The under-500 calorie entrees choices are also a great option--a nice variety of options and right-size portions. And of course the beer drinkers in our party always enjoy that aspect. Service has always been very good. The atmosphere can be very loud when it's full, which can be hard for elderly who have hearing deficits--so if we want to bring the great-grandparents along, we do it on the quieter evenings and not on the weekends.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMA Solid ChoiceI have dined at Iron Hill plenty of times and it is always a good time. It's fun to try beers of their seasonal list. Also, getting the sampler of eggrolls is a must - even if you don't think you will like one of the options. I miss their buffalo chicken eggroll but the MexiCali is a good addition. I really recommend getting a flight of beer, so that by the end of the meal you can order a growler of your favorite to go. This past time was my first time at the Chestnut Hill location, and for being a Friday night, the food came out timely and our server was very attentive. They change up their menu for each season and have great beer. It took 30 mins on a Friday night with the hand held device that vibrates. When I walked over after 30 mins, there was only one couple who just got there and multiple tables open.
Food was good. Portions of steak were small for my preference. The Mac and cheese had absolutely no flavor; it was incredibly bland. Disappointed in that for a simple dish that's a comfort food.

They were very accommodating when I called. Parking is a little difficult and the building is not on the corner as the address would suggest. Their sign is hard to notice when driving by. But we found it and was very happy we did. Our waitress, Kate, took really good care of us. The beer drinkers got to sample a few beers before they settled on their choice. The seafood bisque is really good. Would have preferred a little hotter then they served it. Everyone enjoyed their meals. And dessert was perfect! We both were delighted with the service from the hostesses to the server and then the busboy. We were seated quickly and welcomed by our waitress soon after being seated.
She was thoroughly familiar with the menu offerings. We selected her recommendations and were very pleased with our choices. We will certainly return to Iron Grill probably with our husbands! The chance to sample a little of several beers was especially nice. Some of the beers were outstanding, others to be avoided but grateful for the chance to discover. Food was well presented, FF were ordinary. My hamburger a bit dry but salmon BLT was excellent. Our server was exceptionally helpful and pleasant helped to make our experience memorable. I have always been very satisfied with the dining experience. The food and service are great. The servers a re very friendly. I was with a group of seven. The restaurant was quiet as it was 2:30. I was the only one in the party who had dined there before. During the dinner hour and on the weekends it is busy but the wait is not too long. Everyone was pleased with the food and portion size. Most of us had seafood entrees. All of the girls said they would return soon. We had a great day.
