  • "Thanks for the great service and food!! And for the birthday ice cream!! "

  • "Went here for my mom's 59th birthday party. The food was unbelievably good, and while some of the previous reviews mentioned that service could be hit or miss, I found the service to be great. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely come back!! Try the gnocchi."

  • "On this trip to Industriel, I went back to what made me fall in love with the restaurant in the first place--their salads and small plates, which are much better than the sandwiches. You just need someone to share with! Kale, quinoa, and falafel make a perfect lunch for two."

  • "It's all about great ingredients here. They let the food sing. Gnocchi was the best I've ever had."

  • "Had to wait more than 30min past our reservation to be seated. The host barely greeted us when we walked in, we had to flag him down, and then disappeared. I asked for the manager but apparently the host was the owner, i felt he did a poor job of handling the front. Our server had to have us repeat our order at least 3 times and each time he kept not hearing or missing an item. After our first courses, the rest of the plates took a while to come out, I had to ask where the rest of our meal was and I'm usually asking to slow down service since I don't like to be rushed through my meals. I will have to say the staff was all very nice, just not very good at what they're doing. The food on the other hand was delicious."

  • "Industriel has a lot going for it: wonderfully prepared dishes, a funky and cool atmosphere and a pretty rockin' location on 6th and Grand in downtown LA. What dinged it for me was the nose-up attitude that I didn't appreciate. From the moment, I walked in, it was chin nods substituting for agreement and slanted eye rolls to indicate directional guidance. Really? What, do you have a rep to protect? Loose the attitude and focus on your terrific food (I had the brioche french toast at brunch and a great glass of freshly squeezed OJ, yum!) and you'll be a winner all around."

  • "Very interesting food but terrible service. They were down a waiter so we tried to be tolerant but it was ridiculous. They must have been down a busboy, too. And the "host' who was "helping" was not helpful at all. Took our order but didn't write it down and surprise - it got all messed up. They messed up the bill too and could barely explain what was wrong. Stunningly unprofessional staff. However, the food was very good. Even though our MIA waiter did tell us it was too bad we were not there a month ago before the chef changed some recipes as the old recipes were really good. WHAT??? Would like to try again with a real waiter but probably will not return - too many other good places to go. And very loud. Crowded. Upstairs better."

  • "We've dined at Industriel twice now, and both times the food has been expertly and thoughtfully prepared, and served with real style. The dining spaces upstairs and down are both comfortable and interesting, but I LOVE the upstairs, with it's speak easy clubbiness and intimate bar scene. The kale salad with white anchovies is fabulous, as are the chèvre gnocchi with mushrooms. The lamb and white bean soup (an entree) was "the best soup I've ever had," to quote my husband. This is high praise from a man whose nickname could be "Soup Boy." The small, shareable plates, such as the house pickled fresh vegetables are lovely. Desserts are both homey and complex. "Thoughtful" comes to mind for every aspect of our Industriel experience."

  • "We didn't know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised by everything about this restaurant. The servers were very good, the food was terrific. For desert we had the vanilla ice cream with honey which was to die for, They have a nice wine list and full bar. The only issue we had was that parking is a bit challenging unless your familiar with where to park for this area. We parked across Grand Ave in a underground parking lot. Worked OK once we had found it. One item to note, the address in Open Table says Grand Streeet. It should read Grand Avenue."

  • "The food was incredibly rich and the portions just right. Brought a bunch of out-of-towners and they LOVED it!"

  • "Overall, it was a good experience. The food and service was very good; however, it was a bit loud as we were there for a business meeting."

  • "The style is definitely 'industrial' and the decor unusual. From the overstuffed chairs upstairs to the honeybear bottles hanging over a tub like a chandelier, there's an air of whimsy along with a flair of warmth. The food is creative and fun and satisfying. I don't eat beef, so I was thrilled to find a French onion soup with a duck broth base! The quinoa and beet salad topped with a beautifully prepared slab of lightly cooked salmon was mouth-watering. The service staff was every bit as good as the food!"

  • "On arrival at Industriel, our party was greeted warmly and invitingly into the restaurant. They immediately made you feel comfortable and valued, and prepared you for a low-key, yet memorable dining experience. The wait staff engaged in honest conversations with us. The menu items all sounded good, but when we received our food we found them to be exceptional - properly prepared, presented well, and as advertised. Overall, we had an excellent experience at Industriel. Thanks for making our last night in Los Angeles memorable."

  • "Great food, great atmosphere... service was so-so, we were told it was a group effort with all servers, but communication wasn't apparent between servers. Get an AVIATION cocktail while there. They are so good!!!"

  • "Great downtown dining in LA. Makes you feel like you are in a New York neighborhood. Food is imaginative and all farm to table. The scene is casual, relaxed and fun. If we lived in LA we would be weekly regulars. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable in the menu and wine list."

  • "Creative menu and attentive service; lovely atmosphere. We will definitely return!"

  • "There was nothing about this restaurant to criticized. The staff was so friendly, attentive (without be overbearing), and knowledgeable. The food was interesting, unpretentious, and the flavors were exciting and refreshing. As for the decor, genius. There was so much to see, just simple decoration but so well executed. I can't wait to come back and eat again!"

