A word from Inn on the Twenty
On The Twenty was envisioned as a place where Niagara's food and wine bounty could be presented in an innovative and inspiring way. We aim to deliver freshness and sophistication to meals that will harmonize well with the wines of Cave Spring and its colleagues in this unique wine region. Where possible, we focus on fresh regional produce that our neighbours grow here in Niagara. Our location was decided on by Leonard Pennachetti who, when looking for a building with a great cellar, happened upon the old Jordan Wines building. The building in which the restaurant is located dates back to the 1830s. The addition of the terrace, restaurant, meeting space, gardens, and many retail boutiques have totally changed the character of both the building and this end of historic Jordan Village. All in all, Jordan Village makes a great destination for a day trip, special event, or a romantic getaway. It is our privilege to enjoy Jordan everyday, we would love to share it with you.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "It's been a couple of years since we've visited the Inn on the Twenty. On previous visits we'd been blown away by the quality of the food. Today's offerings were very good, although admittedly not up to our memory. (there were no surprises) Loved the beef carpaccio appetizer; nicely balanced flavours. Wine pairings with each course were excellent. Really enjoyed the mini-cheesecake (with salted caramel) dessert."

  • "Dinner at inn on the twenty was great. Excellent food and wine list. Wine list was very affordable when compared with many Toronto restaurants. The atmosphere was elegant but relaxed as well. Will definitely be returning."

  • "We often chose Inn on the Twenty for special occasions, since we can count on a wonderful, creative menu, beautiful setting, and a peaceful, low-key clientele. This time was no exception. The food was outstanding, the service was terrific, and the evening as a whole was perfect. Thanks -- once again -- to Inn on the Twenty for a great dinner."

  • "We drove in from Mississauga to bring a friend to this restaurant. Loved the service, the food... We brought out kids and instead of being unwelcome, they were totally accommodating. We had the lamb, salmon, and duck. The food was impeccable, fresh, so flavourful. We will definitely be returning!"

  • "Although the menu for lunch seemed a little uninspired, we were so wrong when the food came. Beautifully presented and brilliantly prepared we all will definitely be returning. The aimbence and setting were great and the serving staff experienced, cheerful, humerous and attentive all making this a great birthday celebration."

  • "Inn on the Twenty was recommended by a friend and it hit all the checks - great ambiance, beautiful scenic views, excellent (but not intrusive) service, respectable wine list and deeply satisfying food. I highly recommended Inn on the Twenty on your next trip out to Jordan."

  • "Have been there a number of times and always come away very very pleased. I'm glad there are changes to the menu, each time I've tried something different and enjoyed every dish. Presentation, and attention to detail perfect."

  • "This was the fourth time for us at the Inn on the Twenty, but a very disappointing experience compared to the first three. The restaurant had changed a lot - and a lot to the worse. It had lost its charm, the tables were bare and when we entered someone was mopping right in the middle of the dining hall. The service was slow - we had to wait more than one hour for the food, even though the restaurant was half empty. The waiter was very passionate in explaining the special desert, but 15 minutes after we ordered it he came back to tell us that it was no longer available. Overall, a very disappointing experience and we didn't know how to explain this to our friend whom we had invited and presented it as a very nice restaurant."

  • "We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Inn on the Twenty this weekend for our anniversary and were tempted to head into Niagara On The Lake for dinner but were told about how great their restaurant was and we were not disappointed. Located just across the street from the Inn, the location, ambience, and service were only outdone by the food. Beautifully presented, with many locally grown ingredients, our food was full of delectable surprises. Save yourself the drive to Niagara on the Lake and stop in at Jordan Village for dinner at the Inn on the Twenty."

  • "A perfect spot in a lovely town. Food is superb. Tables quite close together so annoying when you get seated next to noisy neighbours who insist on conversing at full volume."

  • "We missed seeing Paul, Bryan or Patty as we have always had one of them for our special occasion visits. Exemplary service was their forte. This time we had a male seat us and take our orders and a female served the food. Unfortunately neither one of them introduced themselves so I can't give you their names. We missed having linens on the tables as in previous years. It just sets a higher bar for your dining experience. The wine menu read 2012 Riesling and we got a bottle marked 2011 which really doesn't matter to us but it would to some patrons. We both ordered soup and I order a salad too. I ate my soup by myself and then she brought me the salad and my wife her soup. The soup should have been served together. If not sure ask."

