I was visiting from out of town and happy to find a large table for brunch in dc. You can't beat the dollar champagne deal, but it felt like a distraction for poor service. We waited more than an hour for our food. Not the best experience, but I appreciate that they did not rush us out, and I got to spend time with friends I hadn't seen in a while. I recommend it if you are looking for a place to have a leisurely brunch with a big group, just don't come too hungry.

I've been here numerous times, and have always enjoyed myself! You cannot beat the $1 champagne brunch! The food is good, the ambiance is great, the service is...in need of some improvement. Every time I've been to IW, we get this one waiter that seems to be cranky and takes forever to bring us simple things like water. Nonetheless, I definitely recommend IW to anyone, a guaranteed good time! Also, it's best to make a reservation if you're coming with a large group.

A fun find and tasty food at brunch with friends! Pancakes were excellent - - just the way pancakes should be...light and fluffy. The corn beef hash was full of flavor and the "deal" on champagne at brunch made finding the restaurant a real treat.

I went here for my birthday dinner and we were a group of 12. The wait staff was slow getting to us (felt like a year before I got to put a drink order in) but was friendly when they eventually came. I've been here before for brunch and had much better service. I enjoyed the fish and chips as well as one of their whiskey cocktails.

We live in the suburbs but were in DC overnight on a Sunday. We wanted somewhere casual with good food and good service . This pretty much fit the bill, but I felt like we were interrupting a members only club. It was awkward so we ate quickly and left. Will chalk it up to a Sunday afternoon at a bar/resturant that is great on other nights or for brunch.

There's no denying that the champagne deal is incredible. Unfortunately that's about all I found incredible on my last trip to IW. The service was horrible. We ordered our food THIRTY minutes after being seated and waited another TWO HOURS to be served the food. When we went to get check if our food was done we found the cook hanging out at a table and nearly everyone else gone because brunch was over. I mean really how long does it take to make pancakes and eggs?

Well I can't rate the food as we never got to eat. We made a reservation on Open Table. I had the confirmatory email. We found no hostess. A server we finally flagged down simply said "I am sorry we have no tables down here and there is a private party upstairs." We went elsewhere for dinner.

Well, I do love a $1 bottle of champagne. Especially when most places sell the same quality for $7 a glass. They did get my order wrong and were a little slow to seat us, but we were a big, boysterous group and they tolerated us very well.

Absolutely amazing brunch spot, and the fact that it's offered Saturday and Sunday makes it even better. I had a party of 7 and we were able to sit outside since we got in early at 1030. The brunch special is a $1 bottle of champagne per every entree. My friends and I had a great time and everyone's food turned out great. The saddlebags were the biggest crowd pleaser. My only complaint was the service was a little slow, but it was understandable since the place went from empty to full in about thirty minutes. As long as we had a full bottle of champs on our table, we were good to go. Definitely will be coming back again.

Mediocre food. All three people got their orders wrong in some way - both omelets came with whatever the cook felt like putting in them rather than what we requested, and my eggs benedict didn't come for almost 25 minutes after the omelets. The waitress was all over the place, didn't explain why the orders were wrong, didn't offer to fix it, didn't explain why the food was so slow in arriving, and didn't even bring over anything to munch on while we waited. She comped the champagne - which is literally one dollar.

You cant beat this place. The food was delicious, I ordered the eggs benny, and my girlfriend got a gigantic omelet. My only complaint was that the home fries were really salty, but that's nothing that cant be cured with some ketchup. Also, the champagne was only $1! A croft of orange juice was 5, but we made it last through a number of champagne bottles. Fantastic food and cheap drinks, great place to bring friends for Sunday brunch.

Brunched here on a friend's recommendation and to verify if the $1 bottle of champagne was real. It was! My friend and I were able to have 3-4 mimosas each. Drinks aside, the food was great. I ordered the eggs benedict - a bit salty but still yummy. My friend ordered french toast which was very filling. It was crusted in some type of crunchy stuff which I liked but a little tough for to chew. Our server was really great about having the kitchen prepare the dish without the coating. Tasted amazing! Timely seating, great server, food was decent (they could do better with the home fries - some onions, peppers, something!) and the bubbly was just enough of a buzz for a Sunday afternoon!

I ate at Irish Whiskey Public House on a business trip to DC. It was raining ("It was a dark and stormy night..."), but inside the pub had a warm, friendly feel. The bar tender doubled as wait staff for the tables across from the bar. He was very busy and it was a little hard to get his attention, but he was friendly and welcoming. The food (I had a hamburger and fries) was very good. Portions were ample without being too large. I also had a salad and desert. All were very good.

The food was average at best. The pancakes are dry and they don't have real maple syrup. The waitstaff was friendly but not attentive. We went for brunch and ordered coffee as soon as we sat down. The waiter returned a few minutes later to tell us that the coffee would take a few minutes because the bartender was late and he was the only one who knew how to operate the coffee machine. We never got our coffee and the waiter did not mention it again. With all the great brunch options in DC, I would not recommend trying Irish Whiskey.

Their brunch deal with "not" bottomless is on it's game. It's a little small from what we could see, the food was okay, but the server kept our glasses full and the food didn't take long at all. Would be great to sit outside but inside was great to watch a game and relax. The crowd there was already having a great time

We stopped there Easter morning. The environment was casual and friendly. Old wood pulleys made interesting light fixtures. We also like the houndstooth wall treatments. For $1 extra, our table got a bottle of champagne so we had Mimosas. Keith was our waiter. He was engaging and you can tell he enjoys his job and welcomes the connections with customers. He really added to the experience. Thanks for a nice brunch.

$1 champagne bottles with every entree ordered is an amazing deal. Orange juice carafes are $5 each, which isn't on the menu and they don't tell you till you've ordered them. The food is nothing great, but it's not overpriced, which is nice. However, our food took a full hour to come out, which was probably the most frustrating part of our experience.
