The food is good but they have cut way down on the portion size. We have been coming here since the opening and have noticed the sizes shrinking while the prices have gone up. We still like it but that is disapointing.

This spot is tucked away in the Village of Roselle - although it seems like a lot of locals know about it. The night we were there, it started getting busy right after 6:00 (early) and there was a holiday party going on in their space next to the main restaurant portion. We started with the polenta which was amazing - it had pork shoulder and bolognese on it and was delicious. Not sure about the mascarpone with it, but that was easy enough to move to the side. Husband got the meat ravioli and added mushrooms and fresh mozzarella to it. I went with the farfalle with prosciutto and peas in a beschamel sauce. Both were good, but not amazing. Dessert was okay and service good have been better...

I love Impecca! For the first time, though I had to send my entre back due to medallions being well done rather than medium. I will, of course go again and will continue to recommend to my friends; I just won't order steak!

Charming little storefront adjacent to the train tracks opens to a dark little eatery with cozy tables, a fantastic bar (with equally fantastic drinks),and attentive service. This is quite a tiny place, but fairly well hidden - so there was no problem getting a table. We were surprized at the quality of the food, drinks, and service since this was a last minute choice to find something in the area - but will surely return.

We have dined at this restaurant before and it has been very good but that was when it first opened and in that first year. This time we were really disappointed. The portions were huge before now they were skimpy. My husband ordered the scampi and the shrimp were way overcooked and the portion was way to small for aq hungry man. I had the veal and it was also overdone. I don't think we will be going back.

This is a local restaurant and we have dined here often. We have never been disappointed. Our server, Gabriela, was both knowledgeable and attentive. My husband had the veal saltimboca (sp?) which he enjoyed very much (I've had the chicken version of this dish previously and it's one of my favorites). On this occasion, I ordered the "make my own" pasta option, ordering spaghetti with bolognese sauce. It was very good, but probably not one of their best sauces. If I had to do this again, I'd order the marinara, with meat balls on the side. The Impecca Sauce is excellent, but a bit too spicy for me. I'd love to see lasagna on the menu.

THis was my first time to IMPECCA. The food was very good. I had the chicken marsala and it was bursting with flavor. My girlfriend had a spicy pasta dish and it too was very flavorful. Our waitress was very polite and attentive. She made us feel like VIP's. It was a very refreshing experience. Many past diners have complained about the train noise to which I reply, get over it. It lasts for all of 15 seconds. It just adds to the adventure. I will definetly go back.

Since this is one of the few restaurants in our community, we have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed it. This time, it was particularly good. I understand they have a new chef. My husband loved his pork chop/salsa dinner (a special that he wishes would be added to the regular menu). I did my own pasta dish, which is fun and affordable. They are definitely an asset to our town.

It is so good to find a restaurant that will allow modifications and additions to menu items. Good wine, great service. Only one train on Sunday night, now if they could figure out a way to get the smokers to avoid walking past their outdoor tables, it would be great.

We enjoyed the food more than we expected to - better than your typical suburban Italian restaurant. But why, oh why, would you seat a first time diner in the "bar side" of the room, with the tile floor, right next to the busy bus station? It wasn't as if the place was full. We will go back, but will demand to be seated on the dining room side.

New, limited menu. Other diners around us commented on missing some of their favorites. My eggplant and my husband's whitefish needed a bit more flavor, although I loved the crunch of the eggplant. The passing trains are VERY loud, but we knew they'd be there before we sat down. We may try it, again.

The food was excellent. The service was very slow. Our waiter was overloaded with tables and didn't not seem to be able to prioritize who was served when. The table next to us came in after us and ordered after we did, but was served first. The waiter disappeared for 15 minutes at a time and when he did show up, kept apologizing but he never got any more efficient. When the entree was presented, he could not remember who had ordered what. He also mixed up to refills on different white wines - giving to the wrong select to the two white wine drinkers. He also blamed the bartender for the slow bar drinks that were ordered.

Although the menu has shrunk and the portions have as well, we still enjoyed our food. The prices are also up. The impecca sauce was lacking the amount of sausage it used to have but the flavor was still good. No chicken giardinara on the menu anymore. We would still go back but its too bad that a great restaurant is now only a good restaurant.

I find Impecca to be just okay. I want it to be great; I would come in several times a month if I looked forward to the food and service more. We shared the stuffed mushroom appetizer which was served cold the first time around. We sent it back and it came back hot and much better, but a little bland. I had the gnocchi (too salty)and my husband had a pizza. When eating we overheard a waiter at a different table describe specials that we were not told about. My husband had commented to the waitress that the menu had changed and seemed shorter than the last time we were in; she said it was a different format, but things hadn't really changed. She didn't mention any specials to us. The gnocchi arriabiatta sounded good so we will try again.

We have eaten here many times and always enjoy it. I understand they have a new chef and there are some new items on the menu, and some old items gone. I had the breaded chicken cutlets, which were somewhat disappointing - breading had an odd flavor. The other 3 people dining with me were very happy with their meals. Also, they were out of our first wine selection and also our dining partners' first wine selection, so we had to make a 2nd choice. While we found acceptable substitutes, it was a little disappointing.

We enjoyed our time at Impecca. The food was good as was the atmosphere. It was a little loud but that was because there were too large groups of people on either side of us. My husband's plate did not come out with the rest of the table and he had to wait about 5 minutes or longer to get his meal. They said that someone else had taken his dinner by accident so they had to make another one. Other than that, it was good. Since it is a local place and in a nice area of Roselle, we would probably go back for an impromptu dinner.

We had the occasion to dine Saturday before going to the play at the local high school, the service was at best slow. Luckily we had mentioned to our server that we needed to be finished in time to get to the play. It still seemed she was lost trying to recall drink orders, who ordered what and ended up bringing an extra entree that no one had ordered to our table. I don't know if that was her first night at work, if so I can understand but if not there is a whole lot of improvement needed. We didn't always have the slowness of service at this restaurant, so I don't know what has changed. But I suggest something be done.
