ink.Outsatnding and creative! Both food and service were outstanding. Amazing flavors/combinaison and very well executed.
Best meal in a long time. Very happy I finally get to try INK!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMroom was nearly empty so weroom was nearly empty so we had great service and the food was delicious! good time by all and will return for sure!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSpectacular as alwaysGreat food, great drinks, perfect for a celebration.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat for celebration4 of us went for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful time. The chef and owner won top chef and was there working and greating his guests. He as warm and friendly. Everyone who worked there was also the ame. They were warm, friemdly.knowledgable. john our waiter was exuberant about describing the food but the servers who delivered th dishes also took a moment to describe the dishes as each tapa was uniquely made. We spent 3 hours tasting food.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFoodYes, just Food. Or, alternatively, Drink. Ink likes to keep things simple when assigning names to its dishes and drinks. The outstanding Bourbon cocktail (with Campari, Cocchi Americano Rosa, chocolate bitters and strawberry lambic) was a highlight, as were several of the dishes we ordered - notably the aspagus, lamb's neck and octopus. The suckling pig was a bit too rich and the hamachi was fine but not especially memorable. The Handsome coffee had a cool, "Breaking Bad" style presentation (much like Intelligentsia used to do), but the result was a rather thin cup - though it did serve as a nice accompaniment to our terrific shared dessert, the wild mountain yam (deliciously smooth and custardy) with vanilla ice cream and coconut sorbet.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AM2nd time thereService and hospitality is excellent.
Avocado is awesome.
Suckling Pig-not so much.
Pricey,
Dont come starving.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMCuttlefish that seems like PastaThis trendy hotspot had fabulous food. The most memorable was the surprisingly the cuttlefish. I could have sworn this was a pasta dish. Other favorites include the egg yolk gnocchi, the lollipop kale (w/ pigs ear), corn and branzino. I also loved the suckling pig and short ribs. The small plates make it possible to try lots of things!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, creative foodInk is hands down one of my favorite restaurants to dine at in la. Every dish here is creative and presented beautifully. The flavors for each dish complement each other really nicely. Not a single thing on here is bad. I've tried every food item on the menu except for 5 dishes and my favorites are still the beef tartare, lollipop kale, lamb neck, and apple dessert. For drinks, The cocktail menu is tasty and exciting. Gabby is a wonderful mixologist!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA must for Top Chef fansThis was such a great experience for my girlfriend and I. She is a huge Top Chef fan. I surprised her with a trip to Ink. When she saw Chef Michael Voltaggio, she could not contain her excitement. The food was amazing and priced very well. The service was excellent and the waitress took the time to answer all the questions we had. She was very knowledge about how the food was prepared and what ingredients went into each dish. We were there for dinner on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. I would go back with out a doubt.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food. Really greatExcellent food. Really great service. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFantasticInk is great-creative small plates, great service, well-designed space. Would definitely come here again. I was part of a group of 5 and we shared plates all around. The standout items for me were the egg-yolk gnocchi, the kale lollipops, beef tartare and the smoky apple dessert.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMModern food, fun atmosphere, priceyModern preparations that are delightfully adventurous for the casual diner; sophisticated yet laid back and fun crowd; fun for a night out with friends; small plates which are great if you want to try several and share with all; can get pricey and filling though so order less than you think and then add more as you go. Definitely start with a cocktail and finish with dessert! Wine servings are generous!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMdefinitely worth a tryMy husband and I had the oysters, asparagus, egg yolk gnocchi, black cod, the apple dessert & a glass of wine each. The bill was $120.
The oysters & apple dessert were fantastic, amazing and worth driving across town for.
The black cod was as it usually is - very yummy - and the accompanying vegetables were great. The asparagus was good at first but it's impossible to eat before the whole thing becomes a melted mess. Kind of silly. The egg yolk gnocchi flavor were good but the texture was chewy, gummy. Not nice. Even at these prices we both left a bit of the asparagus and gnocchi dishes unfinished on our plates.
