Diner Reviews
  • "Went with a large group and was very informal brunch in Irish bar.,"

  • "We had reserved for a group and were seated by the door- cold air blowing in so we had to keep getting up to shut the door. Server was very busy and tough to catch his eye for refills. Soccer fans near bar were shouting and cheering loudly. Fine for our purposes but if you want to hear each other sit in another room away from the bar. Great Sunday buffet and cozy decor"

  • "We have found Four Courts to be a great choice for casual dining on an Friday or Saturday night, when we usually take a break from cooking at home. They take reservations, the food is really quite good, not what I would call "pub grub". Fresh ingredients, and things come hot and well-prepared and seasoned. One of us is a burger person, and you can't go wrong with that, but I often get the night's special... love lamb, and fish, both good here. They have two very good chicken entrees that my husband likes, and the fish and chips is a winner. The place is definitely popular, and crowded on weekend nights, but has a fun vibe, although noisy. Service is good, in spite of the crowd. There is often live entertainment, starting at 9 pm."

  • "We had a great dinner and drinks at this traditional Irish pub. We were seated next to the fire place that was a little more intimate. Perfect for a post Valentine's day dinner."

  • "Terrific place to catch a soccer game, and the "go-to" place for several DC/Arlington-area supporters clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham."

  • "If you are looking for an authentic Irish restaurant in the DC area, then this is the place! The menu is off the chart, the food is out of this world, service, ambience.... Need I say more ~ this is the place!!"

  • "Good food. Classic Irish Pub Atmosphere. Reasonable Prices. A Neighborhood Standby."

  • "We have been trying fish and chips at different area restaurants, and these hit the spot! The batter is light and tasty, almost like tempura batter, and the cod fish is firm and mild flavored. On Tuesdays, the plate is $9.95 and you get three big pieces of fish and a plate full of fries. Our other order was a Reuben sandwich, which was good, but we prefer plain rye rather than marbled rye. If you like Irish brown bread, order some when you order your drinks. It is the real thing. It is served with several other dishes, but I like to have it as an appetizer. The noise level was quiet because we were there in mid-afternoon."

  • "Let me begin by saying I love Ireland's Four Courts. Great atmosphere and the food is usually very good. However, this past Sunday we went for brunch and I have to say it missed on so many marks. I give them a high mark because we all have our bad days, but I hope the managers take this serious. We ordered the eggs benedict, which we have had in the past and, other than mine, felt they were just about the best in the area. Not Sunday. The eggs were overdone, the canadian bacon was wafer thin, the muffin was cold and the hollandaise was flavorless. You missed on all marks. I will go back, but if I were a first time customer, I would be weary about making such a decision. Here's to ramping it up back up in 2014."

  • "I've done dinner, drinks, brunch, lunch at Ireland's Four Courts over the past 10+ years and can't think of a negative experience. The staff from bartenders to waiters to bus boys are always outgoing and polite and you can always rely on them to have a game on. My most recent visit was for lunch and it didn't disappoint. The food, for me, has never been something to write home about. I had a burger with fries and it was good, as expected, but just a burger. The fries were delicious and the beer was cold. If you want something quick and low-key, I'd recommend this place (and also their other locations) for a visit any time of day."
