We had a lovely family time at the restaurant. Food was great, though serving of rice on the small side and you have to pay to get extra. We really enjoy Indian food, but because it is so pricey we can't go often. We will however come back when they re-open as our children love the place.

The fountain room with cushiony seating and lots if windows is a charming area of the restaurant to eat the delicious chettinad chicken that rests on the fine line of spicy and hot. I thought we ordered too much bread--plain naan and onion kulcha but the yeasty hot flatbreads were a delicious counterpoint to the flavorful expertly spiced dishes. Love the green chutney with herby tones that plays off the various dishes spices--sometimes cooling down and sometimes bringing out different flavors. Explosion of flavors that make sense. Warm reception, excellent value and one of the best Friendship Heights restaurants.

My husband and I tried out Indique Heights for dinner. We loved the decor, which had a loungey, relaxing atmosphere. When my husband commented on how much he liked the decor, the owner came over to our table and thanked us. Hearing that it was our first time there, he ordered a crabmeat in papad roll, which was new and unusual to us on the house! The food was very tasty, the type you expect to eat at home, not too spicy, not at all oily, just right. I am am Indian and a recent transplant from NYC with discerning tastes. So far I had not found even an average Indian restaurant in DC metro. This one's definitely a keeper and one we will return to.

The food was great up until the point a work colleague found hair in her food from the buffet food. Destroyed my appetite after that. They offered to remove her meal from the bill, but unfortunately, I can't go there again.

The restaurant was relatively empty so we were pretty surprised when our appetizers came out cold - even more surprised when the entrees came out lukewarm - the salmon dish I had was not even marinated - just cooked, left sitting to cool and then some weird sauce poured over it. Extremely disappointing.

For many years Indique Heights consistently has been an excellent restaurant and a great place for families, visitors, or business patrons. The excellent food is offered as small plates, full entrees, or a combination of both. We had an assortment of small plates including a bowl of wonderful mussels in a nice broth, a crab roll (creatively done), samosas, and two different, freshly made breads (one roti and one with onions). My dinner partner ordered a martini that she enjoyed. I had two splashes of wine (one white and one red) that were very good. The option of ordering two small glasses of wine rather than one large one offers the diner the opportunity to have different wines with different courses. The ambience is very pleasant.

On a recent Saturday night, we arrived 20 minutes late and they were gracious and welcoming. We sat outside on the deck and were given pillows to be more comfortable at our table. The wait staff was great and we had the most delicious Indian cuisine and great wine. From appetizers to the entrees, everything exceeded our expectations. The evening was lovely and the outside seating was perfect. We can't wait to go back!

After a recent trip to India, we were eager to re-live some of our culinary experiences. We have sampled several of the DC-area Indian restaurants in the past, but we found Indique Heights to be our new favorite. The food is a perfect combination of genuine and just spicy enough to be delicious without a need for fire extinguishers. I recommend it highly.

We had a lovely birthday celebration. The food was delicious but the service was inconsistant. Our waitress did not know the menu very well, had to be reminded to bring things and brought the bill before the birthday dessert. She then had to exchange the bill because apparently at this restaurant you get charged for it. This whole exchange distracted us a bit from the celebration. However the overall food experiences was excellent.

There were four of us who had a late dinner on a week night. The restaurant was not crowded but there was a very loud group in a private dining room that made conversation difficult. Luckily, the waitress put us at a new table that was quieter. The food was very good and the minidosas were a great appetizer.

Very good Indian food, different selections that were very nicely presented. We went for dinner as a couple based on a recommendation of a friend. We were introduced to different selections that we had known and were not disappointed! Also décor is very nice. Food was very good and tasty and presented in a modern decorative fashion. Service was very good as well. Definitely worth the drive from Baltimore.

I've been to Indique Heights many times and always enjoy the food and ambiance. However, it seemed to me that on this last visit the quality of the food, though still quite good, was not as stellar as usual. Maybe it will improve again after Indique Heights has completed the major renovation it's planning.

The food as always was wonderful. Buffet has a varied selection with many great flavors. It ism deal for the price and food quality. The service as usual was terrible. The servers during the buffet are nowhere to be seen. After you select the buffet, they vanish and you practically have to beg for a drink.

Ate at Indique Heights after purchasing a Groupon. We love a good curry so decided to try. The restaurant is fairly large but it feels a bit dated with smudges all over the walls and chairs with tired fabric. Was 1/2 full on a Wednesday night at around 8 pm. We ordered a vegetarian thali and a chicken dish. Overall food was ok -- not great but nothing to complain about either. However, the service was abysmal. Our server was sullen, brought out the wrong drink order and as soon as our food arrived he positively ignored us. We had to wait ages for the check and he even passed right by our table at one point -- not to check in with us, but to push in a chair on another empty table! We'll not be returning here.

I havew to say that I wasn't overly thrilled with our experience the other night. We started with the vegetable samosa, and we received ONE samosa. It was good, but not worth the price to split between two people. The mulligatawny soup was excellent, and the garlic naan was good (although, not garlicky enough for my liking). I was a bit disappointed in my lamb dish. The sauce was excellent, but the meat pieces had a lot of fat and gristle. The biggest disappointment, though, was our service. While the tables around us seemed to be well attended by their servers, ours took our order and then wasn't seen again. Others brought us our food. We had to flag the manager down to get our check.

This is a fairly attractive restaurant decked out in classic Indian style decor, although the furnishings seem a bit old and tired, and maybe needs more frequent cleaning, as the dining room had a rather musty and damp smell the evening we were there. Food is ok, not exceptional but meets expectations. Service quite attentive. Dining room not too noisy (when about three fourth full).

Overall it was very good food and dining experience. However the size of the appetizers should be beefed up slightly. The lamb roganjosh flavor needs some working on and lastly there should be some additional focus in seafood and fish dishes. The fried tilapia was blandish. Must add that the waiter provided very good service.

This is a comfortable but not memorable restaurant in a tony part of DC. It is a bit odd to take an outdoor escalator to a restaurant that is sandwiched between two slabs of concrete (floor and ceiling). The decor conveys India, we were greeted quickly and taken to our table. The menu offerings were standard Indian fare, and enjoyable but certainly not the best I have ever eaten. The place was quiet, the service adequate. The cocktails and food were delivered quickly, but the water glasses weren't refilled until requested, and the waiter discarded the uneaten portion of the main course while boxing the rice for me. Fortunately, I found this funny only because the food was not something that I was looking forward to eating later.