  • "On our way to Toronto, we stopped at Jordan Village to have lunch at Inn on the Twenty. What a lovely lunch we had sitting outside looking over Main Street. It is very quaint and a hidden treasure for those that like to go a little off the beaten path to explore. I would definitely recommend Inn on the Twenty to whoever is in the area of Jordan Village. • "My husband and I had our first official date at Inn on the Twenty on the May long weekend give years ago. To celebrate being together 5 years we dined there this past May long weekend. Still as fabulous and decadent as we remembered! The beet salad was a work of art, and tasted as good as it looked. Also enjoyed the espresso martini. Everything was perfect, food, wine, ambience and staff! "

  • "The food was good but not amazing to the point that it was justified to the pricing. The dinner menu was very very limited but the items we choose for dinner were good. The menu items do not need to be 5pages long but they should have diversity. The steak was fantastic, the duck was good but not amazing the flavor was that of bacon which would be fine if I had of paid the price for bacon rather then duck. The atmosphere was very lovely and romantic. "

  • "after an afternoon at the Shaw and a hilarious show - we went back to Cave Springs Store, The Gallery and noised around until dinner. The food was lovely, beautifully presented and they were happy to make 2 presentations when we shared appies. We had fish, pork and steak and all loved our meals. It was lovely and a great evening."

  • "Was recently back at Inn on the Twenty and my second time around was not as stellar as the first. Mostly on the service front. The kitchen seemed to be pretty backed up as it took 15 minutes from the time our server told us the food was being plated for the food to actually show up at the table. Had to send a mojito back because it wasn't up to snuff. However, restaurant GM was very receptive to feedback and rectified the situation. I would return again because my first experience was stellar and because they handled my situation in a very professional manner. Desserts here are a must. And the wine is always fabulous! "

  • "Great dinner at Inn on the Twenty. I had the char, which was generous portion, with a beet galette, the flavors all melded together wonderfully. My husband had the duck and said it was one the best hes ever had, and the spatzle was fantastic. Dessert was a must!"

  • "We have been to On The Twenty six times - and each time it has been great. Our Easter Sunday dinner was another great dining experience. It has been more than 5 years since our last visit and On The Twenty is still a sure bet for the complete dining experience. If you are in wine country, definitely put On The Twenty on your must try list. "

  • "We are very experienced world travellers and have eaten in some of the best 5 star restraunts. My Wife and I arrived on a Saturday Night with a business associate. I had requested a window table, but told non available, although after beeing seated we saw 2 tables that could have been pushed together to make 4 places. Next to our table were two large parties who spent the evening in raucus conversation, walking around with drinks or food in their hands and continuously taking flash photos. Restraunt management allowed this, Our server was very good, food was good, wine overpriced. Definately will not return. "

  • "It was a first for my husband and I and we had friends from Montreal with us. Everyone enjoyed their food. The restaurant is very nice and we had a great view of a wooded area in the back. The service was really good and we enjoyed everything about our lunch. Definitely a place to try if you haven't already."

  • "Been many times since this restaurant opened, only rarely for lunch. The 2012 reserve Chard from Cave Springs works. I ordered the 3 course special, started with the apple-parsnip soup. Upon our request, the kitchen split one order in two small bowls - very good. I had the trout, cooked perfectly, and the accompanying starch and veggies were a tasty treat, well suited to the fish and not overpowering. Partner had the scallops, and she was very impressed. I had the lime cheesecake dessert wrapped up to take home - wife said it was fantastic. All the staff were great. The friendly demeanor and hospitality of the bar tender/server when I arrived was outstanding and set the tone for the rest of the lunch. On the Twenty needs to keep that guy."

  • "Had a lovely lunch with my husband who was off work on holidays. One would have thought that a Tuesday would be a slow day for most restaurants but On the Twenty was busy, so we didn't feel we were sitting alone in an empty dining room. The service was attentive and the food was really good. We will return!"

  • "We drove to Jordan in the terrible snowstorm on our way to Niagara on the Lake. We were greeted warmly and had the restaurant to ourselves and had a wonderful lunch watching the snow swirl around outside. Just a great respite from the winter weather. The food was marvelous."

  • "Our go to place when we visit the Niagara area for a special occasion. The ambience is always excellent, the food superb and Don Dyson and his staff some of the most knowledgeable and professional in the business. In our opinion there is no finer restaurant in the Niagara Peninsula and ranks among our top10 ever list."

  • "We had an 8 course tasting menu, and the accompanying flights of wine. Most of the food was excellent. Most dishes had great contrast in texture, and balance of flavour. Having said that, the Arctic Char Sashimi course was a bit under seasoned. A touch of salt and a bit of acid would have gone a long way. The Foie Gras appetizer was outstanding. It was accompanied by crushed pralines for texture, which added a wonderful crunch instead of the same old, same old, toasts. The only two week points in our meal was the Granita which was watery, tasteless, and lacked the necessary acid to be a pallet cleanser. The other disappointment was the Chocolate Tart and Raspberry Sorbet dessert. It was good, but not worthy of such a spectacular meal."

  • "We had a great romantic dinner at Inn on the Twenty. Was such a contrast with another recent night out at a similar price point. The ambiance was lovely, the server was attentive, fun but not intrusive. The food was delicious. We tried two appetizers (tuna and shrimp) and two mains (beef and quail), one from the special menu that evening. Great presentation, great flavor. Would go back in a heart beat. Only thing I would do to make it better is increase the lighting around the parking lot signs - we had a little trouble finding our way in."
