  • "The waitstaff got our order right, respectful of dietary requests. They were almost too attentive, interrupting conversations in progress."

  • "We were really looking forward to trying Il Tiramisu . It was my birthday. I will say the service is very good. We ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer. The mushrooms were refrigerator cold even though the cheese was mostly melted on top. My salad was OK. I ordered Veal Parmesan. The veal was full of gristle and the breading was soggy. The taste was fine. My wife had the veal osso bucco and it was good. we drove from Santa Clarita because of some good reviews. We should have stayed in our area and eaten local."

  • "As usual I had an excellent experience it was my 75th birthday and we were there for over 2 hours and nobody rushed us to leave and the waiter was excellent"

  • "Really disappointed with food and service at Il Tiramisu. Went for a birthday celebration, party of 6, and the waiter was overwhelmed with the number of tables he had and we were left hanging. Hard to believe, but they only had ONE vegetable side with all entrees, string beans. Nothing else to offer. Salmon came with some strange sweet sauce, nothing was above average. No return to this establishment for us."

  • "My family and I have been dining at Il Tiramisu for years and have always been treated like we were their only customers. They are very personal and remember who you are as well as who is in your family. I went to a University foreign campus located in Florence, Italy and the Italian food at Tiramisu is the closest to being back in Italy that I could find in LA and I have tried many, many Italian restaurants in and around LA, San Diego and Santa Barbara. The Lasagna Bolognese is just like being in Bologna, Italy where it is a bit of heaven for lasagna lovers. I think that if you want a true Italian dining experience you should visit Il Tiramisu."

  • "Tiramisu is such a neighborhood gem and has been for many years! The dishes are always delicious and the prices are so reasonable, especially given the quality of the food. I`ve been there often -- for lunch and dinner -- and so appreciate the graciousness of the owner! A real star in the Valley! "

  • "My family and I have been dining at Il Tiramisu for years. Peter the owner is such a gracious host and has always provided excellent food and service here. Some of my favorites are the ossu bucco (veal and lamb shank), seafood pasta, and seafood risotto. The desserts here are so delicious as well, try the creme brulee, panna cotta, or the hazelnut gelato! Love this place and will always have fond memories with family and the food here!"

  • "Delicious food! Welcoming and friendly owners! Soups are always the best! Every time we come here, it feels like stopping by an old friends place for their best meal. Fish, salad, pastas always delicious, but the soups always strike me as special and outstandingly flavorful."

  • "Il Tiramisu is a great neighborhood find in Sherman Oaks. The decor is lovely, the owners are always warm and welcoming, and the food is excellent. There are always great fish choices as well as homemade pasta. Even people who are avoiding heavy carbohydrate loads can find healthy, wonderful northern Italian style dishes here, but those who want classic lasagna won't be disappointed either. Don't miss the poached pear in red wine for dessert!"

  • "This place is always wonderful, great ambience, food is delicious, excellent service. The restaurant was crowded but my husband and I were able to enjoy a nice conversation because it wasn't too loud. This is definitely one of my go-to restaurants where I know I'll have a great time, it's definitely a gem."

  • "Went in looking for a nice evening with my girlfriend, and found some great Italian food. Waiter suggested the lasagna, which is my test of an Italian restaurant and it rocked, hearty and meaty. Girlfriend had the pasta with the butternut squash and she loved it. Nice selection of wines at fair prices. There was a large party in the other room, but we were well taken care of. Seems like the waiters know a lot of the regulars."

  • "We have been here several times, and always liked the food. Last night was awful. I had lasagna that was cold in the center, and had been in the microwave. My daughters ravioli was also cold, and the cream sauce was starting to jell. The waiters seemed frazzled, maybe there was a shortage of staff. Whatever the problem was last night, I do hope they get it under control quickly."

  • "I wasn't aware we were only allowed the overpriced Valentine's Day prix fixe menu, so that was an unpleasant surprise from the moment we were finally seated after waiting 30 minutes after checking in with the host for our reserved time. It was only after when the waiter came to take our orders after quite some time that we learned half the things on the menu were no longer available for the day. This included their osso bucco, which was the very reason we decided to try the restaurant. To top things off, my date's soup was incredibly bland and my salad was depressingly wilted. Our entrees of salmon and chicken were quite good, but not good enough to make up for the string of disappointments."

  • "My girlfriend and I booked our reservation for 8:00 pm and immediately noticed when we checked in that the restaurant had overbooked their reservations. The hostess wasn't pleasant at all and ignored us initially. I finally checked in for our reservation and they wouldn't give us a time to be seated. A couple at the bar was leaving, so my girlfriend and I sat at the bar and waited. 8:30 pm came and went and we still hadn't been seated, so we at dinner at the bar. The food was average at best. It was Valentine's Day and we were ordering off a price-fixed menu, so I would cut them a little slack, but I probably would never go back. Would not recommend this restaurant!!!!!"

  • "Really like this place. It's laid back and chill, the waitstaff are SO professional and attentive without being overly so, and for a nice night out, it's perfect. My boyfriend and I celebrated Valentine's Day a day early to avoid the cluster, and it was the perfect idea to come here. They don't rush you out of the place and actually let you dine. I had a great Australian sea bass, which was delish. I also love their bread! All in all, great if you like low-key, good wine, and a reasonably priced place, strongly recommend."

  • "My boyfriend took me here to celebrate our anniversary- we had such personable service, the wine was presented and decanted, specials were described eloquently and the server paced our courses I felt like we were dining in Italy. The food was delicious and staff attentive- they really made our special evening perfect!"

  • "This is the place where you come to dine... the food in unique, the wine paired just right and specials are divine. The staff operates as a team so nothing is left undone- even their desserts tasted homemade. I can't recommend this place enough if you want to have a romantic getaway, a place to bring your co-workers, or friends that enjoy a nice ambiance and still able to chat."
