Customer Support

    Technical Support Representative (San Francisco)
    Description
      The Technical Support Representative (TSR) supports OpenTable restaurant customers and web consumers by responding to various requests, questions, suggestions, and comments via phone and email.

    Responsibilities
    • Handle incoming calls and emails from customers promptly, courteously and with attention to detail.
    • Maintain customer-focus to ensure fast response times for all channels of customer communication.
    • Support requests from restaurants usually pertaining to OpenTable software, hardware or networking issues.
    • Provide training to customers on the use of OpenTable software
    • Document all phone contacts in OpenTable’s ticketing system and all email contacts in OpenTable’s email management tool

    Desired Experience

    Sr. Software Engineer, Restaurant Products Development Team (San Francisco)
    Description
      OpenTable invites exceptional engineers to join our Restaurant Products Development Team. This team is developing the next generation restaurant products. They also support existing client and server products, including our high-performance back-end server systems and the Electronic Reservation Book – Opentable’s award-winning interactive restaurant management system.

      The ideal candidate enjoys working in a highly structured and team-oriented environment that uses the Agile / Scrum methodology. They will work in close collaboration as part of a cross-functional team to produce highly-reliable and scalable systems in a production environment.

    Restaurant Operations Consultant (Montreal)
    Description
      Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, the Restaurant Operations Consultant performs both the training and installation of all OpenTable products.

    Responsibilities
    • Perform all services for a restaurant installation (averaging 3 sites per week)
    • Provide initial and follow-up training on the use of the OpenTable system
    • Assist restaurant with getting their OpenTable system connected to the Internet

    Helpdesk / IT Support Technician (San Francisco, CA)
    Description
      The Help Desk / IT Support Technician is responsible for providing laptop / desktop support to all OpenTable employees and contractors, including field specialists, sales staff, and others working from remote locations.

      Support new hire and termination processes, and related IT support functions - such as software installations, computer moves and upgrades, coaching the staff on new / existing hardware and software, PC desktop and laptop maintenance. Also responsible for planning, maintaining and managing the day-to-day operations of printers, computer and telephone systems.

    Desired Experience
    • 2 years experience working in a Windows environment
    • Post secondary education from Community College or University
    • Preference will be given to candidates with training, experience or certification in IT or networking, and previous helpdesk or call center experience
    • Experience with Ghost, BigFix, and McAfee desktop security products a bonus
    • Previous experience working in a SOX environment a plus

      BASIC FUNCTION: Accountable for managing all client relations actives.       Reporting to the Sr. Regional Manager, this position is responsible for both client acquisition and retention in the identified market.
      Client acquisition (80%): Responsible for selling the OpenTable Electronic Reservation Book to restaurant prospects in an assigned area.