  • "This restaurant is conveniently located near the Music Center. The staff is incredibly helpful and the food is delicious. Brunch was perfect. Save room for nutella cinammon coffee cake at brunch."

  • "This restaurant confirmed what the hype was all about. Everything from the decor to plate presentation to flavor was fantastic. I came here for brunch and will definitely be coming again. Very friendly and attentive staff."

  • "Industriel - I want to tell everyone and at the same time I don't. The decor is fun and fits the restaurant name. The staff is knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Went for a pre-marathon dinner and were very pleasant by our experience. Great food wish we could have tried everything on the menu. I will be back. We selected the fish - salmon and red fish both prepared beautifully moist with wonderful vegetable accompaniment. We split the cranberry cobbler a sweet and tart treat. ."

  • "Thanks to Open Table for steering me to Industriel, where my kale salad and cauliflower quiche were delicious, my Mindy's Magic Flute cocktail was everything the name suggests, and the bartender told me a pirate joke that made me laugh out loud. Highly recommended restaurant in downtown LA."

  • "I usually come here for DineLA with co-workers, but decided to bring my boyfriend so he could experience the goodness! He is quite the foodie and is an artist, so he was immediately impressed with the restaurant decor/ambience and the breadth of their lunch menu selections. We started out with the baked goat cheese & honey and -- oh my God -- I couldn't stop laughing because it was so ridiculously good. We both had sandwiches which were excellent and he couldn't get over how tasty his side salad was. Service was impeccable, as usual. I highly recommend Industriel in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Bon apetit!"

  • "Great food, great decor, great service. Not a place I would go everyday because it is pricy, but I'd definitely go back if there was an occasion for it."

  • "We could barely hear each other at the table over the din. Although the exposed ceiling is aesthetically "cool" it offers no sound absorption. This is the second time I have eaten here. I am very sensitive to salt and felt that everything was under seasoned on both visits. No salt or pepper on the table... as tends to be the trend as of late."

  • "A Saturday brunch before the theater was a treat at Industriel. Everyone love the humorous decor, the eclectic menu and the rhythmic country music. All of our dishes were well prepared and thoroughly enjoyed by all. I particularly loved my grilled Romaine salad. Looking forward to trying other treats."

  • "On the plus side we really enjoyed our entrees - the Salmon and the Lamb were both good and hearty. Definitely recommend the Shrimp Gambas small plate. The problem was with a few of the leads we ordered. The short rib croquettes and quinoa salad sounded so good on the menu, but were rather bland, especially the croquettes - no short rib flavor at all. All in all a good meal, but considering the price - feel there are better options."

  • "A charming two-story adventure in dining, located in an unassuming corner building. Excellent in all respects! Public parking in a structure across the street. Great spot for after or before the theatre."

  • "The food was fine - that's it, just fine. Fairly forgettable frankly. By the looks of the menu I thought this would be great but I was sadly mistaken. I had the crispy pork sandwich and my husband had the Industrial burger. Both average. Too much bread to meat ratio, not enough spice, fries were less than average - and either soggy or overcooked. My friend had the brioche french toast which was goo and probably the only saving grace. I assume brunch is really their forte or maybe dinner but it will be a long time before I venture downtown for average to redeem itself."

  • "We went specifically for the duck confit and confirmed my sweetie could get that on valentines day from the dinner menu. Upon arrival however we were informed valentines day had a fixed menu. Luckily the confit was being served, but the sneaky fixed price for 2 slide in was a bit questionable. Add in the fact that out server didn't mention the complimentary wine until after asking for a drink order seemed a little like a sales tactic. Loved the food! The service was super attentive and on point, but the secret service charge was also a bit of a sticker shocker.."

  • "had business lunch meeting, the restaurant went from empty to full in very short time and yet everyone was served quickly. A great find in the neighborhood."

  • "Excellent food, great value for dineLA! Such a cute setting upstairs. Downstairs was a LOT louder because the seating accommodates bigger groups"

  • "We took advantage of their DineLA menu and it was great. I had the beet soup, hangar steak, and pudding. It was all very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Definitely well worth the promotional price point. The service was great, there when you need him, gone when you don't. Good food, good service, what more do you need?"

  • "First time visiting and ambiance seemed great. Downstairs was a bit noisy but the intimate feel of our upstairs table made up for it. Server Luca was interesting and pleasant, will most likely return for him to bartend. Date ordered risotto off the DineLA menu and was a bit on the salty side. The dish was also a bit overdone with cheese, making it seem like a kid's menu item. I ordered the duck confit, which was excellent. For dessert we had the sweet potato crème brulee and the bread pudding. Crème brulee was tasty, albeit very sweet. Bread pudding was unique in that it had the consistency of custard, and the accompanying crème fraiche tasted more like sour cream. Overall the experience was neutral to positive."

  • "Was looking forward to lunch. Got their early. OPrdered food, but took 40 minutes to get meal. Had to pack it up and eat in the office. Ended paying for parking, expensive. Never got an admission to the dealay of food being served."

  • "Went for DineLA. My bacon/arugula salad was excellent, but the Salmon entree lacked flavor and the Brioche on my dessert was burnt. Yuck. The entryway of the restaurant is also not very inviting and the decor was just didnt interest me at all. The bathtub with honey bear was just weird. Overall, everything was just ok."
