussion. Would have been nice to have a beer, but then I would have gotten nothing done all afternoon.

We went for the Sunday roast beef dinner special. Included in the special was the house salad and a baked potato and vegetable (on this night, broccoli). We each ordered an ale from their list of current special offerings. Salad was OK -- nothing special. The potato and broccoli were cooked just right. Our server was very pleasant and attentive; service was prompt but we never felt rushed even though the place was packed and the waiting area full. (They must be doing something right!) Price was fair for the quantity and quality of the food. We've been here for the roast beef before and will be back again -- the food is always dependably good: not haute cuisine but everything very tasty.

Food was good. I did not receive my soup and they also forgot my husband's salad. The manager came over later and asked if I still wanted the soup. I told him yes, I would take the soup since I had finished my meal - I never got it. They couldn't remove the salad from the bill because it came with the entree, so we had to take that home.

We've been to many Iron Hill locations. All are good, this was good too. Looked like there were some new menu items, we tried the crispy brussel sprouts, and the beef flatbread--both very good. Also enjoyed their belgian witbier, a nice citrusy brew with hints of coriander in the finish. Very refreshing on a summer night. Service was excellent.

The beer here is second to none. Make sure you always check the seasonal beers and food specials. They never disappoint. Don't forget they always have one or two award winning beers on tap. I suggest always booking ahead, it gets really busy on the weekends.

We have visited here regularly over the past several years. In the last year, we have noticed a decline in both service and the quality of the food. The beer is still up to standards, but management needs to review the the lack of friendliness in service and the quality of the food in its preparation. One might suggest that if you want to visit Iron Hill, try one of their other locations for better service and better prepared food.

We attended for a birthday dinner. Food was very good - all had seafood options and the cake brought for the birthday was rich, chocolatey, and delicious. The beer however was disappointing. We tried 7 different beers, only one of which had the well-rounded flavors that we have come to expect from microbrews. Iron Hill's beers were fairly tasteless and offered nothing new or interesting as compared to any commercial beer available in stores.

Every aspect of the meal was great; from the cheesesteak egg rolls, to the burger, to the seasonal beer sampler, to the dessert. We left with our fair share of food in our stomachs and didn't regret it one bit. Our server was very personable and was prompt with service, as well. Easily the best restaurant I have yet to visit in the Media area!

You can't go wrong with Iron Hill. Some of the best service in Media. Food is consistent and delicious. Their wings and nachos are a huge favorite of ours, but we always like their entrees. This is a good place to take a larger group because usually everyone can find something here to eat. Favorite Beer: Real Boy IPA. The staff is always very knowledgeable and courteous.

I had booked a table for nine, including three children, via Open Table. As we were about to be seated, I told the hostess that the table she was assigning us was inappropriate for our needs and that I would like another table. At that point, the manager, a female in her twenties, came over and said "no problem, give me two minutes." Sure enough, she sized up the situation and moved us to a less busy spot and seated us. From that point on, all went well -- food, beverages, and service. My thanks to the manager and the wait staff.

I was really in the mood for a drink with peach tones, it being summer solstice and all... and our waiter was able, with the bartender's able assistance, to make me a Fuzzy sort of Navel with extra peach schnapps (?) for that burst of flavor! Nice personal service there. Our food was fun and as always, Iron Hill is a great place to talk and catch up - those big booths!

We go for dinner because the food is very good. There are always people waiting (sometimes a LOT of people waiting) and we sail right past them with our Open Table reservation, & they are always ready for us (it was very crowded this past Sunday & we waited maybe 10 minutes; people who called were being told 45 minutes).

Overall, the food was great, noise level very high, our waitress had to ask us three times to repeat out order and drinks! The service was poor. We waited 20 minutes till a waitress came to take our drink order, another 15minutes for the drinks to arrive and when we told our waitress we were ready to order, she said she would be right back, well that took he another 10 minutes. Other than that, our meals were great! I would definitely go back for lunch not for dinner. LB

We have been to Iron Hill before, but not at this location. The beer and food were very good, especially for a dinner with the kids. However, we were surprised at some of the prices. We went to the Iron Hill in Wilmington about a year ago and the prices were definitely less. It is just pub food, albeit good pub food, after all.

Iron Hill used to be delicious, but in the past two years, they have changed their menu, eliminating many favorite things, and they just can't seem to pull it together in the kitchen. Two items that our party of four ordered were not edible due to excessive salt. The sandwich ordered, never came with a pickle or slaw and when asked we were told "sorry." The pickle eventually came...no slaw. The waitress spilled a tray of sodas on the entire edge of our booth table, was apologetic and sweet, but took forever cleaning the mess up as our plates just floated in soda. Our waitress was so buried that we barely saw her, so forget asking for napkins that we needed or even just some water. Sorry guys, but I think I'm done with you forever.

When I asked our server about dairy-free menu items (I'm allergic) she went to ask the chef about ingredients. Said chef also made a dairy-free sorbet to make up for the lack of dairy-free desserts. This level of service pleases me greatly; I am incredibly grateful! I usually have an excellent meal at Iron Hill, but when I went to lunch with some friends, I had a disappointing Thai shrimp noodle salad. It was watery and didn't have many veggies or shrimp; just mostly noodles. The french onion soup I had as a starter was excellent. Everyone else enjoyed their meal (naked burger salad, chicken quesadilla).

It's LOUD (couldn't make that rating work on iPad), so, hard to talk, but the food is very good and staff are friendly and attentive. They always honor our Open Table reservation promptly, which amazes me because sometimes we walk past a long line of people waiting, and they also almost always honor my request for a booth, which is especially nice because we can hear each other better in a booth. I took off one star for the noise level, but if you're under 40, I doubt you'd care :-)
