A word from Indian Clove
When was the last time you were initiated into eclectic Indian food in an avant-garde ambience that would leave a lasting dining experience?
With the opening of Indian clove, New Yorkers will have one more reason to appreciate authentic Indian cuisine
Enticing is the restaurant from the moment one enters it. The restaurant’s background music and the modern yet spacious décor will soothe your soul. The straight seating arrangement, coming at the expense of placing fewer dining tables, gives the restaurant a spacious look.
Indian Clove prides itself in serving fresh, not pre-cooked food, something which is pivotal for getting the taste right. Items from the grill are marinated over 24-hours and grilled to perfection after orders are placed. All appetizers and entrees are priced moderately ranging from $4 - $14.
Michelin recommended INDIAN CLOVE serves it up tastefully in the heart of Staten Island; in great style!

we were driving to long island from Baltimore and refuse highway fast food. this gem in Staten Island beckoned and while empty when we arrived the food and service were very good. could eat there regularly for solid Indian fare. while the naan needed a bit more butter and garlic, the Tika masala was delicious. attentive staff were pleasant. returning for sure.

Parking right in front is nice, or take the SIRT train(Grasmere station) right below shopping plaza from SI or ferry. The food is always delish. Naan, Lamb RoganJosh was great and the sauces are done very well. Definitely a good find and enjoyable.

  • Worst service and awful food.

Worst service and awful food. We hardly ate any of our dishes. The crab cakes tasted like they were thawed from the freezer, had no indian taste to them. We ordered Chicken tikka masala and Paneer Masala and Daal for main course. Everything was awful. I would not recommend anyone to waste their money.

  • Wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner

We decided to spend Thanksgiving alone because the kids were away. I looked on-line for restaurants on Staten Island and saw Indian Clove's Thanksgiving offer. We wanted a quiet atmosphere and good food. We found exactly that and even took home leftover turkey to feast on the next day! I recommend Indian Clove highly.

Good food, good service. Any questions we had were immediately answered. The food was speedily served. If this is the first time you're trying a place like this and you have absolutely no idea what anything is, it is perfect.

Indian Clove always serves great food. Service is friendly and attentive. It's always so hard to make a choice because of the wide variety of interesting choices on their menu! The only issue was my dining companion's salad had many wilted leaves in it that could not be eaten - that should be checked in the kitchen before being served. Aside from that, I do look forward to returning.

We were very pleased with our dinner at Indian Clove! The food was excellent, and the servers were attentive. We were there early, and it wasn't very crowded. They don't yet have a liquor license, so be aware and plan accordingly. We ate all of everything we ordered and especially recommend the rogan josh and the butter chicken.

I luv luv luv this place! I am so happy Staten Island is now introducing more diverse culinary options besides your standard Italian or diner fare! I had purchased 3 Groupons because I had previously first tried a tasting at the Richmond Count Food & Wine Festival and I knew from then that the food would be excellent. Thank goodness the Groupon came out, because I had forgotten to try the restaurant and the discounted deal reminded me to check it out. It was my first time there andt the service was awesome! They must have realized we were newcomers because they even brought out delish garlic nan for the table & for dessert, the best salty & sweet pistachio ice cream & rose ice cream... all compliments of the chef! luv this place!

The food was excellent and we definitely would return. We shared a vegetable biryani and tandoori chicken-both were delicious. However, on the menu, the chicken tandoori implies that you are getting a whole chicken, but you only get half. We also ordered garlic naan which was very good. My friend had a mango lassi for dessert which she said was wonderful. The service was very attentive and pleasant.

Food could be better. Some desserts are better served warm. Should know what to recommend to those who do not know what to order (especially desserts). Descriptions are not enough and in this case were not quite upto mark either.
