It was recommended, and well worth
it. The food was superb, especially the steamed ravioli, we had not 1 order but 2. Outstanding"

Have not eaten at a more eclectic
restaurant in NY. Service outstanding, and very attractive"

Although the seating was a bit
cramped, the food was excellent and the Rose Sangria was superb. Had a great experience!"

Nice staff, good quality food and
specially prepared with excellent taste. Ideal for dinner prior to the Tango show (which is right next door to the Tango House). Highly recommended."

Great food, nice ambience. Had the
spicy beef salad (good, nothing special), and the Chilean Sea Bass (divine!!), with a lychee saketini (also delicious)."

Outstanding food. Didn't know if I
would like Vietnamese food. Pleasantly surprised."

Food was good for adults - not
great for fussy kids. Doesn't have anything really that's "typical" chinese/japanese that kids would choose from. Service and waitstaff were excellent and tried to help us find something to please everyone. Would definitely go back - maybe with all adults."

We flew in from Sweden for the day
and everything from the greeting when we came to the off-we-go-drink was amazing! So happy with the treatment and service we got. The food was exquisite and drinks the best. We will definitely come back again. It felt personal but still we had our privacy. The staff noticed us and took care of us."

No longer new and trendy, but
great food in a timelessly beautiful spot."

I booked a table for 2 last minute
for me and a friend visiting NYC. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host in a particularly unfriendly manner. Our waitress was not much better - fairly unfriendly. Food was good but service very disappointing. "
Dined on 5/27/2014
The food is outstanding, the decor
stunning, the noise level is so loud that at a small size table for four, conversation was impossible. In fact, the noice level was so high that our server could not quite hear what we ordered and 2 out of 4 meals came out completely wrong, add to that the drink orders also came out wrong because the server had not heard quite what we said, and it's not because he was hard of hearing. We happened to be seated in the middle of the dining room, tables so close that one of the guests got bumped into constantly as servers were squeezing by. Perhaps the tables along the walls are quieter. "

indochine is a noble restaurant
with an excellent cuisine. We have enjoyed our dinner much"

Indochine is a classic, my dear.
Indochine Martini with pineapple & ginger-infused vodka, Summer Rolls with Shrimp were fresh and peanut sauce gave it a kick; my favorite Amok Cambodgien was buttery and full of coconut-milky herby goodness. You can't order a meal at Indochine without the Sticky Rice. And no, you can't find the recipe online - I've searched! The earthy richness of it leaves me craving more. I know there is Chinese sausage, green onions and dried shrimp… We finished off dinner with iced Vietnamese coffees. Not really traditional, but tasty nonetheless. The scene is still so vibrant. I'm happy to say that Indochine is still a "hot spot" in NYC, and a classic with its palm leaf motifs on the walls and dimmed lighting..."

The food was good, but the place
is so load! Almost impossible to hear yourself at 8pm."

I have been coming to Indochine
for years and every time I dine there it's a wonderful experience. Everyone I bring to Indochine absolutely loves it."

Not having been to Indochine
before we had a perfect time from the beginning to the end of the evening. Arriving early due to the pending thunderstorms we were greeted with a warm welcome and a perfect drink at the bar. When we were seated they were more than happy to move us away from our windy a/c spot. The food was perfectly timed and delicious."
Dined on 5/10/2014
We chose Indochine for two
reasons. One, because there are so many meatless and fish choices on the menu. Second, because it's one of three restaurants mentioned in American Psycho that are still in operation. It did not disappoint. The wait staff was gorgeous and attended to our every need. Food came promptly and was hot. My husband ordered the bean curd entree and the sauteed rice with shrimp. The Asian flavor of the bean curd was fantastic. The rice was the low point of the meal. It was a bit too fishy. However, I had the vegetarian stew in a curry broth and it was SUPERB. I had a side of jasmine rice and dipped the rice in the broth and it was heavenly. The cocktails are pricey, but stiff. We would love to go again!"

