San Diego’s Finest Restaurants Offer Online Reservations Powered by OpenTable

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (July 24, 2001) - OpenTable, Inc. (www.opentable.com), the leading supplier of Internet-enabled customer relationship and reservation management tools to the restaurant industry, today announced that popular San Diego dining destinations including Cohn Restaurants’ Dakota Grill and Spirits, The Prado at Balboa Park, Tupelo and Blue Point Coastal Cuisine have selected OpenTable to enable guests to reserve online. Participating restaurants will also benefit from OpenTable’s software solution — the Electronic Reservation Book or ERB — which automatically builds a customer database to enable restaurateurs to easily recall guest dining histories and preferences and conduct highly-targeted marketing campaigns based on those preferences.

The Cohn restaurants will join Baleen, Chive, Donovan’s, Napa Valley Grille, Palomino, Piatti, Roy’s, Tapenade, Georges at the Cove, Azul and Donovan’s Steak House La Jolla who have also recently signed on as members of the OpenTable network. Dining consumers can search www.opentable.com by cuisine type, price range and neighborhood and get instant online confirmation of reservations. Diners can also communicate special requests to the restaurant and invite others via email using the online tools provided by OpenTable.
