"I'm not sure how Incontro has stayed in business this long. The service has been poor since the opening date. We have complained to the owner on a previous visit and the only response we received was to ask if we were upstairs or downstairs. No further reply was heard. This most recent visit was pretty much a repeat of every other visit: beautiful building; average food; extremely lousy service. The restaurant was approximately half full yet we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The waitress did not check to see how the food was once it was delivered. When we were finished with dinner it took about 20 minutes to receive the check and about the same time to pick the checks. We have given it enough chances; no more."

"Had not been in over a year, was one of my absolute favorite places to go. The restaurant ws not busy, the food took forever...it was only just air at best and this was all five of us. The pizza for example was the best around - now it tastes like It came from a sub shop! Very diasappointed.
The one saving grace was the waitress Lynn - her fabulous attitude made up for the rest. I sincerely hope they take a look at what's happened to there food."

"this was my first visit to a restaurant I'd passed without noticing (it's just off the road I travel) for several years. It was convenient based on my plans for the day. I was blown away by the quality of the food and service! I did not expect such a fabulous restaurant hidden away in a small town off the beaten path. I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone who likes or loves Italian food and/or great steaks!"

"This is a reliable neighborhood eatery offering tasty, and sometimes creative, dishes. However, they are not going to give anyone the wow factor. The service is pleasant, friendly and efficient . The wine list is varied with many reasonably priced selections. We had a calamari salad and crab cakes for appetizers , both of which were as promised. The crab cakes avoided the typical sin of too much breading and were indeed mostly crab. The main courses of sword fish and pasta with duck confit didn't set the taste buds atwitter, but they were both tasty, with the pasta perhaps deserving a bit more duck. Overall a reasonable meal at a reasonable price."

"The food is good and service effecient. The only downside to Incontro is the noise level is very high as the walls are stone and there is nothing to absorb the noise."

"Incontro is a good place to go to hang out at a bar, play pool, go with a group of friends.....If you are looking to be able to have a comfortable conversation with the people you are dining with, it is near impossible because of the noise level and the weird booths that are so long you can't talk to anyone other than the person sitting next to you. The food is fair and expensive for the lack of quality compared to other restaurants. Everything our group ordered was over sauced and heavily salted. The menu looks very interesting and has a lot of what seem to be good choices but the food was dissapointing."