Service was wonderful. I would go back to try some other dishes and to eat those oysters and apple dessert again.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic foodPlates are meant to be shared, which makes ordering fun. Food is over-the-top delicious. Might not be great for kids. Servers very friendly and knowledgeable.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe chef is not only a trueThe chef is not only a true artist, he was the most gracious host ever!4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic. We had a hard timeFantastic. We had a hard time choosing what to order - everything sounded delicious. Will be back to try the things we didn't get to.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was as spectacularThe food was as spectacular as I expected from the recommendations and reviews. The presentation is off the chart!!! The oyster presentation looks like a piece of art. I loved the lamb neck dish and even my non lamb eating friends were helping themselves to the potato basket. The branzino and cod were also delicious! In between our squeals of delight, I managed to drink a couple delicious Moscow Mules that were chilled to perfection! The desserts were also incredible and they accommodated my gluten free friend! Even the coffee was superior in presentation and taste. We ate and drank more than ever and I found our bill to be extremely reasonable for the variety and quantity. The only disappointing element was our rude waitress.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMLove ink! Food and serviceLove ink! Food and service was excellent. Loved the casual atmosphere and that you can get great food without the pretentious atmosphere.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe very best food in LosThe very best food in Los Angeles at this time. He did not disappoint. The food and service were both top rate - the only caution I can provide is that you'll probably order too much food as everything sounds so good. The upside of this is that most everything is even better than it sounds!4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWent for the food, very surprisedWent for the food, very surprised by the great service. The menu changes frequently, so it's good to go in with an open mind and not have your heart set on something posted on Yelp.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was phenomenal! The food was phenomenal! Great service with knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. I will definitely be returning to this gem.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is my second visit toThis is my second visit to Ink and I must say that I still love the place! I went with a group of 6 people and we ordered 6 different dishes, two of everything to share. Also we added 2 different desserts to share on top of that. Two bottles of wine, about 6 cocktails later and our bill was complete. It was worth every penny and I am determined to make it back again! MV's menu is so amazing with presentation, flavor and surprise factors! We loved it all and were very happy with our visit! Thanks MV! The only disappointment was that he wasn't working that night, but I guess I can't have everything =)4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMour favorite restaurant inour favorite restaurant in LA and one of our favorites anywhere in the world! I wish the somalier would have paid us a visit but you live and you learn. Our waitress was pretty fantastic but could have offered us more a reasonable few suggestions rather than going straight for the $160-$250 wines...4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible food, impeccableIncredible food, impeccable service. We'll be back.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGlad we avoided the firstGlad we avoided the first wave of accolades when it 1st opened as we were pleasantly surprised and happy to have another spot to frequent.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic, adventurous menuFantastic, adventurous menu executed to perfection.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was outstanding,The food was outstanding, the staff was super knowledgeable and the atmosphere was cool without being pretentious or overtly hipster. Do be careful and make sure to mix the sweet with the savory in your order. We ordered perhaps one too many savory dishes, and couldn't finish the last two, as our tongues were on salt overload. Great ambiance, friendly staff, great fizzy drinks for us non-wine drinkers. I would come here again in a heartbeat. Their homemade Doritos are amaze ballz.
Way better than Taco Bell!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food and superb service.Amazing food and superb service. My favorite thing about this establishment other than the fine food is the tables are spaced evenly so you are not intruding on the conversations at the next table. Bravo. Very unique and creative food in a manner that is not too precious. The Egg Yolk Gnocchi was to die for with its explosion of yolk when you bite into it as well as the Cuttlefish Pasta. Tartare was excellent. The only dish I maybe wouldnt get again even though it was really cool was the Potato Charcoal (potatoes boiled in squid ink taht end up looking like black charcoal and served in a bowl w a grill on top. Very playful but ultimately too salty and heavy.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMFunkin awesomeI've worked and eaten in the best restaurants in the world......this was fuuuuuuu*****kin awesome!3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI loved Ink. Michael Voltaggio was in house and was inspecting every plate to make sure it was coming out of the kitchen properly. The service was excellent. The staff has a really great personal touch, is very informative, and they all just seem to love working there. It makes for a really great environment without an stuffiness or pretentious behavior3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe experience my family hadThe experience my family had at Ink was amazing. It was a celebration for my Dad's birthday and the best meal in memory. We were a party of four and ordered two dishes each. Along with two desserts, this was the quite satisfactory. Keep in mind the more expensive dishes toward the bottom of the menu have bigger portions. The buckwheat noodle dish with smoked cream and row was the highlight for me, but every dish was exceptional3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat cocktails and excellentGreat cocktails and excellent food and presentation!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
