  • "I was hoping for this amazing meal, but my veal shank that was claimed by out waiter to be the best think on the menu and just fall off the bone was overcooked and the fava beans with it were undercooked. My husband ordered some shellfish that were not cooked long enough either and some weren't even opened due to not being cooked long enough. The bread, butte, and olives were the best part about the meal!"

  • "I was a little disappointed. We have stayed at the Phoenician for years ( since the year it opened ) and have always thought it was above and beyond in all of the restaurants they have. It was a very slow night maybe 5- 7 table total that we could see. The lights were too bright I felt like I was in a diner. We moved to a different table and it was not much better . The service was spotty at best. Sat for longer than needed with out beverages more times than once. Food was good but not great. I don't remember anyone asking us how our food was so we could not comment if we wanted to. I doubt we will be back or recommend this restaurant to anyone. And expensive for an evening that was just so-so."

  • "The Phoenician might have been good in its day, but now it looks like a dated Las Vegas hotel. The Sunday buffet was mediocre and not much above what you'd expect at a much lesser location. The berries and whipped cream were good, as was the decadent tower to end the meal. Wife had the short ribs and they were pretty dry. Service was not good as we waited quite a long time for coffee refills."

  • "This would mark our 4th trip to Il Terrazzo for dinner, and every moment has been consistently exceptional. We trust Il Terrazzo to provide us with a memorable experience each time, so we tend to use it for our most special of occasions. I planned my surprise engagement there, where they went above and beyond, contacting the resort's Bake Shop to create an absolutely beautiful "Will you marry me" cake (she said yes!). We spent an anniversary there, and my wife loves it so much that she has chosen it to be her birthday dinner location for the past two years. We have had so many amazing memories thanks to Il Terrazzo and their dedicated staff, and we look forward to many more."

  • "Our anniversary dinner was very nice and we greatly appreciated the staff's hospitality. We were greeted warmly by the hostesses as they wished us a happy anniversary. The table we were originally sat at was a little noisy due to a large graduation dinner so we were asked if we would like to move somewhere else or perhaps dine outside. Our waiter was very accommodating and service was fast. The real credit goes to the cooks, however! We ordered the osso bucco and the scallops and as a professional cook who works in fine dining, I was very impressed. Everything was perfect."

The Antipasti was quite something, stacked with cured Italian meats, and the bread board was very nice, including olives. While the Carbonara wasI very nice, I was expecting a little more flavor from the oso bucco on risotto. The man with the falcon trying to keep the black birds from landing on tables was an interesting touch! The one complaint; the waiter announced a spring break drink special; pomegranate margarita; it was unimpressive - way to much alcohol - and it was $14!"

  • "My date and I picked your restaurant because of the outdoor sitting. It was lovely, quiet and romantic the first hour (we had reservations for 6:15). It was perfect UNTIL a group of "30 somethings" came in (7 adults) who had several children apparently under 10 or so. The children ran wild. The kids where literally running in and out of the patio, screaming (as kids do) while their parents did nothing to calm them down. Instead they acted as though they were on their patio at home. It mad me very angry, and it was rude. Must to my dismay the staff did nothing to curb these abhorrent behaviors. I talked with the staff and they felt like they were in a quandary as to what they should do. "

Be sure to sample the pesto pestassio bread dip - very good!"

  • "This was a lovely place for dinner, where you could dine outside and enjoy delicious food in the warm desert air. I returned to this restaurant following a visit last November. The food was very good both times, and the service as well, but the ambience was less attractive than before. In the intervening four months, the hotel has turned the pool area into a family-friendly venue, complete with neon lights. These are visible through the trees, and the sound of children playing in the pool is clearly audible. The noise continued until around 8:30; the neon lights were on throughout the evening. Neither was attractive, and I wouldn't dine there again before 9pm."

  • "We had lunch here in this beautiful setting facing the pool on a gorgeous day. I had salmon risotto which surprisingly had other vegetables in it and was delicious. My wife had a pasta dish with fish and complained the pasta was dry. The desserts we had were delicious as well as the soups. They have aggressive birds that prey on empty tables, interestingly after the meal a falconer came with his bird and the birds preying on tables left."

The expectation was to have authentic Italian food. There were some pasta dishes, but the menu displayed other items that were not Italian dishes - some unavailable. Food was very average. While I had a business breakfast there, many people were having breakfast having just exercised, played golf, so something to be aware of if you want a strictly business environment.
