When we arrived at our table there was an anniversary card signed by the staff followed by a lovely glass of champagne. I had been to the restaurant in the past and knew what to expect but my husband had not. We started off with the cheese plate, which never disappoints, followed by fabulous salads and entrees. We took one bite of the delicious desserts and asked for to go containers because we were so satisfied with what we had already consumed that we decided to save the sumptuous crème Brule and cheesecake for the next day. Service was prompt despite the fact that this place nearly always fills up so you need to make reservations! Food was prepared exactly as requested and each dish was quite delicious (Halibut x2, Sirloin and braised ribs). Food quality, taste and wine selection are the primary reasons this place is so popular. Located right on Howard County's curving thoroughfare, route 108 and across from Clark's Elioak Farms. Iron Bridge has an extensive wine list, food that I can pronounce and actually eat. We celebrated Mother's Day with our 15 year old son. I definitely recommend this for special occasions and for a time when you want to move up from the usual Friday/Saturday dining options. You do not have to be dressed up but the staff looks great. Another great opportunity is that Iron Bridge produces a monthly wine list of bottle for sale. Typically $10 to $12 each. Terrific choices for any budget. The burgers we enjoyed were juicy and tasted divine. Maybe it had something to do with the house made BBQ sauce or the fried green tomato. Whatever it was, we loved it. It's a large burger, and the three in our party who enjoyed it heartily recommend it. If possible, get the lunch fries, which are outstanding.