I love this Place. I allways come
back whenever I'm in New York. This time I also introduced the restaurant to some other friends from Sweden. They loved it as well:)"

I went to Indochine with friends
last night. Restaurant was way too loud - as in hard to maintain a conversation without screaming -; food was very average - overall blend and poorly executed, sole tasted old -, and extremely pricey for what it is; service was also disappointing. Would definitely NOT come back or recommend it to anyone."
Dined on 4/28/2014
Time and time again, hands down my
favourite restaurant in the city. "
Dined on 4/23/2014
Worth coming if you're not in a
rush as the food is fantastic, but--at least on the night we were there--not not enough waitstaff. Simple dinner for 4 was 2 1/2 hours of trying to get someone's attention. We will go back for long, leisurely yet delicious dinner. "
Dined on 4/20/2014
Service sloppy, appalling
actually, kind of like the service you are getting when you are not getting service. Food ok, not remarkable, not helped that main (bouillabaisse) luke warm by the time it got to our table. Noise level irritating, at least. Honestly there were so many things that were displeasing , I don't have the strength to go on, I want to put this hugely dissapointing outing behind me. Then they tried to give us someone else's coat from the coat room when we were leaving , but failed to give us our bag, which we had to help the non caring bag check girl to find. This was one of the most disappointing dinners I have had in a while! On so many levels..Do not recommend and not EVER going back."

Indochine is just an incredible
restaurant, between the excellent food and the fabulous staff. It is like attending a party. Dinner @ Indochine is the highlight of each of our visits to NY."

Indochine is a gem. I first went
there over 25 years ago, and its still one of my favorite restaurants in New York. The food is absolutely delicious, and it maintains its downtown chic ambience after all these years."
Dined on 4/12/2014
We had a lovely experience as a
group of friends and family for early Saturday dinner before our show at the Public Theater. The service was prompt and attentive. The place is just lovely. Our mixed drinks were delicious; the prixe fixe dinner allowed us to explore a range of dishes and everyone enjoyed what they had. We will surely be back. Everyone raved about it the day after. Always a good sign!"

This restaurant was a real gem!
The food was delicious! A wonderful combination of French and Vietnamese. Definitely not a place to miss!"

Even though Indochine has been a
NYC hotspot for decades, it still manages to feel fun and fresh. I recommend it for a great night out."

buena cantidad y excelente sabor"

Good cocktails - especially the
Indochien Martini. They have a cozy little lounge were you can enjoy your drink before dinner. The food was really nice as well. My favorite was the fresh salad roll as a starter. Delicious. I was there on a friday and think it's a great place to dine before you go out."
Dined on 3/28/2014
Food was excellent. Still a great
vibe. Service was lackluster at best - oftentimes felt that they forgot us. Hostesses were cold and unfriendly - by far the worst part of the evening. Someone should tell them that they aren't about to be discovered .... and if they are, the attitude won't help."
Dined on 3/27/2014
The food was not that great. So
sorry. I have to be honest I was a bit disappointed."
Dined on 3/22/2014
Have been here two times before
over the last three years and always been overwhelmed by the service and the great food. Not this time. A obviously stoned and not very helpful waiter made the food taste even worse than it should have. The food was ok but not more. Think the lack of good service and the fact that at least two of the staff where so obviously intoxicated gave us a bad Indochine experience."
Dined on 3/9/2014
Thoroughly enjoyed Indochine. The
menu had a selection of interesting cocktails and the sea bass is one of their signature dishes that should not be missed!"
Dined on 2/20/2014
We went to Indochine for
Pre-theater dinner during Restaurant Week and were pleasantly surprised by the variety and exceptional quality of the Restaurant Week menu...This restaurant has held up very well over the years and is stil lone of the better Indochinese inspired restaurants in NYC...."
Dined on 3/7/2014
I dined here this weekend with
friends after Indochine had been recommended to us by another friend. Maybe the experience would have been better had we done the restaurant week option and sampled a greater variety of food, but even so I was disappointed by my experience. The decor was nice-clean and very well decorated, probably to distract from the food. We had a few things between us (duck, hanger steak, sticky rice, and spring rolls), and despite everything looking good on the plate, everything tasted a bit bland and was, overall, nothing to remember or rave about. I expected to overpay since it is Manhattan, but paying $25+/entree for food I could have made at home seemed unnecessary. Try Indochine if you want, but I won't be returning."
Dined on 3/7/2014
Really enjoyed our dinner, amazing
food as always! and great ambience. After all years it's still a really nice place to visit!! Love the interior and it's always with a stylish crowd, wish I love. However the staff need to shape up a little, even if it's a busy night they should be able to handle it better, specially the bar tenders were very slow even if the actual bar was not crowded (never got our cocktail before the dinner:( and the servant never came back to check if we needed anything else or check if everything was ok, this is the difference compared to dinning at top restaurants...the service never lacks ;) Anyway I would really recommend the place for it's amazing food and interior. xx"
