OpenTable Introduces Free Offers Feature for Restaurants


November 2, 2009 		SAN FRANCISCO —November 2, 2009—OpenTable, Inc. (NASDAQ: OPEN; www.opentable.com), a leading provider of free online reservations for diners and guest management systems for restaurants, today announced a new feature which gives restaurants the ability to create and promote deals or offers on their OpenTable restaurant profile page. Restaurateurs can now customize and display unique promotions and special events to entice diners to make reservations at their restaurants. This new feature is free to OpenTable restaurant customers.

“Restaurants are always looking for ways to distinguish their offering and we want to help them do that, especially during the upcoming holiday season,” said Ann Shepherd, vice president of marketing, OpenTable. “This new feature allows restaurants to highlight their special offers and discounts as a way to give diners greater incentive to choose their restaurant.”

Restaurants can use the new feature to promote wide-ranging offers, including prix fixe menus, complimentary items, percentage discounts on food or beverage, or special events. Restaurants can add up to 10 offers, set valid days and times, and indicate program start and end dates. OpenTable has created templates that allow restaurants to easily customize standard types of deals and offers, such as discounted menu items or a live musical guest.
