Diner Reviews
  • "Really superior service here. Our server was phenomenal, attentive and knowledgeable without hovering. The wine list is solid and reasonably priced. As a bonus, it's sorted by characteristics of the wines (rather than the originating region or the name of the wine). It made pairing really simple. The descriptions for this place indicate they do small plates, but the portions were closer to an entree. The patio area is lovely, and has a view down the street of the lake in Celebration. Parking in Celebration is always a bit of a challenge, and this one is close enough to the water to limit the parking right next to the restaurant -- it's easier if you try to park on one of the arterial streets (try along Water) and walk over."

  • "We enjoyed fresh sangria and lovely salads outdoors on the sidewalk in downtown Celebration. Good food, fair prices, excellent service. If I lived in the neighborhood I would frequent regularly."

  • "When ever we are visited by friends or family, the Imperium is on our list of places to take them in Celebration."

  • "The ambience could use some help and the waiter varied between slightly rude and attentive- which was confusing. The food is good, but they need to add a few 'dishes' vs mainly sandwiches- especially since they have lots of food friendly wine. Pretty area and I would go back"

  • "Not a real extensive Sunday brunch menu but what we had was great. Server was good though quite chatty."

  • "Made reservations the same day. Showed up 10 minutes late but was no problem. Decided to eat at a table outside. Nice view of the central part of Celebration. Food was great. Shared an appetizer of spinach and artichoke dip and a bruchetta flatbread. Half flatbread was a good size to share as a start. Brisket Burger sliders were tastey. Would go back again for the flatbread."

  • "I surprised my husband and took him here for Valentine's day, and we had a great evening! There was live music that was not so loud we couldn't converse, the food was delicious, affordable, and not at all pretentious, and the service was quick and friendly. Overall, we had a great evening, and would recommend it to anyone planning on heading to Celebration for a fun, laid-back evening."

  • "The dinner special was an eight ounce filet with lobster mashed potato and asparagus sides. The chef did not butterfly the stake that I wanted cooked medium well. It was perfect! This was our second meal in a week while staying in Celebration."

  • "We had a great dinner last night!! The host was awesome, service was outstanding, our steak dinner was perfectly done! Having live music and watch the action on Market st. was also an added plus, we had a great time!"

  • "Had a different server than ever before. She did a wonderful job! Continued with the excellent service we have come to experience from this great place. Love the menu changes, BTW. The soup was really tasty! Large bowl and four spoons so we could all share. Love the ahi appetizer. Perfect blend of noodles, tuna and avocado. YUM! Salads were perfect. Cuban sandwich pretty nice too! And some great beers on tap too! Thanks for a great evening!"

  • "Love the menu adds! The kale sausage Parmesan soup is just fantastic! And the beers on tap for fall are wonderful! Can't remember the name, but I loved the lager with pecan flavor?! Can't go wrong with any of the salads. Love the Ying Yang shrimp salad. We keep coming back due to excellent service and great food."

  • "Just love this place! We enjoy Friday night live music by John Dorian. What a great place to relax at the end of the week. Luke was our server and attended to every little detail. The chef came by and chatted with us. The dinner special of seared tuna was yum. Had friends dine with us that are vegan and they can be accommodated. My husband had the pork special. Quite tasty as well. The owner spent time talking with us. All very personal. This is on our regular list of great places to eat. The outdoor patio is also fantastic! :)"

  • "We made a last minute reservation for a party of 7 and were immediately accommodated when we arrived. The food was delicious. There was live music that was good and not overwhelmingly loud. Our Five year old enjoyed her meal and the music. Overall, it was a great experience."

  • "No hummus, no cheese for cheese plate and no apple pie. All on menu and no mention prior to ordering. Could be great but obviously very loosely managed."

  • "Always wonderful here. I eat here all the time and have never had a bad experience. Prices are very reasonable, yet the ambience suggests it would be a lot more expensive! Nice looking place and lots of wines to pick from, but not stuffy at all! Curry chicken wrap is my fav and the apple blossom dessert is amaaaaaaazing!!! All the servers are awesome, and Luke is a fav of ours! Very knowledgable about wines :-) Enjoy!"

  • "This place was great. Not too casual, not too pretentious. Just right for a good food variety with a decent wine list. Just enough to make a usual evening out special."

  • "Excellent service - we were are group of 7 at a dinner meeting. The waiter was perfectly attentive and was very sensitive to our needs. Food was excellent - selection is small for dinner but everything was excellent. The portions were perfect - not oversized. The wine list was great and the server also made excellent knowledgable recommendations. The pulled chicken salad was to die for and the appetizers (we had a selection including a flatbread) were delicious. The biggest shock came with the bill. It was so cheap!! 7 people, 4 bottles of wine, entrees and 3 apps were less than $450. Very much recommended!!"

