Customer Support

    Director, Customer Support (San Francisco, CA)
    Description
      Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Customer Support Director will have overall responsibility for maintaining high satisfaction for our existing customers when they require technical assistance, have questions about our service, or are providing feedback to the organization.

      Under minimal direction in the form of general objectives and financial goals, the incumbent will:

    Responsibilities
    • Provide OpenTable customers top quality customer service and technical support (email and phone)
    • Maximize the performance of an outsourced customer support partner
    • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with any service providers to the contact center
    • Put processes in place to measure key metrics and drive their improvement
    • Instill a culture of continuous process improvement and enthusiasm for delighting customers
    • Improve processes that keep restaurants online and keep restaurant data backups current

    Sr. Software Engineer (San Francisco, CA)
    Description
      As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of website and application development. Responsibilities include designing, coding, debugging and optimizing both frontend and backend components as well as internal tools. You will also need to be able to analyze requirements, and collaborate with Product, Marketing and other internal teams to ensure successful completion of projects. In addition, you must be able to communicate well and work with external customers.     Description
      Reporting to the QA Supervisor, the QA Engineer should have the tracking ability of a sleuth and analytical skills of a scientist. As any detective, the QA Engineer should be creative in hunting down software defects within a complex system and providing valuable evidence (of steps to reproduce) to help further the investigation. As an analytical scientist, the QA Engineer should use reasoned expertise to devise test plans, conduct test cases and uncover and analyze software errors.       The Senior Email Marketing Manager – will cost-effectively maximize OpenTable.com consumer email marketing programs. Operations

    Client Relations Associate (San Francisco)
    Description
      Reporting to the Senior Client Relations Associate, this person will join a telephone-based group that assumes responsibility for the restaurant relationship after system is installed. S/he will be the primary contact for restaurant customers in order to maximize customer satisfaction and drive deep utilization of OpenTable products and services. S/he will encourage restaurants to increase their online inventory, engage with the marketing tools in the OpenTable system, enable online reservations from the restaurant’s website, and participate fully in OpenTable promotions. These activities will be in both a one-to-one format as well as via online training seminars. The incumbent will also be responsible for day to day account administration whose duties include assisting restaurants with website updates, internal processing for the addition and removal of products, and account termination. This is a non-technical role. Position is based in San Francisco.

    Responsibilities
    • Reach out to restaurant partners via the telephone to train, educate, encourage, problem-solve and gather customer feedback.
    • Work with restaurants to maximize their online opportunity by improving their software configuration and engaging more fully with OpenTable’s online promotions.

    Product Manager, OpenTable Restaurant Software (San Francisco, CA)
    Description
      The Restaurant Software product manager will play a crucial role in the development of features and services related to the OpenTable Restaurant Software suite of products. S/he will work as part of a product team to define product strategy and roadmaps; collect and prioritize business and customer requirements; and measure and track success against key performance metrics.

    Sales Associate for National Accounts (San Francisco / Los Angeles / Chicago)
    Description
      Reporting in to the Director of National Accounts, the National Accounts Sales Associate will have responsibility for initiatives that increase sales productivity and shorten length to close. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Responsibilities
    • Assist with sales prospecting/research both on the phone and in-person
    • Create and distribute sales messages to restaurant prospects using traditional mailings and targeted email marketing
    • Provide general sales support to NA Director. Follow-up on leads and ensure lead handoffs when approved are handed to appropriate Account Executives successfully
    • Research key group information, keep abreast of announcements, changes in management, promotions, etc that would be relevant in sales communication
    • Work with local Client Relations team to follow-up on any added training/help with pilot locations
    • Review pilot location performance including inclusion in all promotions, links on website and voicemail, profile pictures, book maximization and similar types of initiatives

    • Possible WebEx sales discussions of our software for individual locations of larger groups (sales leads or informative software demonstrations for pilot locations)
    • Attend pilot installations when needed
    • Keep management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports
    • Organize, prepare for and attend regional tradeshows
    • Attend pilot installations and possible on-site training and/or assistance for pilot locations
    • Some travel required for market research, pilot location installations/management and various sales initiatives
    • Support OTConcierge sales efforts. Enlist and train area concierge for online booking of reservations.
