Imoto Room at BuccanAnother delicious meal! After loving our dinner at Buccan our first night of vacation, we couldn't resist Imoto. Yet again we were impressed with our meal. Our waiter was extremely helpful in explaining and even showing us some of the dishes on the menu before we ordered. We decided to do a few of the small dishes on the menu to share. It was just my date and I but we wanted to try it all! We started with edamame with the soy glaze. We also got the lobster and shrimp salad in a coconut. Very nice presentation and tasty! We then shared the duck tacos, tuna sliders, and grilled octopus. All had a taste we hadn't had before! Dishes are quite small so we left satisfied from these. Very exotic and fresh flavors are found at Imoto, it is a must in Palm Beach!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot, awesome food.Great spot, awesome food. Small and quiet enviorment with still a nice bar scene. Located next to buccan which is always great for drinks after. Fun spot for friends and a great date spot as well4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMInteresting variationsSome interesting variations on sushi type food. Some too tricky. Regular sushi and sashimi fresh, but very expensive (Palm Beach prices). Cooked food had some good choices , but again pricey. Upscale crowd seemed to be having a good time. Would go back and try some more new things. Short ribs for example, even @ $30. Focus was on sushi for us this evening and no reason to give up on our regular haunt.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food....great experience!!!Took my wife here for our anniversary. Very friendly and attentative staff. We were greated with "Happy Anniversary" wishes the moment we walked in. We were asked if we can move one table over within minutes to accommodate a larger group. This was not a problem for us at all and we were treated to an awesome Tuna Sashimi on the house. Very nice of them. Small little place compared to its big brother Buccan but food is as good. If you go have the edamame with the addicting soy glaze, duck tacos, and Tuna Fois Gras sliders. They' have rolls on the menu but i'd recommend getting the small plates instead. We had their Rainbow Roll. It was good but not as awesome as everytging else. I will be going back to Imoto.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWhy didnt someone think ofWhy didnt someone think of this before. It is just what Palm Beach needed. Delicious classic and trendy sushi. Wonderful flavours. Happy friendly staff, You just want to go right back as the food is so delicious!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMLocal fave with international flareLove the food and the service is outstanding. The manager checked to make sure we were happy. Everything came looking and tasting great. A real treat.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is terrific- definitelyThe food is terrific- definitely order the Peking duck tacos and tuna and foie gras sliders. The warm mushrooms were delicious as well. Creative cocktails capped off a fun dining experience.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Small BitesFrom service to food, all was perfect. It is very small, so reservations are an absolutely must. But if you find yourself craving first rate sushi at the last minute, give the sushi bar a try. It seems like there are often seats available there.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAll I can say is WOW!Wow! I went to Imotto expecting some good sushi rolls - boy was I wrong! The food was amazing! I had not even heard of half of the things we ordered but took the suggestions of our server. We chose 6-7 items. The dishes were brought out one by one so the table never became over crowded and we could savor each individual item and all of the complex flavors. I waited for a long time to be able to get a reservation but it was definitely worth the wait - my experience was amazing in every way!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWow wow wowWhat a great find.
Having been there a few times now, I'm really enjoying not just the authenticity of the Japanese dishes, the sushi and sashimi, but also the innovation into some of the other dishes. The hot dishes are spectacular. And, in all honesty, having eaten regularly in Tokyo, I can say that their sushi and sashimi is subtle, genuine, un-Americanised (sorry - no cream cheese) and high, high quality.
The mood of the restaurant is fun, energetic and stylish. It's small (a wise choice) and the tables have very little privacy, but given the environment and the reason for being there, that's cool.
Great, great food and fun times.3/7/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent , food they serveExcellent , food they serve compares to nobu
