One point however; we had a reservation and the maitre d' suggested we sat at a most uncomfortable table for two where one chair really wasn't a chair and for a back there was a vertical pillar. If the restaurant was full and this was the only option it might have been excusable. As it was there were plenty of available tables all through the time we were there. Why was the attempt made to get us to sit at the worst table in the restaurant, when it was almost empty. Perfectly cooked Corvina (based on my trips to Chile a TRUE Chilean sea bass.) My companions enjoyed the chicken breast---downsized a bit from the former menu offering but a more elegant preparation. Such a wonderful location for the ballet, etc. We don't like to go to same restaurant all the time. We had starters instead of full entree (they appeared to be very generous!). We loved our starters. My first bite of the tomato sauce with the meatballs made my mouth tingle! AND THEY HAD MITCHELL'S SORBET FOR DESSERT....The noise level is much nicer because the bar is small. The pre-symphony crowd had departed and were able to enjoy sharing our thoughts about the new jazz center event we had just attended. The waitress was very helpful without hovering. The kitchen accomodated our requests to share a crisp green salad with roasted beets and our entree of pork tenderloin with delicious borlotti beans and spicy greens. They also let us try their new ravoli of swiss chard with lemon caper sauce. It was suppose to be a side dish for another entree. The starter of dry scallops was pure heaven as the morsels melted in our mouths. Tuna tartare was outshone by the apples in the dish, I really wanted to taste the tuna itself more - still unique and tasty though). Ambiance is beautiful and quiet.
