All four of us like the food, and
there was enough for me to take some home. The only downside was the noise level; it made it hard to talk across a small table."

This is a fairly attractive
restaurant decked out in classic Indian style decor, although the furnishings seem a bit old and tired, and maybe needs more frequent cleaning, as the dining room had a rather musty and damp smell the evening we were there. Food is ok, not exceptional but meets expectations. Service quite attentive. Dining room not too noisy (when about three fourth full)."

I am a frequent visitor to this
restaurant. The food is great, service is impeccable and the ambience is wonderful. They even offer parking for $3 on weekdays and $4 on weekends. This is great place to bring guests/visitors and also have social gatherings."

Ate at Indique Heights after
purchasing a Groupon. We love a good curry so decided to try. The restaurant is fairly large but it feels a bit dated with smudges all over the walls and chairs with tired fabric. Was 1/2 full on a Wednesday night at around 8 pm. We ordered a vegetarian thali and a chicken dish. Overall food was ok -- not great but nothing to complain about either. However, the service was abysmal. Our server was sullen, brought out the wrong drink order and as soon as our food arrived he positively ignored us. We had to wait ages for the check and he even passed right by our table at one point -- not to check in with us, but to push in a chair on another empty table! We'll not be returning here."

I havew to say that I wasn't
overly thrilled with our experience the other night. We started with the vegetable samosa, and we received ONE samosa. It was good, but not worth the price to split between two people. The mulligatawny soup was excellent, and the garlic naan was good (although, not garlicky enough for my liking). I was a bit disappointed in my lamb dish. The sauce was excellent, but the meat pieces had a lot of fat and gristle. The biggest disappointment, though, was our service. While the tables around us seemed to be well attended by their servers, ours took our order and then wasn't seen again. Others brought us our food. We had to flag the manager down to get our check."

just an overall great place. the
food was nice no issues. the desert was great! i asked if they can do a surprise for my girlfriend. It was her birthday and they sang and brought out a nice dessert for her. just overall great! will recommend to all.than"

The dishes were delicious,
especially the dal and okra, and the Naan. Server was courteous and patient with 4 rather loud ladies and evening in general was v. enjoyable."
Dined on 3/28/2014
Overall it was very good food and
dining experience. However the size of the appetizers should be beefed up slightly. The lamb roganjosh flavor needs some working on and lastly there should be some additional focus in seafood and fish dishes. The fried tilapia was blandish. Must add that the waiter provided very good service."
Dined on 3/28/2014
The place is nice and very
convenient. Food is always good, not innovative."
Dined on 3/27/2014
This is a comfortable but not
memorable restaurant in a tony part of DC. It is a bit odd to take an outdoor escalator to a restaurant that is sandwiched between two slabs of concrete (floor and ceiling). The decor conveys India, we were greeted quickly and taken to our table. The menu offerings were standard Indian fare, and enjoyable but certainly not the best I have ever eaten. The place was quiet, the service adequate. The cocktails and food were delivered quickly, but the water glasses weren't refilled until requested, and the waiter discarded the uneaten portion of the main course while boxing the rice for me. Fortunately, I found this funny only because the food was not something that I was looking forward to eating later."

We enjoyed a relaxing dinner with
delicious dishes and excellent service and a calming atmosphere."

My husband and I had a great time
at Indique Heights. The food was excellent!"
Dined on 3/20/2014
Always great food and especially
nice wine list for an Indian restaurant."
Dined on 3/17/2014
Great food, environment and
service. Although our waitress was rushing us,she stopped after noticing we were enjoying our meal and company. The food was one of the best Indian restaurants that I have been to in the DC area"
Dined on 3/15/2014
We had a wonderful experience all
around! Parking below was surprisingly easy access and very inexpensive and convenient!"

I've been wanting to try Indique
Heights for some time now. I finally decided when I took a friend of mine out for a birthday dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was reasonably priced and very filling. The ambience is nice and I would suggest sitting by the fountain for an "exotic feel". The servers could be a bit friendlier, otherwise, it was fine."

