Our server Erin was very attentive and was friendly despite how busy the restaurant was. She was able to accommodate all of our needs. The only complaint I have about our visit was that we made a reservation for 2:15 and were not seated at a table until 2:35. This confused me. Despite the fact that we made a reservation, we still had to wait. I've been to several IH restaurants and haven't had to wait longer than a few minutes to be seated when making a reservation. Usually the table is ready and waiting for us. Having said that, the host staff was also very friendly and apologized for the wait. Overall, the food and service was great! This place was recommended by a friend and I am glad we took them up on it. The list of drinks, appetizers and food was great. My wife and I had the loaded nachos which were the best I have ever tasted! Cooked just right, and the toppings great. We both had the turkey burger which was by far the juiciest turkey burger I have ever had.
Not only was the food great but the outdoor seating was nice. Tables had plenty of room on them and the outdoor environment was awesome. On top of that the service was top notch!! The waitresses were friendly and you were never left wanting anything. Any request was taken care of quickly and courteously! At the last minute, we needed to add two more, and Iron Hill was very accomodating. The food was exceptional, with only three doggie boxes requested! And the desserts were to die for. My new favorite is the banana bread pudding! Burns was an exceptional server, and everything came out quickly and very hot (one of my pet peeves is cold/lukewarm food). This was our 5th time to Iron Hill, and everytime is a special occasion. And I love we can use Open Table to make a reservation! The entrees are a little pricey, but the hamburgers and sandwiches are very reasonably priced and delicious. Having never been to Lancaster before we searched online for a restaurant where we could go over maps, and stops along the routes.
We made 7pm reservations, and arrived 10 minutes early. We were immediately led to a nice sized booth that was perfect for spreading out maps. Our server was prompt, and soon we had our choice of in-house beers. The Kryptonite IPA was amazing!
The orders arrived quickly, and everything was perfect. Our burgers had nice green leaf lettuce, and a nice ripe heritage tomato.

Excellent service and menu. She loves their Portobello sandwich and sweet potato fries. I had the Fisherman's Stew which was the only negative of the evening. While the seafood was properly prepared and the broth tasty IMO it is overpriced at $19.99. To me, it was more a large bowl of soup than a stew with several shrimp, scallops, mussels and a little fish. Considering a side salad is an extra $5.95, my dinner seemed more like a light lunch at $26.00.
