We came here specifically for my husband's birthday, as he was craving their prime rib special. Unfortunately, although we called two weeks ago to check they still had it, they discontinued it the day we arrived. He was extremely disappointed. He ordered the fish and chips which was very good and it's hard to find cod fish and chips around here. I ordered the crab cake salad special. They put the wrong dressing and no avocado on it, and I stupidly didn't notice until I had eaten a quarter of it and after the server came to check on us. She didn't come back again until a half hour later or so. She had a lot of tables in the bar area. Although the service wasn't bad, she couldn't been a little more attentive. She was friendly. Beer was good.

Inconsistent service. The waiting staff is quick to take your order but is difficult to get service after the order is taken. Slow to get the check and review if questions. Food was average and there was a variety to choose from.

I ate at an Iron Hill Brewery for the first time this weekend. It was really, really good. The lobster bisque was one of the best I've ever tasted. My entree was a petite filet mignon. I asked for it medium, and it was perfect. It was topped with this incredible corn and crab relish. I can't wait to go back and try other things. The ambiance is relaxing and the service is top notch. I went to the Iron Hill in Chestnut Hill, PA.

I've visited in the past and always had an enjoyable experience. Last visit was not the same. Although food was great (as usual) staff in the bar area was inattentive.(approx 5:PM Friday) Also our waiter never informed of Happy Hour specials and was unable to answer (basic) questions about the wine list.

My sister-in-law and I have birthdays a day apart, so we celebrated with our spouses. Mushroom soup is awesome. Calamari very good. Think salt should be used sparingly on French fries and chicken pot pie. Brother-in-law and his wife thought everything was too salted. One can add salt according to taste. I enjoyed the Moroccan salmon .My husband enjoyed his burger. Portions are fine/ Caesar salad has to be crisper with fresh romaine, (fewer green ends), and an option of fresh parmesan cheese to be added on top.

Iron Hill Brewery was accommodating with all of our requests. They sat us at a table in the back - less noisy. We brought a birthday cake, and they put candles on, after the song, cut it into pieces, served at no extra cost. Good selection on the menu.

Always great down to earth food. Enjoyed the choices and variety. Excellent beer selection, and had fun with the sampler option. The service is really great - our server knew the menu well, had lots of suggestions, helped with beer choices, and suggested parings. I wish all service was this great. Atmosphere was friendly - while there is a large bar area, the place is huge and spacious, so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of the people next to you. Really like the open windows during good weather.

This was our second visit to Iron Hill Brewery. This time we had a group of 9 and were celebrating my parent's anniversary. Our table was ready and waiting for us. Our server, Tony F, was friendly and efficient. I had the crabcacks and they were delicious. Everyone had a great meal. We did have an issue with the French dip sandwich my son ordered but it was rectified timely. The beer selection was large and the adults had fun trying different ones. Now my parents have added this place to their list of go to restaurants.

Our family met up there with good friends on a Tuesday evening and were surprised at how busy and noisy it was for a week night. Our waitress made up for it as she was friendly and attentive and had some very good recommendations for food selection. Despite the noise in our section we all enjoyed our selections. When my son learned his entree didn't come with the mashed potatoes he was expecting our waitress was quick to bring him a side of hot mashed potatoes. We have been here several times and find that we can count on the quality of the food.

This is not a place for a light bite, since many of the menu items aren't exactly healthy, though they do have a healthier-choice section. Great beer selection! This is a good reliable neighborhood place that is very popular, so it's wise to make reservations. Servers were youthful, helpful and charming.

I had lunch with a friend here recently. It was my first time trying Iron Hill Brewery. It's a beautiful space - surprisingly large - and the beer was great. But I was disappointed to find very few vegetarian choices on the menu, other than pizza. There was even ham in the macaroni and cheese.

I am a frequent customer her. I love it here my daughter does too. However Unfortunately, Saturday I had a less than enjoyable experience. My waitress who I know is new-Andrea needs a little more work at serving. She made me feel rushed and then threw out my daughter's pizza because she was in such a rush she never asked if I wanted to take the rest home. Not to mention she neglected to tell me the specials. When I asked her what specials were for dessert she replied " well none we may have some peach cobbler left over" ( huh?) Anyway the manager was super apologetic and fixed everything. Including another pizza for my daughter Leah. Thanks for that. And I'm confident that management will address this! And I'll of course will be back!

