We were really excited to try this place out. It was packed, which boded well but then the night started off with the server explaining that I needed an id to drink. I forgot mine in the car. I do not look under 21. Ok whatever let's apply rules blindly I get it. Manager apologized and offered a free beer if I got the id which was blocks away. Food came, tiny portions for the appetizers then the pizza which was over priced and unremarkable. Did I mention we waited a half hour even with a reservation?

The food is great but the service was slow. We had a waitress in training with another waitress and the 2 of them didn't come back to check on us after the appetizers came out. We had really spicy food and no water or drinks to wash it down with.

Food was awesome, perfectly cooked, the beers are great and brewed on site which is cool. It was pretty load and very full but it was not distracting. It is on the higher end of moderate pricing, expect about $30-$40 per person for a nice dinner. They should focus on getting a wait staff that is better trained because I think having to ask for water more than once is pretty poor for the level of the restaurant. Make sure to get reservations during peak times.

Both West Chester and Media have plenty of great restaurants, but when you're going out with someone whose tastes you don't know, or someone who is picky, Iron Hill is a great choice. They have something to please everyone, and the food is very good.

We love Iron Hill & go there twice a month. Overall I would give it a 4.5 rating (out of 5) based on dozens and dozens of visits over the years. Our most recent visit fell a bit short. It was a Monday so there were few other patrons. The server was friendly but we waited a long time. My father's martini (which he orders regularly) was significantly short- at least 3/8". We told the waitress and she said she would tell the bartender. The second one was equally short! There was no spillage on her tray & we were 30 feet from the bar service station. A bar that serves a short martini twice loses points. Marisa the manger on duty came over & offered to remove both from our check- but we settled for one. Food was great as usual.

I recently made a reservation after I heard about their gluten-free menu. As a diagnosed Celiac, finding a restaurant that will accommodate my needs sometimes proves difficult. My experience at Iron Hill was wonderful. The staff were very knowledgeable. I was pleased with the variety of the gluten-free menu as there was a little bit of everything! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious gluten-free meal.

We dine at iron Hill in West Chester at least twice a month- sometimes more. We request the same seating area (off the main floor which is very noisy and busy) and are usually seated within 10 minutes of our reserved time. Dinner was wonderful- the service was a little slower than usual- but we were ok with that. We do think that Iron Hill should consider a family- free area- there were crying babies and children running in the aisle next to our booth. If parents are letting their kids do that, the restaurant must put in place barriers to disrupting others. It is an ongoing issue- but was not a particular problem Saturday. We would not be going there so often if it was a BIG problem something for the owners/managers to consider.

Iron Hill - WC is a great place for the family, for a date night, and to hang out with friends. Tonight was family night. Kids loved the Kraft Mac 'n Cheese and crispy French fries. We sampled the Brussel sprouts and crab quesadilla - both were great. The French dip sandwich was also very good. The only disappointment was the Caesar salad which was fresh and crisp but dressing was bland with a hint of fish. Beers are outstanding especially the Raspberry Wheat.

Iron Hill was pretty good..it is a little overpriced for the food but there are a lot of choices so it makes up for it. I got two small plates.. one the shrimp taco and the other the pork taco. The pork was good the shrimp was kind of mushy and not as flavorful. Beers are strong and good and so are the cocktails. Good place for a first date because it is intimate but has enough noise so there are not awkward silences. Our waiter was painfully awkward and lingered too long but he was nice. Forgot our waters four times but finally brought them out after our meal was over. Good thing we had beers to keep us satisfied.

We went for Father's Day dinner and had a nice meal. Despite reservations through OpenTable and what seemed like a slow night, we still waited over 10 minutes for our booth. Service was slow/inconsistent. The waiter seemed confused...not sure if he was new or not, but he was not particularly attentive. We ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls and the asparagus tempura as appetizers. The cheesesteak egg rolls are delicious, but overpriced. I was disappointed in the asparagus tempura as we only received 6 stalks! Again, very overpriced. The burgers were very good and prepared exactly as requested, however, I was wondering if there is a lettuce shortage as the amount of shredded iceberg on my burger was nearly non-existent.

We love Iron Hill and visit the WC location at least 3 times a month. Our most recent visit on Sunday June 8 was one of the best ever. First- our waiter- Will- we love him. It is always the luck of the draw- and all servers are good- but Will is exceptional. He remembered us and when he told my husband that oysters were back -well that was cause for celebration. The food was excellent- oysters, sea bass special, portobello sandwich- and so were the seasonal beers. Additionally we got our requested seating - in a booth behind the bar- and because it was a Sunday night - the atmosphere was MUCH better. I think we will start going Sundays instead of Saturdays which are chaotic. Overall- superior experience.

Had dinner over Memorial weekend. We have been there many times as we live in West Chester and we usually love it. This night was a little of an off night for them. We had a reservation and had to wait for our table and we were actually a few minutes late in getting there which was not a huge deal but to be noted. The biggest thing was we waited a while for our server to come to the table. We had extended family with us and for them being their first time there at the restaurant it didn't make for a good first impression. my father in law wanted sweetened ice tea, the server informed him they had none, in fact they did and we realized it later. We'll come back but it was a little disappointing.
