Available for lunch, brunch or dinner for a maximum of 40 guests, we provide luscious food in an inviting room of cherry wood and warm colors. For parties of 40 to 60, enjoy sitting on our mezzanine level for semi private dining under the beautiful paintings of opulent pears, plums and peaches by artist Laura Parker. Menus are designed to showcase the freshest seasonal produce and local ingredients. Our wine list is carefully crafted to compliment your feast. The entire restaurant is available for parties of 60 -150. Whether you are celebrating a baptism, bar mitzvah, birthday, wedding or anniversary, Insalata’s will help you create a memorable event.

Our goal at Insalata's has always been to bring luscious Mediterranean food, gracious service and a warm atmosphere to our diners. For over 15 years we have shared this experience of intimate dining and joyful celebrations in a variety of ways. First and foremost as a fine dining restaurant with our beautiful private Siena room in which to sit and relax and enjoy a meal. We also offer take out dining for those days when time is of the essence, or catered affairs where we bring great food and staff into your home or venue. Our guests have become family and we have grown together in the community in which we all live and work. Everyone at Insalata's is extremely proud to be a part of this extended "village" family.   • "I've been in the area for 9+ years and I've eaten at every decent restaurant in San Anselmo, EXCEPT Insalata's and not sure why. Boy, we were pleasantly surprised and dumbfounded when we realized what we've been missing all these years. The ambience was lovely - high ceilings, low volume of noise. The wine list was extraordinarily affordable - it was actually cheaper to buy a bottle than 2 glasses per person. And the meal was outstanding. I ordered the Syrian Fatoush Salad and my boyfriend stole it from me. We loved it so much we desperately searched the internet and found it. Yay! My Salmon and vegies were cooked to perfection. We are coming back toute suite!"

This last visit, the starter was melon salad with a goat cheese and prosciutto toast--perfect pairing! Firm, fresh seabass with herbs and a yummy Mediterranean quinoa and pumpkin seed pairing, and peach shortcake for dessert, with two half-glasses of wine for $33. Such a deal!! Comfy chairs, cool room, attentive service. We can't wait to go back!"

  • "We enjoyed a birthday brunch for my daughter, here. Three adults plus a quiet baby. The Eggs Benedict & grapefruit juice: fantastic. Cornmeal pancakes: good but needed far more lemon sauce and maple syrup. There were only two other tables with guests and there were two wait-staff working and at least one bus-person. The waitress was nice, but inattentive to our basic needs. When we ordered, we said we would be sharing the pancakes. When served, we were not offered a clean plate to help distribute food nor was there even one spoon on our table with which to manage the food. The waitress disappeared for long periods and we had to flag her down to get a spoon, hot water for tea and syrup. Insalata's is a favorite--usually much better."

Dinner was the lamb which was amazing , even the left overs the next day were delicious. The only thing that bothered me was the bright lights. Usually it's lit very nicely but that night way too bright."

You've got to go!"). Are we glad we did. Our meal was wonderful. Five stars fantastic. I don't often get excited about chicken but when I asked our server for a recommendation, I took him up on his suggestion. It was *the* best chicken I've ever eaten. Seriously. Not sure I could have ever imagined chicken with cumin, yogurt, green olives, chick peas, and roasted fennel rising to become the topic of a gushing review but it was really was fantastic. If you're thinking about going to Insalata's, all I can say is "You've got to go! You've got to go!""

They were not told it was my birthday but the server saw a birthday card being opened. She magically and discretely appeared with chocolate dessert with a candle, after the check had been paid.
