The food and wine are enjoyable but the price and the packed house can diminish that a little. I think of it as an upscale "hang-out" for locals.

Iron Bridge is my favorite restaurant in the Columbia area for a few reasons. Good food for the money. Great wine selection, again conscious of the price. Long term staff members and company owners who know me and know I'm their customer. Always a good place to enjoy a meal and a friend.

Had a nice time. Fllled up on 2 appetizers each (soup was notable, as were mussels) and excellent wine selection. Desert was too large -- esp. creme brule (too much for even 2 to share) and trio of sorbets (smaller scoops would do). Wild Berry Sorbet - frozen fruits didn't work for us. Will definitely come again!

I love Iron Bridge. Normally, my friends and I go for wine and Iron Bridge's "amusements" (appetizers), but we recently went for dinner. I had a strip steak that melted in my mouth. It was divine! And the fries that accompanied it were amazing. Their wine list is constantly changing and always has delicious finds--we look forward to trying something new each time. While the restaurant is tiny, it's got a chic yet cozy atmosphere that makes it different than any other restaurant in Columbia. It's my favorite hangout!

This was our first trip to Iron Bridge and well worth it. Our server Lydia was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. There were wine choices in every price range, and the food was priced very well for the flavor. We'll definitely be back! The only bad part of our experience was that we sat at the table with the sofa and two chairs. The men in our party couldn't get their legs beneath the table because it was too low...and every time the door opened an icy wind blew right on us.

The food was belwo expectation and quite frankly I was embarassed. While we may visit again for a glass of wine and apps. I will think twice before utilizing the restaruant for business dinners

Our experience was quite enjoyable! Our waitress was very friendly and personable. The wine was lovely and it was great to have so many wines to choose from. The food was tasty, especially the desert. The tuna appetizer was a little disappointing however. Overall we had an excellent experience and would recommend the restaurant to our friends.

Ironbridge is a favorite just based on the ambiance of the restaurant. While there are a few tables that offer some private conversation, many of the tables are close together. Several groups can end up sharing the high table in the side room. The close proximity and the casual, but elegant atmosphere seem to encourage diners to get to know each other. You are likely to engage those around you in conversation, especially after a glass from their excellent wine list. The menu of appetizers, small plates, and deserts is somewhat typical of "wine bars", but is consistently well prepared. Service is always attentive and friendly.

The ambience was great. Being a wine bar, it was fabulous to order flights of wine and taste a variety. Service is excellent, and all are very knowledgable on the wines (as it should be). I wish the food lived up to the wine. It was ok, but we expected a little more "wow". We checked out the menu online before going and knew the menu was limited and meant to highlight the wines without outshining them. But that won't stop us from going again, because overall it was very good.

I was amazed by this experience. first, the location was beautiful, across from rolling hills in the country. inside the decor was done very well. the staff greeted us promtly and seated us right away. the waitress, Laura, was friendly AND knew her stuff! we took advantage of the 3 for $30 plus got the tapenade and a wine flight. the tapenade was perfect, I had none to take home. I also got the cheese plate (no stone ground mustard?) still it was awsome, the rockfish(perfectly done!!) my wife had a caesar salad and the chicken, I had a bite of hers and it couldn't have been done better! I am in the biz and am hard to get a perfect review from but this place has done it, not just for the food but I am highly impressed with the service! A++++

We used to be a big fan of Iron Bridge when it opened. Now that we have a toddler, we don't go as often as we used to, and were really looking forward to a night out with another couple. Unfortunately, Iron Bridge is not what it used to be. Although the food is still excellent, they have raised their prices and corkage fees. The wait staff is not nearly as friendly as they used to be. When we told them that we were enjoying a night out away from the kids and planned to sit and have a very leisurely meal with numerous appetizers and bottles of wine, we were actually told that they'd have to check with the hostess since they had "a number of reservations to honor that night". Needless to say, we won't be back anytime soon.

I've been here before and had always been pleased. This time, I invited my sister and her husband to join us, knowing Iron Bridge would not disappoint. Unfortunately, while the overall meal was still good, it didn't measure up to past experiences. The menu hadn't changed since the last time, but a special insert menu with a number of other dishes had since been removed. As a result, finding something for an entree was a bit of a challenge. When the food finally arrived, everyone seemed happy. My mashed potatoes were stone cold and our server did not check on us through the course of the meal. The noise level that night was also way too high with a gaggle of mid-aged ladies at the long table in the middle overwhelming the room.

Our dining experience was overall very good. The food and service was excellent, but the restaurant is very small and does not have any extra area to wait for your table. The bar is reserved for eating as well, so we had to stand for around 20 minutes waiting for our table to open up. Once we were seated, unfortunately there was a rather boisterous and somewhat rude group of women seated next to us. They were so loud that we could not have a conversation with the couple we were with. But the server was prompt and courteous and the food was fabulous. All in all I would recommend this restaurant.

I have always loved Iron Bridge. This wasn't my favorite visit, but it was still wonderful. The flatbread pizza is a great appetizer to share. The one that we ordered featured pine nuts, feta, and cured lemon. It was superb! I ordered the shrimp salad, which was lacking in flavor, despite the good-sized shrimp, but my mother's garlic crusted pork tenderloin was delicious. The berry creme brulee, as usual, was delicious, but I was a tad disappointed that my berry brulee contained only 4 berries. Great ambiance, warm and friendly service is always to be expected. The wine list is extensive, and the food is of top-notch gourmet quality with a lot of variety and perfect portions. Still my favorite restaurant in Maryland!

Wonderful place! A bit crowded (they have too many fans and not enough tables / chairs). Wine selection is great and the $10 cork fee for the wines you purchase of the shelf is a reasonable price: they offer nice glassware to enjoy your wine. This restaurant features a limited number of entrees (only 5-6), but offers 15-20 different appetizers, and a very large selection of wines. Many diners appear to make a meal out of several appetizers that they match with different wines. The wait staff is excellent, knowledgeable about the wines and the food, and energetic and friendly. We ordered four different entrees, all of them were excellent with the exception of the steak, which was over-cooked. We sampled two of the desserts, both of which were outstanding. The meal was expensive. $150 for four entrees and two desserts, and another $100 for two bottles of wine. I left feeling it was a good value (fair price), but this is a special occasion restaurant.
