ORLANDO, Florida — HITEC, Booth #156 — (June 26, 2001) OpenTable, Inc. (www.opentable.com) and Opryland Hotels, a Gaylord Entertainment Company (NYSE: GET), announced today that OpenTable will build end-to-end solutions to enhance operational efficiencies, help ensure guest satisfaction, and introduce new cost-savings strategies for the Opryland Hotel Nashville and at new locations under development in Texas and Florida.
Opryland Hotel Nashville — the largest combined hotel and convention center under one roof anywhere — has installed OpenTable’s ProHost solution in their Cascades, Ristorante Volare, Old Hickory Traditional Steakhouse and Rachel’s restaurants and determined that the solution provides significant revenue enhancements in terms of increased table turns and the ability to automate the process of sending a walk-in guest from one full restaurant to another, less crowded restaurant within the property. The Nashville property is also utilizing OpenTable’s RSViP solution to cut costs through centralized management of dining reservations and to help track guests’ dining histories and preferences to ensure maximum guest service and satisfaction at each restaurant.
“OpenTable provides numerous technology solutions that can be customized to help restaurants and hotels achieve our real business goals,” said Larry Welch, senior vice president of food and beverage, Opryland Hotels. “OpenTable’s ProHost and RSViP solutions bring our hotels numerous opportunities to cut costs while actually enhancing, rather than diminishing, the guest experience — not an easy feat in the hospitality industry.”
“Opryland Hotels are known throughout the industry for having very high standards in everything from guest satisfaction to top-tier technology solutions,” said Jeff Edwards, CEO of OpenTable, Inc. “We are delighted to have been chosen by this respected group of IT professionals to build the solutions that will help ensure they achieve their business and financial goals. We look forward to playing a significant role in Opryland Hotels’ continued growth and success.”