  • "Sat outside (beautiful Florida weather!) and brought some first time friends. We enjoyed the hummus (a favorite with that warm pita bread!), the lobster bisque was quite good. For mains enjoyed panini sandwiches and tasty salads. Known for many wine choices but tonight we had beers. Pretty good that unibraugh (spelling?) beer. Always a perfect go-to place. You won't be disappointed."

  • "It's a multiple stop every vacation. An obvious favorite for locals, too. Have eaten indoors on a chilly day but their sidewalk tables always lure us on sunny Florida days. Classy, friendly servers. Innovative chef."

  • "Best restaurant/wine bar in Celebration. Onwers and staff are awesome."

  • "This was the second time I have been to this restaurant. It is a very nice place with a great neighborhood feel--it has a very good wine selection as well as an impressive draught beer selection. The food is not outstanding, but I would rate it as "very good." The live entertainment is also a plus, but on nice nights most everyone is on the back patio or the front sidewalk, so it would be even better if the entertainment could be pumped to the back patio via speakers. If you are in the Kissimmee/Celebration area, this place is a nice destination for a good, upscale, reasonably-priced meal."

  • "Overall a wonderful experience. Food was great! Had a live vocalist. Elegant choice of music. Impeccable service. Wait time for food couldn't have been any better. Would definitely recommend to others and will be returning."

  • "We had a group of 16 women for a long lunch while visiting Florida. Our server, Luke, could not have been more accommodating or friendly. The food was fantastic (especially the baked Brie!) and they had a nice wine selection. We will be returning next year for sure!"

  • "Very enjoyable meal at reasonable prices. Food quality was excellent and so was the service."

  • "Great place for Valentine's day. Choice of tasty steak/seafood or cheaper alternative with soups, panini, etc."

  • "I had the opportunity to dine at Imperium Food & Wine this past Saturday (January 26, 2013) and would (and will) definitely recommend. I only shared the Brie pastry (which was VERY good by the way), the food presentation was tastefully done. I went with a good friend and she and I had a great experience. The wine list was quite good considering the size of the establishment. They had a Classical acoustic guitarist playing in the main indoor dining area which was a very elegant touch. We ate on the patio out back. It was an appropriate ambience and I did not feel the noise level out back was intrusive at all to our conversations. A nice neighborhood gem!"

  • "Quirky and fun with good food and great wine. The live music was appropriate for the evening. Unfortunately, as more people came in, the noise level got very high. We left once we had to shout to here each other talk."

  • "WONDERFUL Sunday Brunch menu as well as a great deal for Weekday Happy Hour specials. The regular menu has a lot of unique options. The Baked Brie is a wonderful option to share and the peanut butter panini is an excellent choice if you're looking for something out of the ordinary! There is patio dining in both the front and back to patio. The front patio has some umbrella covered and some open seating, and the back patio is fully covered which is lovely during the majority of the year. The staff here is very friendly, and although the wine list is not extremely extensive, there are some great choices on it. Being in the main street in Celebration it is a great place to people watch as well."

  • "After reading the reviews we went thinking we'd have a very nice, gourmet meal. To our surprise the menu looked more like a lunch menu than dinner. No real entries but lots of finger food and soaps. So we created a wonderful dining experience by ordering 4 different appetizers and pairing them with the impressive wine by the glass list. ( a real miss for them that they didn't offer any flights to test and enjoy, could bring in more business) 3 glasses of wine each along with our food were plenty."

  • "Always a pleasure to sit out on the sidewalk al fresco for lunch or dinner. The casual food goes perfectly with their winelist, which is varied and interesting. Luke, our server, is a treasure."

  • "This place is great! I love sitting on the front sidewalk and watching the people go by. They have happy hour until 7:00 with $2.00 off glasses of wine and all starters."
    Dined on 9/19/2012
  • "Menu is limited; more standard fare (almost like a soup and sandwich place) but for the specials which had some nice dinner entrees. Portions are large, 2 can share. The great part was the service and the knowledgeable staff (they knew the menu inside out, including the wine menu). Our server gave us great descriptions and recommendations for red wine. I finally found a red wine I like, it's sweet. Wine prices are steep, but okay given the dining experience. Ex: Casteggio Sangue di Giuda $9/gl (you can buy it for $9.99/bottle, although not easily found at stores). This is one of the few places where you'll find more selection of sweet and sparkling wines, including dessert wines & an ice wine. Bravo Imperium!"
