  • "The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had a great gluten free experience. The kitchen timing was impeccable. The food was heavenly. The creativity in the dishes was extraordinary. Even something as simple as Oysters had added features that made them unforgettable. We shared 6 dishes and a dessert. All were delicious and I would eat every one of them again. Oysters - Amazing; Smoked Trout - smokiness amongst the insane flavors; Beef Tartare - I practically inhaled this dish, so tasty; Salt and Charcoal Potato - One of my favorites. Pacific Halibut - The fish was perfectly cooked. Pork Shoulder I could eat this dish every single day..... Michael Voltaggio deserves his Top Chef crown! Bravo"

  • "This is a place I have been dreaming about ever since I left! It was such an amazing dinner. I took my fiancé there for his birthday. Plan on spending a bit of money, but well worth it. Small plates which are meant to be shared are jam packed with flavor and presented beautifully. We ordered 6 different items and dessert as well as a few drinks!"

  • "All of the small plates were perfect! We had the hamachi, corn, gnocchi, polenta, beef cheeks, and apple dessert. We ordered cocktails when we sat down, but wanted a bottle of wine for the dinner courses. The waitress finally came back during the third course while our cocktails were completely gone since the first course. We ordered the wine and sat while she struggled to open it as our third course got cold. The other service employees (good runners, water fillers) were speedy and nice."

You order to share for the table (if you like) and it enables you to taste about 5-8 dishes for two persons. Recommended if you want to try new taste combinations in a casual setting."

  • "We had been looking forward to dining at ink for a long time, and while the food was great. Was slightly annoyed that no one bothered to mention that the air conditioner was broken. I was extremely hot and sweaty throughout my meal. And no one offered any accommodation for the discomfort or an apology. And when I mention how comfortable I was, they had there's nothing we can do attitude. At the very least my husband's drink should have been complimentary."

  • "this place is amazing. everything we ordered was great. the mix of tastes was fantastic. banana under pork. a lot of fun. the decor is understated and has hard walls, which makes the noise bounce around a lot . . . making it louder, so if you want a quiet dinner, don't go here. the bar seems to move people in & out quickly, so if you want an amazing dinner, but don't have time, stop by the bar. seems to have the requisite mixologist, but didn't try them. we want to go back, but we'll need to save our pennies. it ain't cheap. definitely good for a really special occasion, where the noise won't interfere with the celebration. fantastic food!"

  • "This was my second time dining here. Fun,Energetic with a hip feel and crowd. Excellent staff and servers who are very knowledgeable. Amazing cocktails! You will want to try everyone! the plates are perfect size to try 1-2 dishes from each part of menu and timed so as to allow to digest and choose next course and cocktail. Easy to find with valet available and fast drop off/ pickup with Uber or taxi. I highly recommend this place foe either a first date, friendly get together or celebration."

  • "We drove down from Ojai to celebrate my wifes birthday after reading it was rated number seven out of one hundred and one restaurants in Los Angeles. We are also fans of Top Chef. The food was phenomenal, and the octopus was the best my wife has ever eaten. I enjoyed the lamb belly and beef cheeks. Andrew the manager personally took care of us and the service was very attentive. We would definitely go back to try the Fried Chicken Oatmeal!"

My main criticism is of the valet parking. $7 and when we left, the stand was unattended. We waited at least 3 minutes and could easily have helped ourselves to car keys etc."

  • "Ink is absolutely incredible. Every dish is prepared and presented like a piece of art. I love sitting at the chef's counter because you can watch them masterfully creating each dish like a segment on Top Chef. You can ask them questions to gain additional insight about the dishes they're preparing which adds to the fun. The menu items are all distinctly unique, nothing looks like you expect and everything has layers of flavors. Sample and share as many dishes as you can and make sure you try their apple dessert. The presentation and flavor is worth repeating."

  • "The decor is a bit hard and could use some nice artwork. The music is a bit too loud. Who cares?! The food, served as small plates, was outstanding and the service very good. Unexpected combinations initially sounded odd and a bit off-putting. Go for it! Everything was excellent, beautifully plated and often, surprising. When eating the yellowfin tuna appetizer, I took a small bit of the raw tuna with the tonnato and pickle: incredible! I literally tasted 5 layers a flavor in that one bite! I was hooked. Each plate continued to please and surprise and I'm still thinking about the charcoal potatoes. I've eaten at Joel Robuchon's in Las Vegas and, for the money and experience, would go back to Ink first. Bravo, Michael Voltaggio!"

  • "My boyfriend & I went here for my 30th. INK is for the adventurous omnivore, with the time to enjoy course upon course of small plates. Embracing a new decade of life, I tried -among other things- the octopus with ink pasta & the lollipop kale with creme fraiche & pigs' ears(!). The risk returned on a foodie level. While on the more expensive side, the fresh flavors, creative ingredient pairings &delicious cocktails make it worth the indulgence. Probably slightly better for a double date so that you can split the bill without feeling too full by the end of the meal. I thought the restaurant's recommendation of 3 dishes per person was 1 dish too many, with some dishes richer than the menu led you to believe. You MUST order the shortrib!!!"

I under matanda the modern interiors but too much hard surfaces - the walls, the walls , the tables - noise just bounces everywhere.   • "After the initial sticker shock (chef recommends 2-3 dishes per person) we rolled up our sleeves and made the most of it -- it was our 3rd anniversary after all! I ordered the beet salad (amazing) and gnocchi (delicious but subtle flavorful) with the ginger soda to drink and he ordered the potatoes, salmon and corn (our favorite of the night) with the homemade rhubarb vanilla soda (he ordered a second, I wanted to keep one bottle and fill it with sand as a great keepsake for our trip, they wouldn't let me??) We then topped it off with the new peach/cucumber/coconut dessert, which is the best dessert I'll probably have in my life! If money was no object I'd love to go back. Amazing food."
