Wonderful flavors. Service is fine but not exceptional. The beautiful old building with high ceilings and gorgeous colors is a nice atmosphere. The naan is delicious. Some of the food was much spicier than expected, but very flavorful.

We dined at Indigma for dinner. We ordered the grilled sampler, the lamb xacouti, the garlic naan, and mango and pineapple lassis. The xacouti was incredible--flavorful sauce, tender meat and acorn squash. The grilled sampler was good, although somewhat dry. The garlic naan was delicious, as expected. The mango lassi was very good, but we were disappointed with the pineapple lassi--lots of pulp and overpowering yogurt taste. Server was attentive, but wasn't terribly helpful in recommending dishes. Although somewhat pricier that comparable Indian restaurants, I would recommend it.

We went for summer restaurant week. The appetizers were fantastic! The entrees were good. However, the dessert was lacking compared to the rest of the meal. We both ordered of the martini list. The brandy martini was excellent. The service was fantastic. I will go back but perhaps another drink instead of dessert.

They had a good mix of grilled meats - tandoori chicken, kabab and some sea food and quite a few veggies. The grilled meats tasted authentic. It was nice to see white meat in the tandoori chicken mix. They had 2 desserts and chai and coffee were on the house. The deal was $15. I was surprised that the meats were not even lukewarm and when I brought it to the attention of management, they immediately took care of the issue. It was nice to look out the window and see the george washington statue and some flora. My friend and I sat there for a while and the servers made us feel comfortable to hang out as long as we wanted. The manager helped alleviate our anxiety with on street parking by pointing out a few spots that were free.

Indigma is notable for creative, flavorful Indian and Indian-style food. Great for vegetarians as well (the spicey salad and vegetable coconut korma were outstanding). My dinner date had soft shell crabs which she said were realy good in a delightful Indian sauce, though she admitted it was weird to eat soft shells that way. Overall: real yummie!

The old Indigma was cozy, sometimes bordering on claustrophobic; this one's airy and open. Beautifully painted and restored dining rooms in an elegant downtown building. Big windows; high ceilings. Wonderful, very fresh-tasting food, Indian but different in taste and appearance from any of the other excellent Indian restaurants we've been to in Baltimore--at least the dishes we ordered (there were also many familiar-looking dishes on the menu. Great, prompt but not rushed service, perfect for dinner before a performance. Of course, it was early and pretty empty still, so I can't say whether or not the service would be as good when they're busy.

We had a lovely dinner at Indigma on a dismal rainy Tuesday night in Baltimore. The maitre d' and wait staff were attentive and solicitous, going out of the way to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience. They have a fun and interesting selection of martinis and the food is delicious. We particularly recommend the open face samosa and mango shrimp. We look forward to our next romantic dinner at Indigma in wonderful Mt. Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore!

Indigma has good Indian food at a reasonable price. I was there on kabob night, and got a 20% discount on my lamb kabob which was delicious. My companion and I admired the high ceilings and interesting color choices on the walls. The atmosphere could be enhanced with either a mirror or painting over the beautiful fireplace. The only thing that was odd, is that our server did not know what the special of the day was.

We have been at Indigma several times before. Tried this time Kulfi for dessert. First of all it took a l-o-n-g time to bring the Kulfi. when it arrived, it was completely dried and broken into pieces never seen or tasted Kulfi like this before before. When asked the server, she said it was deep frozen -- looked like and tasted like from last year. Like brick pieces. They owner was not even concerned. Unexpected and disappointed.

I will be honest. Indian food is about the only food I do not like; however, my husband is a huge fan. So I found myself at Indigma for his birthday. This is the first Indian restaurant where I have actually eaten the entirety of my meal. The waitress was fantastic and helped me through the menu to find something I might like, bringing me different sauces to try until I found something I liked. She made great recommendations. My husband who does love Indian food thought it was spectacular. The prices are a little high, but they gave my husband a giftcard for his birthday. Overall, a great experience for Indian food lovers and those who do not enjoy the cuisine.

We were at our table for almost 10 minutes after being seated before we had anyone approach us. The food we ordered took a long time too and was not great, the appetizer of sea bass & the lam patties were both served lukewarm & did not have much flavor. The crab entree was good but the shrimp entree was tasty but dry and the rice on both entrees had no flavor. We both asked for sauce for the rice which took about 10 minutes to be brought to the table & by then the rice was cold. The restaurant was not that busy but service was not timely and the food was not very good either so we will not return nor recommend Indigma.

We arrived to find ourselves standing in line to check in with an absent host for over 10 mintes amongst a throng of angry and hungry diners. We had dinner reservations at 7 pm, but were not seated until 7:45 pm. No problem-I'll order a glass of wine at the bar. Only, there appeared to be no bartender. I waited over 25 minutes to be asked if I would like a drink. Once finally seated, it took over 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge our existence. My husband ordered tea. It never came. We ordered nan. It never came. They brought out the wrong entree for my husband. Blah, blah, blah. In all, we were held hostage for an hour and forty five minutes. Not acceptable. Worst service ever! NEVER. AGAIN.

You're not likely to find that at any other restaurant in the Baltimore area! The luncheon buffet changes all the time. There are so many choices that even the most timid or fussy eaters are able to find more than enough to satisfy. Eavesdropping in the line for the buffet means you hear people touting Indigma and their favorite dishes, and exclaiming over those that are new to them. I once heard someone say "I could be buried in saag!" The setting is lovely and for special occasions it is worth asking for a table by a window. The service is impeccable.

The food was outstanding - just the right amount of spice in the sauces, rice was cooked perfectly. Will definitely visit again. The restaurant is in a stately old house at the corner of Charles and Madison and features a view of the Washington monument. The only drawback to the ambiance was the slightly-too-loud Indian background music. The service was prompt and the servers were knowledgeable about the menu.

Was there for Valentines Day. Matre D was clueless. Didn't know where to seat us , initially forgot menus, then didn't give drink menu. Said. " our martini of the day is, um , ask your server." Music was too loud and we had to laugh the beats blaring in our brains. Server was pleasant but slow. Food was actually mediocre. Mine overlooked lamb chops ( burnt) and hers ok. Could be good, maybe... But not for us.

I took my wife there for Valentine's Day and we were both very disappointed with the service. They had a lot of busboys on the floor, but none of them seem to know what they were doing. One tried to clear my wife's half-full glass of lassi. Another tried to hand me an unopened bottle of San Pelligrino without even providing a glass. The woman who appeared to be in charge was serving as the hostess, a waitress, and food runner. At one point, she was changing tablecloths while her busboys looked on. The unfortunate result was ridiculously slow service. Not a good experience overall. But the food was fine.

I recently took a chance by taking a client with me to lunch at Indigma, a traditional Indian restaurant, relatively new to the Baltimore Scene (and completely new to me). I was quite pleasantly surprised. Although the mid-week lunch menu was limited to an Indian Buffet, every selection I tried was seasoned and cooked to perfection: Tandoori Chicken, Lamb Saag, Curried fried fish, lentils, pickled red cabbage salad, among my favorites. There were even many more vegetarian dishes, ranging from very spicy to mild. All were worthy of exploration. The selection was more extensive than I can recall, but I do recall that my client and I gladly went back for seconds. Superb food and service in a warm and charming setting in Mt. Vernon.