It was the 4th of July and there was large wedding rehearsal dinner taking place at the same time, so that might account for the disappointing service lapses. However, we have eaten here before without incident, so we were surprised. To wit, the food took far too long to arrive and when it did, some of the main course dishes preceded the appetizers. In fact, when my wife's gluten-free salad finally arrived, it was covered in croutons! Similarly, she was mistakenly given a non-gluten-free version of her main dish, which fortunately was caught before she took a bite. Eventually an unsmiling manager stepped in to try to make things right by personally delivering the food. But it was too little too late.

The hostesses were not particularly friendly and handed us a device to let us know when our reserved table was ready although we were right in front of them(by ourselves). And also their attire was not particularly professional, actually sloppy. The dining room was noisy and full of children seemingly unattended. Food was okay and the waitress was fine. Many of the customers seemed to be better suited to McDonalds by their lack of table manners. I am not a snob but the entire experience in the "open dining" area was uncomfortable for me. Next time I will ask for a booth. The experience was totally lacking charm. And I do realize the restaurant cannot control their customers' behavior. Maybe there should be a toddler room.

This was our first visit to Iron Hill Brewery, we went with another couple. Our waitress was friendly and attentive - she told us she was still being trained, and it was clear she really wanted to please us. The menu is extensive - which was very appealing, after having recently gone to a number of trendy restaurants with very limited menus - so each of us had plenty of choices that appealed to us, and the food was very nice. Not "gourmet," but tasty and satisfying. When in Chestnut Hill, we would definitely go back there.

The "Hand Cut Carolina Sweet Potato Fries" are indeed out-of-this-world! Perfect consistency plus they arrive so nicely presented w/4 sauces - each 1 more decadent that the next. My personal favorites were the horseradish & the habanero-lime although my friend held strong to the smoked paprika aioli. A special nod to the bourbon-vanilla cream sauce - which was an entire new dimension on fries. I wasn't too impressed with my "House Smoked Pork Sandwich". Too finely grated that the pork seemed lost - I'd rather see delicately "pulled" pork vs condensed. However, I just added a little BBQ sauce to loosen & tang-it-up. You can't reserve seating for the large windows areas up front but always a delight to sit there & people watch too.

One thing I notice at Iron Hill after many many times eating there--the soups are generally on the salty side, salads are often overdressed (ask for it on the side). Crab cakes are more filler than crab, so not highly recommended. Have gotten a good steak there at times. And the beers are enjoyable, of course.

We have tried this restaraunt several times as it is just down the street from our home. Each times we have visited there have been loud screaming and crying kids, we are not talking babies here (which they are there as well), but I keep looking to see where the playground is! The waitress this time visited our table maybe 3 times the entire visit, the food runners were more helpful. We will not go back, who wants dinner on a friday night after a long week of work and list to screaming children and poor service!

Our waitress was terrible. She ruined our experience. First it took about 10 minutes to even get the drinks we ordered. Then she never checked on us when we got our food. We needed napkins and refills. It took her forever to get our Check to us too. She seemed out of it and would forget that we asked for things. We had 3 small children in our party and because it took 2 hours for our entire meal, they were a mess by the end. Also, you should know not to put a plate of hot food directly down in front of a baby. The food was good. But the experience was awful.

We have been at this restaurant before and love the food. It did not disappoint with the food quality this time either. We were disappointed with the service though. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes for our table even though we were told they were setting it up when we got there and there were many empty tables. We were also seated in a booth by the kitchen after having to wait and other tables were obviously available. Most of the wait staff was pleasant, but the waitress assigned to us was not the best. She was either rushing our order, ignoring us or speaking with an impatient tone. We have always had excellent service at this restaurant and maybe she was jut having a bad night?

Iron Hill has moved into Chestnut Hill, giving another dining option to the area. The hostess staff was very accommodating and helpful. We loved the floor to ceiling windows and being able to have a view of the neighborhood. The food was great, highly recommend the sweet potato fries appetizer and the crab cakes. Our dining partners had the ribs, which were meaty but the plate as a whole was a bit bare regarding sides. For the price of the entree's I would expect a "fuller" plate. However, there are a variety of options in different price ranges, so it is a good pub spot or nice time out. We dined for almost 3 hours with no complaints and not feeling rushed. Would go back.
