  • "One fantastic deal. Champagne was wonderful and the food excellent. This was my second time and I intend to return as soon as possible."

  • "This place is a hidden gem. The brunch was great and the champagne the best deal in town. The service was fast."

  • "Well I can't rate the food as we never got to eat. We made a reservation on Open Table. I had the confirmatory email. We found no hostess. A server we finally flagged down simply said "I am sorry we have no tables down here and there is a private party upstairs." We went elsewhere for dinner."

  • "We're talking the real sized bottles, not those baby ones on the plane. Great brunch, fabulous bar tender, mimosas on the cheap. What else could you ask for? My friend and I left, stumbling and stuffed for about $17 a piece."

  • "Well, I do love a $1 bottle of champagne. Especially when most places sell the same quality for $7 a glass. They did get my order wrong and were a little slow to seat us, but we were a big, boysterous group and they tolerated us very well."

  • "Absolutely amazing brunch spot, and the fact that it's offered Saturday and Sunday makes it even better. I had a party of 7 and we were able to sit outside since we got in early at 1030. The brunch special is a $1 bottle of champagne per every entree. My friends and I had a great time and everyone's food turned out great. The saddlebags were the biggest crowd pleaser. My only complaint was the service was a little slow, but it was understandable since the place went from empty to full in about thirty minutes. As long as we had a full bottle of champs on our table, we were good to go. Definitely will be coming back again."

  • "The champagne brunch is wonderful--great deal and even better food! I recommend going earlier (around 10am) if possible, though, to avoid teh noise of a crowd."
    Dined on 6/22/2014
  • "Mediocre food. All three people got their orders wrong in some way - both omelets came with whatever the cook felt like putting in them rather than what we requested, and my eggs benedict didn't come for almost 25 minutes after the omelets. The waitress was all over the place, didn't explain why the orders were wrong, didn't offer to fix it, didn't explain why the food was so slow in arriving, and didn't even bring over anything to munch on while we waited. She comped the champagne - which is literally one dollar."

  • "Can't beat the deal they have for brunch. I love their eggs bene and the dollar bottle champagne just is the icing on the cake when it comes to having brunch!"
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "We enjoyed our brunch at this little pub. The Saddlebags (pancakes with sausage and bacon in the batter) were delicious! You will not go home hungry. The only thing missing? Decafe coffee! But, other than that? I'd return."
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "You cant beat this place. The food was delicious, I ordered the eggs benny, and my girlfriend got a gigantic omelet. My only complaint was that the home fries were really salty, but that's nothing that cant be cured with some ketchup. Also, the champagne was only $1! A croft of orange juice was 5, but we made it last through a number of champagne bottles. Fantastic food and cheap drinks, great place to bring friends for Sunday brunch."

  • "$1 Champagne with purchase of any entree food item is awesome. I liked the saddlebags and my companion enjoyed her salmon eggs Benedict. The outdoor seating got a little warm without any shade, but I was very pleased with my experience."

  • "Great place for unlimited mimosas, groups and cheap eats. "

  • " We had a great time at brunch. Food, drinks, service were all outstanding. The only complaint I have is that I tried to make a reservation for 5, but was only allowed to do 2 and the place was 100% empty on the 2nd floor, we were the only table and thus I could have not canceled on my friends."

  • "$1 champagne bottles for brunch is the greatest thing ever created.. right after.. well.. brunch.."

  • "Brunched here on a friend's recommendation and to verify if the $1 bottle of champagne was real. It was! My friend and I were able to have 3-4 mimosas each. Drinks aside, the food was great. I ordered the eggs benedict - a bit salty but still yummy. My friend ordered french toast which was very filling. It was crusted in some type of crunchy stuff which I liked but a little tough for to chew. Our server was really great about having the kitchen prepare the dish without the coating. Tasted amazing! Timely seating, great server, food was decent (they could do better with the home fries - some onions, peppers, something!) and the bubbly was just enough of a buzz for a Sunday afternoon!"

  • "I ate at Irish Whiskey Public House on a business trip to DC. It was raining ("It was a dark and stormy night..."), but inside the pub had a warm, friendly feel. The bar tender doubled as wait staff for the tables across from the bar. He was very busy and it was a little hard to get his attention, but he was friendly and welcoming. The food (I had a hamburger and fries) was very good. Portions were ample without being too large. I also had a salad and desert. All were very good."

  • "The food was average at best. The pancakes are dry and they don't have real maple syrup. The waitstaff was friendly but not attentive. We went for brunch and ordered coffee as soon as we sat down. The waiter returned a few minutes later to tell us that the coffee would take a few minutes because the bartender was late and he was the only one who knew how to operate the coffee machine. We never got our coffee and the waiter did not mention it again. With all the great brunch options in DC, I would not recommend trying Irish Whiskey."

  • "Their brunch deal with "not" bottomless is on it's game. It's a little small from what we could see, the food was okay, but the server kept our glasses full and the food didn't take long at all. Would be great to sit outside but inside was great to watch a game and relax. The crowd there was already having a great time"

  • "This place serves good food and you can't beat the champagne special at $1/bottle. We arrived 30 minutes early and were quickly seated. The steak and eggs, and eggs Benedict were both well prepared and fairly priced. It is rather loud but a fun place for brunch. Casual dress. Pleasant staff. We will return!!!"