Excellent Restaurant. It is by far
our preferred neighbourhood Indian Restaurant"
Dined on 3/10/2014
Staff was very friendly and
helpful. Bar area is very nice for waiting for table and drinks are good. Wide variety of food choices including a good selection of vegetarian options. Everything was excellent."
Dined on 3/8/2014
I love their food and service and
will continue to bring friends and family to enjoy this restaurant with me!"
Dined on 3/6/2014
Appetizers were good, especially
the samosas. Loved the chicken curry Indique and the lentils. Lamb biryani was very tasty."
Dined on 3/1/2014
Our reservation was for 9:30,
knowing that the place closed at 10. We were early and got seated quickly. The table was a little wobbly but that was fixed immediately. This was my second visit to the restaurant so I knew that the atmosphere would be nice. By the end of the meal, the place was empty which was also very cool. The parking lot was locked and we were concerned that our car might be trapped, but the manager was very helpful and we were able to get out. The food was spicy enough, and the menu has a lot of vegan options."
Dined on 2/25/2014
Indique Heights was a wonderful
place to dine with friends we hadn't seen for a while. Food was delicious, noise level was low, service was excellent, and we never received the bill until we asked for it."
Dined on 2/20/2014
I had seen the sign for Indique
Heights on the side of the building, but my wife and I had never dined there. She decided that she wanted to have Valentine's Day dinner there. Great choice! We would truly dine there again, especially in the warmer months becasue they have a great outdoor dining area."
Dined on 2/14/2014
We made the mistake of going for a
late (2 pm) lunch on Valentine's thinking to avoid the crowd. The food and service was good but as one might expect the buffet was a little on the tired side at that hour. The economical, but tasty buffet should be tasted before one at the latest."
Dined on 2/14/2014
My fiancee and I love Indian food
and went for Valentine's day dinner on recommendation from a coworker and after reading the reviews. I found it to be better than average, but not great as many of the reviews stated. Pro's....the parking on a Friday evening was great and convenient for $3. The food was tasty but lacked seasoning that I would expect from a god Indian restaurant. The lamb curry was really good and the sauce was legitimately good. Everything was luke warm, not hot, like the dishes had been sitting out waiting to be served. The drinks were very weak and the martini tasted like it was just purely tripe sec. The scallop and shrimp marsala was very ok. Good but very ok."
Dined on 2/14/2014
The food was good but the service
was poor. We were seated in the bar area which was poorly lit and cold. We were virtually ignored/abandoned by the waiter. And, had to flag down another waiter to get the bill. This was a business lunch with 4 clients so I was disappointed."
Dined on 2/10/2014
When making reservations on Open
Table, we indicated that there were 5 for dinner. At the restaurant the reservation came up for 2 not 5. The restaurant handled the situation well and seated us in relatively short period of time. There should have been an indicator from Open Table that this particular restaurant allows bookings via internet up to 4. Anything over requires a call. Otherwise the food was good, nice variety of vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes. We will return."
Dined on 2/8/2014
Luncheon buffet was very good but
the staff, with one exception, was remarkably rude. I would never take out-of-town visitors to Indique because of the lack of graciousness."
Dined on 2/5/2014
The food was pedestrian and not as
tasty as a few years ago. There are other places that offer more authentic Indian cuisine, such as Rasika."
Dined on 2/1/2014
Consistently good. We live across
the street from the restaurant so we go there frequently. Service and food are always good. Wait staff honors our requests and food has wonderful taste and presentation. Moderately priced with large portions it is a neighborhood gem and also worth traveling to."

Let me just start out by saying
"This place has north Indian food perfected down to the ingredients" I have been to India multiple times and you get use to Taj or any oberoi hotel groups of chain food but this place was recommend by my friend and the pimmstini (sorry for the spelling) was mixed well and was delicious. The decor and ambiance just took me back to state of Rajasthan and it's palaces :) .The appetizers were of good proportion and as a group we tried different dishes. The nilgiri khorma(sorry for the spelling) was fantastic and the level of spice just right for even picky eaters lol...I will be dining at this place soon"
Dined on 1/18/2014
Food was great, but it was a
little cold by the windows and server seemed inexperienced. She didnt check in much and struggled to figure out how to clear the plates and offer dessert. well intentioned though. overall a good stop for indian food."
Dined on 1/15/2014
A very nice restaurant with lovely
ambience. The food is good and fresh. It would be nice to see a bit more variety and experimentation beyond the normal Indian dishes, but the ingredients are fresh and the dishes well-presented."
Dined on 1/11/2014
Indique Heights is one of the
better Indian restaurants in the area. A friend and I have been going there for several years. This time she had the Paneer Makhani and I had the Shrimp Biriyani. We both finished our entrees, although I was disappointed in mine. It was not the first time I had Shrimp Biriyani at Indique Heights, but it was not as good as before. Yes, there were more shrimp than expected, but they were small and bland. I haven't had much luck in finding good Shrimp Biriyani in the DC area. Note sure if it is because I had my first taste of Shrimp Biriyani in Denver, and nothing around here seems to be as good."

Indique Heights is such a special
treat. Impeccable service and ambience, plus delicious and interesting food make every meal memorable."

Our first time back for the past
few years. Still an excellent, high-level Indian restaurant. Food was excellent. Would definitely return."
Dined on 12/25/2013
Service was exceptional and food
was great! I ordered a drink that I did mot like and they took it back and brought me another one even though I said it was ok. Always a great place to go!"
Dined on 12/21/2013
Our waiter appeared to be new and
tried very hard, was very pleasant, but was very slow, and did not know how to make a cappuccino, even though he told us we could have some. The value was good, we had the buffet."
Dined on 12/18/2013
The restaurant was busy on Friday
night. The noise level was quite high but we asked for a table in the back of the restaurant that was a bit quieter. Very good food and more than adequate portions. The service initially was fine but we had to track down someone to get the final bill. Would definitely return, but wish it was quieter so conversation was easier."
Dined on 12/13/2013
Unlike some other reviews, we
actually had great service. The food, on the other hand, was just OK. No specific critiques here, just that our dishes were not as flavorful or exciting as the same dishes we've had at other Indian/South Asian restaurants in the DC metro area. Would I come here again? Sure. Am I going to go out of my way to recommend it to others? Probably not."
