"Indigo is truly a neighborhood gem, with much better food and ambiance than other restaurants in the vicinity. For bonus points, Indigo often has a table when other restaurants as near to the Symphony and Opera and Ballet and of the same quality are booked. Also, they don't charge corkage fee so I took a really nice bottle of Turley wine to enjoy with dinner. Very nice to dine there with friends."

"Indigo has to be the best restaurant value in SF! With their location proximate to the Opera House and Davies Hall, they principally cater to the show crowd. To entice customers for a "second seating", they offer an unbelievable Prix Fixe 3 course dinner for $49/pp, INCLUDING WINE! For our first course, we chose the Day Boat scallops and fresh green salad with Gorgonzola. For the main course, we chose fresh mahi-mahi and a delicious fillet. For desert, we chose the chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream, and the apple crisp. The wines poured with each course were very well paired and suited for the food. The service was very attentive - if not charming - we will definitely return! OH - and be sure to TAXI, as parking is limited."

"Wonderful food, accommodating staff (they made a polenta and vegetable dish for me on request), generous drinks, cool atmosphere. While the neighborhood is pretty sketchy, the restaurant itself is a charming and trendy oasis. I'd definitely return. So convenient to the Herbst, Asian Art Museum, etc. Loved it!"

"This well situated restaurant was a great before concert choice. the food was excellent interesting well prepared and the service very good. the waiter was obviously working hard but he remained attentive to our needs. I would go back happily."

"On Open Table, asked for a table away from the door. Hostess tied to seat us in a wind tunnel from the open front door. Asked to be moved. She took us to another table. Laid down the menus and left just as she did the first time. She needs more training on how to deal with customers and show a little friendliness. A smile would help too."
