  • "Wonderful from our first step in the door. Our waiter provided great service without hovering. I love this restaurant serves water without ice, too! Not a typical pasta only Italian menu either. Quite a variety with complex to simple choices. I had the ravioli and was quite surprised at the quality and quantity. There were actual pieces is chicken in them - not that finely ground stuff you can't really taste you find so often. The sauce was rich without smothering. There were so many ravioli I took half home and had a generous serving for lunch ghe next day. I will definitely go back more often!"

  • "We have eaten here a number of times and this one met our expectations for service and food. The restaurant can be a bit noisy when full but that is my only comment on he downside. I had the vegetarian lasagne. I am gluten free and although other restaurants do some pastas this places makes their own I believe and getting a sheet style dish like lasagne was special. "

  • "This was a restuarant that took me back to Brooklyn, with old fashioned, well prepared Italian cooking. We were served abundant portions, heated bread with humus-- garlic and it was fairly priced. The service was very good but the noise level was at times a bit intrusive. However, given the mean age of their diners, it probably made little difference. Looking forward to a return visit only at an earlier dinner hour to avoid the din of conversational sound and try other items on the menu."

  • "We were provided many gluten free options by caring, friendly wait staff. What we tried was delicious, especially the catch of the day. A generous serving of well prepared and presented Pacific cod on a bed of perfectly done veggies and gluten free home made orzo. We shall return!"

  • "We dined Wed night, on April 9 with a Groupon for $25 and told the waiter we were dining with a Groupon and presented it when we sat down at the table and gave it to him with our payment. After we left the restaurant, we realized that the waiter had not taken off the $25 from the bill, but had instead taken our $20 tip and our $25 discount and pocket it for himself. We have left two messages with the restaurant and they haven't returned our phone calls."

  • "Not our first rodeo there, so to speak..food was excellent as always that's why we come back even though it's a trek for us from Hillsboro, but way to loud had to shout to have any conversation, so a bit disappointed by that. Live guitarist was wonderful but once again too loud to enjoy him. We're still big fans and will return and recommend to all! PS the online reservations ask what the occasion is if any and we always put what it is,birthday etc., but never an acknowledgement to us about it..so curious, whats the interest for?? ~Cheers"

  • "Great restaurant! We had a wonderful server and the food was amazing. Their homemade pasta was excellent. My only complaint was there was a guy playing guitar, it was beautiful music, but he was plugged into an amp which in such a small restaurant was extremely loud, we would have been able to hear him just fine without the amplification. The food was worth it though!!!!"

  • "We began the meal by sharing the gnocci special; it was made with a cheese sauce that was really spectacular. For entrees, we had the pasta with sauce and the ravioli special. The portions are very generous for the price, so we both had to take a box home. (We were very happy to take some home, as we got to extend our great meal for another day.)"

  • "I think Iorio serves some of the best homemade pasta in Portland. The sauces are terrific and very reminiscent of old Italy. The menu isn't huge but what is on it is prime. I would have given Iorio 5 stars if it wasn't for the high noise level. But I have to say that it is happy noise...people enjoying good food, good wine and good company."

The lamb Ragoot is memorable and the fish and ravioli were perfect. Both my husband and love this restaurant and we plan to go back frequently."

  • "Iorio is a great little restaurant for any occasion. The house made pasta is always perfectly cooked. On this visit, the kitchen had a slightly heavy hand with the salt in the sauce for the clam pasta, but it was still delicious. We never miss the cornmeal crusted calamari dish - it is perfection. The cocktails are always well made and there is a nice selection of wine by the glass. The servers are very friendly and the service is efficient. It remains on our regular rotation."

  • "I took my husband here for his birthday as he loves Italian and we wanted to try someplace new. The space was cool, nothing fancy but perfect for us. Our server was awesome - he was really positive, upbeat, new his information, etc. We each ordered pasta dishes that were good (not mind blowing) but good. We did not like the wine we opted for (Barbera) which was a bummer. I think if I lived in the neighborhood this would be a total gem and great place for a nice meal out. I am not sure it is so much of a destination spot but I would definitely try it again if in the area."

  • "We have been to Iorio's multiple times and are always pleased. The service is sufficiently attentive without being obtrusive. The menu is updated and has lots of variety. Even with all my dietary restrictions, I always find several things to choose from. Many items are offered in a gluten free version, and don't suffer at all from the substitutions. The restaurant is quiet enough that I can hear my friends at the other end of the table."

Inventive seasonal dishes pair nicely with standard favorites (be sure to try the foccacia with butternut squash & roasted garlic spread - only $3!). It's not an issue for me, but they offer many gluten-free selections. Very kid-friendly too. Whether visiting for a special occasion or just a dinner out, you will not be disappointed!"

  • "We tried Iorio recently. Our waiter was friendly, although the service was slow. I had the beet salad. The dressing and the greens were good, although the beets were sliced pretty thin. We then had vegetable lasagna and Fresine. While we appreciated the gluten free options, the food was fine, but not so good that we would come back for more. The restaurant is loud. It was difficult to have a conversation with someone sitting across the table."

  • "We started with the calamari, which is unique and very tasty. My spouse ordered a pizza and I had the frezine (fresh pasta) and meatballs. Both were really great. We wanted to order the chocolate chip cookies (best in town), yet we were too full from the meal. The wines we ordered were very good with the food. Overall, it was a great evening."
