IndochineUnexpected GemIndochine was highly recommended from a friend and what a pleasant surprise when i walked in. Refreshing from your typical NYC restaurant. It was unique and fun and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the yellowtail appetizers, outstanding!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAcross the street from the PublicThis little gem would be great anywhere. We went on a Sunday evening so it was quiet. Had the pre-theatre special. My discriminating sweetheart enjoyed the food and so did I. Ambience is top notch and romatic. The service is not the greatest however. Used to be very trendy, still very popular so go on an off night6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMDependableThis is my second time here and it never disappoints. I love the pan asian style of this food. We started with the crabcakes and they were delicious and so was the sauce that came with it. The shrimp was spicy, but that didn't bother me. My friend asked for hers to be less spicy and they were very accommodating.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been a fan for manyI have been a fan for many years and have loved everything about it: food, ambience, beauty and charm of staff.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMIndoHad a great time. Wait staff was perfect -- and gorgeous. Highly memorable experience.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMClassicI have beencoming to Indochine for over 20 years and have always emjoyed myself. Great vibe, great food really nice staff. It went from ueber cool trendy to a little bit post theatre in this time but they kept the level of the food and the general feeling up.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMHappily dependableThe food is great, the ambiance excellent, the wait staff top notch, the crowd upscale without being overly trendy. This place has stood the test of time and never disappoints. My only complaint is that the tables are so close together that if the person sitting on the banquette side is on the larger than 100 lbs it's extremely difficult and intrusive to the table next to you to get in and out.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently good flavorsI have been many times and have always been happy with the service and the food has been very good. I'm always leery of pre-theater menus but there are so many choices on that menu that all three of our party ordered from it. We all enjoyed our selections including Thai dumplings and spring rolls for appetizers and Cornish hen, salmon, and vegetable curry for entrees. We dined very early because we were headed to the Public but were not rushed at all by the charming and professional staff.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place is an institutionThis place is an institution in NYC dining. The food and the people are fun and sexy!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMVisited this New York treasureVisited this New York treasure with last minute reservationson a Saturday night. The lovely maitre de was kind enough to get aUs a booth so we could enjoy a quiet conversation and do some people watching. The lime and vodka wast amazing! Card cakes, beef salad and seafood bouillabaisse were ALL excellent. Toppied the evening off by sharing the perfect lemon tart. Glad to see after all these years, Indochine has not lost the bounce in its step. Highly recommended!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service. YouGreat food and service. Henning (Denmark)3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMSuccess at IndochineAn article raved about Indochine's spicy beef salad, which prompted us to make a reservation. After taking a look at the menu, we decided to skip the salad b/c there were so many other interesting dishes to choose from. The Indochine Martini and the Gin Gin; both very refreshing. The spring roll app had a twist b/c you wrapped them in leaves and dipped them in sauce. I decided to try something unique, Amok Cambodgien - sole wrapped in banana leaves. At first I was surprised by the coconut milk taste, but ended up liking it a lot. Staff was very attentive, attractive and pleasant. Occasionally an attractive young woman with headphones would dance exotically in the middle of the restaurant. The server said she was a regular. Cool.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat looking restaurant,Great looking restaurant, terrific food and supercool looking staff!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways great food, great ambiance.Always great food, great ambiance.