  • "We stopped there Easter morning. The environment was casual and friendly. Old wood pulleys made interesting light fixtures. We also like the houndstooth wall treatments. For $1 extra, our table got a bottle of champagne so we had Mimosas. Keith was our waiter. He was engaging and you can tell he enjoys his job and welcomes the connections with customers. He really added to the experience. Thanks for a nice brunch."

  • "We had a fantastic brunch here. They have great outdoor seating and you really can't beat $1 champagne bottles. The food was good, especially the home fries. The only thing is that for groups, you really need to make reservations in advance because they are a busy restaurant."

  • "$1 champagne bottles with every entree ordered is an amazing deal. Orange juice carafes are $5 each, which isn't on the menu and they don't tell you till you've ordered them. The food is nothing great, but it's not overpriced, which is nice. However, our food took a full hour to come out, which was probably the most frustrating part of our experience."

  • "Great Experience. Came in for St. Patty's day brunch and they were slammed. Although we had to wait to be seated (with a reservation) they went above and beyond to take care of us and comped a bunch of our drinks. Excellent customer service, me and my friends will be returning for sure!"

  • "Irish Whiskey has a great brunch. The food is good, and comes quickly. The place is small, so you need to show up early or get a reservation."

  • "Having experienced many brunches in DC, I was thrilled to find out about a new bottomless brunch deal that I hadn't tried. Upon arriving my group couldn't be seated yet, since it was crowded and they were running behind. Normally this would be pretty irritating, but they began serving us the champagne over the bar accompanied by shots of Jameson to compensate for the wait. This was a big +1 in my book. The staff was friendly and just seemed to want to have a good time also, which gave it a comfortable feel. Food was good, nothing amazing, but enjoyable nonetheless. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a good time, particularly to those who want to get a little wilder at brunch."

  • "Great bartenders! You can't beat the dollar champagne brunch! Best deal in town"

  • "We go there with a large group of friends and it is uually hard to find a seat for brunch, especially if you get there past noon. However even sitting at the bar is totally worth it, the food is good and the $1 champagnes make it all just awesome. The trick is that the OJ bottles are $5 so careful with your mimosa ratio. When it's warm outside, sitting in the outdoor area can be better as it's less noisy, but you may not get waiter service. The bartender was really sweet and the owner, a very friendly guy, offered everybody s'mores at the fireplace after brunch was over. Overall one of my favorite brunc spots in dc, highly recommend but get there early or make a reservation."

  • "We went for the $1 champagne brunch and weren't disappointed. But they had to set up a two-seater table right opposite the front door for us so we stuck out very awkwardly. Could do with more space or a better reservation system."

  • "This place was fantastic. I love going here, but the only concerning part that is preventing me from returning for a while, was I saw a Rat run from the downstairs closet, across the floor into the kitchen. So until they can guarantee this to be avoided in the future, I won't be returning for a while."

  • "I arrived to an empty restraunt where the host told ushe was going to "set a clock" on my group arriving or we would not be seated. He stood DIRECTLY in front of me as I called our missing memebers. He was shockingly unstartling and rude. Once we were seated, we noted the lack of heat. Also, the pipes were frozen, so we were directed to a different restroom to wash up. Our waitress was very pleasant, funny, and accomidating though. But, the final straw was finding a looooong black hair in the food. Two members of the group felt too ill to eat due to this situation. While management attempted to make the issue better for the diner with the hair in her food, he did not realize another member of our group left his entire plate empty"

  • "Group of 10 people planned to go to nice restaurant in area, after Irish Christmas Carol @ Keegan Theatre. Choice of 3 Irish places in area, chose Irish Whiskey, because took reservations in dining on football Sunday. Made reservations through Open Table, received a reminder confirmation morning of the event. Considered taking a chance on first choice restaurant however, since I had received reminder morning of, respected this. When we arrived at restaurant at 4:55 p.m., the Bartender stated that dining room had been closed & waitress sent home by the manager. She made room in the bar area, which was very loud & uncomfortable for our group. Food was horrible. Bartender great though, tried to make the best of of a very bad situation."

  • "There are a lot of "gastropubs" in DC but this one actually surprised me with the quality of food. The truffle pretzel bites were AMAZING. Amazing. And the mac and cheese was loved by both of my friends. I had the fish and chips which, is hard to make remarkable but definitely was here. The other great thing, which is hard to find in DC was the service. The bartender/ host/ waiter made me a lemonade even though it wasn't on the menu (it was great) and was attentive but not too much. That was the lunch review but, I've also been here for Happy Hour and late night when it's pretty busy. The ambiance is great, especially upstairs, there's always people outside no matter the weather, and the bartenders are friendly and cool."

  • "Great spot for brunch. We went there to celebrate after the Marine Corps Marathon. The food was fast but delicious and the waiter was on top of our needs. The manager also checked on us several times to make sure we were happy. Strongly recommend this place for a great Sunday."

  • "The food and brunch is great. The service on the other hand could be improved. The server seemed like he didn't want to be there and was rude at times. Also, adding the tip in is a sure way to only make that much - most would tip more."
